Wow! Last trip to this place. We were charged $416.30 for these thieves to install 4 spark plugs. Did not even bother to test drive when done. Car still ran terribly. Turned out it also needed a coil pack. Can't imagine what that would have cost for them to do this. Used to be a good place to go, but NO MORE!!
Had trouble with my car makin noise an not run right, so I take it to this repair shop. The guys here know what they doin, fix it up quick an didnt try sell me stuff I dont need. Price was fair, work was honest, an now my ride run smooth again like new. Good folks, I be back here next time somethin break.

I walked in thinking I needed a spark plug replacement, they cautioned me to let them take a look first. As a technical person myself, I said all right. You tell me if you think that's the root cause or not.
They checked it out over the weekend, open the hood up, check the engine and the spark plugs and set everything was fine. They didn't even charge me for the diagnostics!

My daughter's car was acting up and low on oil. We took it to Midas and they immediately assisted to find out what was wrong. After finding the car had an oil leak they diagnosed the problem and fixed it in the spot to ensure our safety. Don and his team were outstanding!!
My car was leaking oil with check engine lights all on, so we called Midas and spoke with Don who got us in to have one of his technicians look at my car right away. Not only did they confirm I had almost no oil left, instead of just refilling the oil and sending us on our way, they put my car up on the lift to double check it and found there was a significant leak which would have totaled my engine had I continued to drive.
Don and Carter helped get my engine completely clean and get my oil refilled and secured within an hour. They were incredibly helpful and kind. Would highly recommend! They saved me a totaled vehicle.

The only option I thought I had left was to throw Holy Water at it and call the Vatican. The Midas crew? They basically performed an automotive exorcism and brought it back from the dead.

This location is so trustworthy, friendly, and fast! My car has been through here twice, and without a doubt both times were the best experience I’ve ever had when going to a mechanic. All of the employees were great and straightforward which I appreciated very much.

Excellent service on Friday afternoon at 4pm when my tire check light came on- air was coming out fast. I appreciated their willingness to check out my situation on a late Friday afternoon. I have faith in Auto repair again! My hours have been cut at work and I have very little money I'm actually going to the food shelf. And this dealership checked my four breaks told me they were fine that they were at four and five and they needed to be replaced at 3. They did tell me I needed four new tires which I really do. I will be back I will get my four new tires here and I will tell everyone I know to come here. Thank you so much I am a single 62 year old woman with no money and you we're honest and kind. I will drive from Golden valley just to get my car worked on here.
These guys are the best every time. Just pulled in to the parking lot bc there was a drill bit stuck in my tire and they came out to the lot with me, pulled the bit out, concluded there was no damage and sent me on my way. Great people and great service
Both my front tires blew on my way to work (fortunately before I got on the highway) and I happened to be less than half a mile away so I gave them a call and they said to come on by. I'm always scared to try to pick a shop to bring my car because my zone of genius is not car maintenance and I never know what questions to ask. Don was so kind and I'm not sure if he could tell I was on the verge of tears when I arrived, but he was out in the parking lot waiting for me when I pulled in. He took a quick look at all my tires and was able to clearly explain how he knew I would need to replace all four tires (he wasn't wrong, I've never gotten these tires changed ever - upon checking with the family mechanic, he was surprised my tires lasted as long as they did). My car was a mess and it needed an oil change and they just did a wonderful job taking care of me. I was able to get some morning coffee and wifi in the waiting room to get a little remote work in while they fixed up my car. Thank you so much!!

I took my car in because the check engine light came on, they checked it out and charged me over $200, okay, no big deal, I took it in a second time and they told me that the spark plugs needed to be changed and that was the reason why it came on again, I didn't even last a week and the same light came on again on my dashboard, I took it in a third time when the problem was supposed to be fixed and they told me it was the engine that had been misfiring for a while, why weren't they able to detect that the first time? I had to spend over $500 for them to tell me I had to pay another $700 because it turned out that what had failed before wasn't the real problem. Look for another Midas where they are more capable. I've never had to go three times and pay for different things only to finally get a solution after paying for other adverse solutions that weren't the problem that caused my car's check engine light to come on.

If you’re a woman who dreads taking your car in for service—this is the place that will change everything. The Midas in St. Louis Park is truly a gem. I’ve been here twice in the past year, and both experiences left me feeling cared for, respected, and honestly, kind of delighted.
It’s like taking your car to a trusted family member—someone who knows what they’re doing and won’t sell you anything you don’t need. The shop is always clean and welcoming, and the two kind, professional gentlemen at the front desk (they remind me of Click & Clack the Tap-It Brothers or your favorite dad/uncle duo) are the real deal: polite, straightforward, and genuinely looking out for their customers.
The first time I brought my Porsche in for a warning light, they did a thorough check and found that it was just a light bulb—then only charged me $30! Today, I brought it back for what I thought was another light issue. They checked it out carefully, confirmed everything was working perfectly, and refused to charge me a dime.
Who does that anymore?!
As a bonus, while they’re working on your car, you can pop across the street to Opitz and treat yourself to a little shopping. It’s truly the best car repair experience I’ve ever had, and I can’t recommend this place highly enough—especially to other women looking for a shop they can actually trust.
Let me start by saying this—there were a lot of issues. First off, the customer service was extremely snarky. Just because I had previously tried changing one brake pad myself, they acted like I was some kind of joke. The rep even told my wife never to let me touch her car again. It was cold, and we needed a quick fix. I’m not super knowledgeable about cars, but I was just trying to help. Regardless, their attitude was unnecessarily rude and condescending.
I brought my wife’s car in because the brakes were really hard to press. They did a brake inspection and told me it needed new brake pads and rotors—cost me over $500. Same day, I picked up the car thinking everything was fine, but while driving, all the warning lights came on—ABS, brake, airbag—you name it. Suddenly, they claimed a bunch of other things were wrong that they somehow missed during the initial inspection. They told me I needed a new master cylinder, a booster pump assembly, and something was wrong with the car’s computer system too.
I ended up spending around $400 just on towing. All of this could’ve been avoided if they had done a thorough brake inspection the first time—but they didn’t. And instead of taking responsibility, they made excuses and tried to cover themselves, like management often does—pulling things out of nowhere to justify the situation.
Then they told me the total cost to fix everything would be around $6,000. The front desk guy even offered to “look for cheaper parts” for me. I talked to a few people, and most said $6K is something you’d pay for engine repairs, not brakes. Very questionable.
So if you want your time wasted, get unprofessional customer service, be ripped off, and still drive away with car issues after a half-done inspection—go ahead and take your car to Midas in St. Louis Park. Otherwise, stay far away.
I came in on a Saturday, they were busy but got me in after making the appointment the evening before for an oil change. I waited in the lobby while they performed the check, ran an online coupon and got to work. They replaced the oil, made recommendations for part replacements but did not press too hard on getting them serviced that day. Got in and out for around 50 dollars with a new engine filter. Chris gave me extra information about the job afterwards. Nick offered beverages while I waited. Good service and friendly staff, especially on a Saturday afternoon!
I've been going to Midas in WSP for years. I started going there for oil changes. Louis, the manager there at the time, treated me very well so I started getting all my automotive repairs done there. Now, all my family members go there to get all their automotive work done. When Louis was transferred to another store, I had some reservations about the kind of service we would now receive. Dustin Yewel has put all my reservations to rest. He has been great to work with. He explains what needs be done to the vehicle; the cost of the repairs; and when the repair will be done. Dustin is both very professional and personable. He is able to explain things in terms that are easy to understand. I call around for price checks when something needs to be preformed and I have found their prices to be very competitive. I would recommend the Midas in WSP to anyone.

I moved last year to Minnesota and didn’t know any auto repair in the area. I browsed on internet and found Midas St Louis Pk. That time I just needed an oil change. When they do, they check other stuff in the car and even sent a report with pictures. A few months later I needed a front brake to be done. Service was fast at reasonable price. Usually I schedule online but sometimes I call the store directly, both phone, online and in person service are pretty good. Once they check your car, they say if you really need to get a job done (don’t try to sell unnecessary service). Waiting room it nice, they offer coffee and drinks for free. I would definitely recommend this Midas location. Now I’m here for a car alignment, I hope everything goes alright like usual.
