We use Frankie's for tows and honestly, we love the company. Quick to respond, and always a pleasure to work with. Most of the low reviews are for people who did in fact park illegally.. People don't just tow cars for fun. If you cant pay for a tow, make sure you know how to park.

Rude workers. My car was towed for being parked “illegally” in a shared parking lot that I had to park in due to my apartment complex cleaning the garage. Once I realized it was towed, the guy on the phone said they were closed at 7pm and to come pick it up at 8am the next day. I arrived at 8am and there was not a soul in sight. About 10 minutes later a car pulled up so I went inside and she demanded $310 in cash. CASH? who carries that much cash on them. So I went to a gas station and took out money, went back to Frankie’s and the worker demanded $395 now… so back to the gas station I go. They obviously make up their own prices as they go. Horrible experience, took almost an hour to get my car out. Almost $400 to tow a car down the road and have it sit overnight. I wouldn’t recommend giving them business as they make plenty enough charging people whatever they feel like. Call highway 10 towing, they are people worth your time.

My car was towed by Frankie’s Towing from my brother’s apartment at 6101 Brooklyn Blvd. They demanded $355 in cash only to release my vehicle. According to Minnesota Statute § 168B.07, Subd. 1(c), an impound lot operator “must accept payment by cash, check, debit card, or credit card for all services.” Refusing anything other than cash is not compliant with state law.
Additionally, Minnesota Statute § 168B.035 ties private property tows to these limits, stating the fee for towing and storage “must not exceed” the caps in § 168B.07. Those limits are $150 maximum for towing and $30 per day maximum for storage. Frankie’s charged far more, with extra “admin fees” and a $35/day storage rate posted on their office wall.
I paid under protest to get my car back, but I believe this was an unfair and unlawful charge. I have receipts and photos and will be filing a complaint with the Minnesota Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.
Consumers should be aware of their rights under Minnesota law before dealing with this company.
If I could zero stars, I would. This company wrongfully towed my fiancé’s truck and left me stranded out of town overnight- all because their drives are inept and unable to correctly read North Dakota license tabs.
Early Saturday morning (I was correctly parked in the visitor section of a friend’s apartment) our vehicle was towed. When I called the tow place confused, as I was parked legally, they informed me the registration on the vehicle was expired. Knowing my fiancé (he’s very diligent about these things) I knew it was untrue but the woman informed me they don’t allow people to come get their vehicles after 2 PM on Saturday. I was forced to stay another night and lose an entire day, missing obligations I had back home (3.5 hours away).
When I was able to get to this joke of a company on Sunday morning to retrieve my vehicle the woman asked if I had the required renewal documentation for the tabs. I informed her they were never expired and had a confirmation email from my fiancé (dated April 2025) proving so. She then went and looked at something on her computer (I’m assuming photos of the license plate from when they towed it) and informed me they weren’t expired (which I already knew) so I clarified that it should have never been towed in the first place, which she admitted.
ND tabs display the month in large numbers (different than MN), so instead of the driver performing their due diligence, they hooked up the truck and hauled it off. This wasn’t a minor slip-up. It was negligence and again, sheer ineptitude that cost me time, money and peace of mind. If you are unable to correctly verify registration before towing then maybe you shouldn’t be towing individuals for this reason. Towing a vehicle isn’t some small matter, but yet you all treated it like it was for incorrectly assuming the registration was expired. Your drivers should also understand out-of-state tabs and professionals working for the company should own up to mistakes. Instead of an apology or really ANYTHING other than being allowed to retrieve my vehicle, I was told I could reach out to the manager about my frustration. The manager should reach out to me, not the other way around.
With the nature of this company, some people will be unable to avoid them. But if you are able, please avoid them at all costs. Their careless, uninformed practices created needless hardship and they show ZERO regard for the people they inconvenience. I will also be reaching out the apartment complex where the vehicle was towed from to complain and suggest they hire a different towing company to patrol their parking- one that actually knows what they are doing.

I was very pleased with Shawn's service and helpfulness. He was on time and was pleasant. Shawn did a fine job in getting my car to Tires Plus in Plymouth.
The lady in the office Maria is soo rude and disrespectful she has not type of manners what so ever I’ve been keeping my cool and not going off on them last time they towed my car it was parked in a “ fire lane “ that had no type of sign or anything the second time around 2:00am they towed my car out of this spot they said I parked “illegally” so I’m coming on here to let everyone know they don’t play around and they are a scam !! 300$ for yawl towing my car is absolutely crazy Georgetown apartments a lot of folks park in spots they aren’t supposed to and I haven’t seen they car towed !! There is nooo parking spots whatsoever so I parked here !!

I was an idiot, and locked my keys in the car, I called Frankies Towing and from the 1st minute speaking to Gina, I called the right place for help. She was so pleasant and said she would send someone right over. She didn't lie, 2 men were there less than 10 minutes. Steve, and another guy had my car unlocked less than a minute. They were so professional and delightful. I will 100% recommend Frankies Towing to my friends and family.
The guys are so nice and they arrived quickly! Hunter did a great job! It’s wonderful to be able to feel safe and taken care of when you are stuck in a broken down car on the side of the road!

I don’t normally leave reviews like this, but what I experienced with Frankie’s Towing was beyond hurtful it was personal and deeply dehumanizing. After my car was towed, I ran into one of their drivers at a gas station. I was desperate, and I asked him from one human to another if there was any way he could help me get into my car or work something out. I explained that I’m a mom, I’m struggling financially, and I just needed to get things for work and school. Instead of compassion, he looked at me and said, “Maybe if you had a baby daddy around, you could get your car back.” That comment crushed me. I had already been pleading, trying to hold myself together. I wasn’t asking for a free ride I was asking to be seen, to be treated like a person going through a hard time. What I got was a cruel, racist stereotype thrown in my face. I didn’t sleep that night. I kept replaying what he said, how it made me feel small, worthless. No woman, no mother, no person deserves to be spoken to like that. Frankie’s Towing should be ashamed not just for their lack of professionalism, but for the emotional harm they caused. I will never forget it.
Was visiting my sister at her apartment complex and this towing company stole my car with no prior warning or signs around the parking area. All 8 visitors spots were taken at a 200 residential apartment complex so I parked far at the end by the side of the rode which had no signs indicating towing. I have work the next day with no mode of transportation. This place is unethical and demanding $355 for my car they stole so disgusting. I’m suing them for stealing and making thousands off of people’s stolen cars. Other residents then ran out during the commotion to try and protect their cars.
I was called last night by my 72 and 73 year old parents. They had gone to visit my aunt and uncle at their apartment building. Frankie's decided to steal my parents car and hold it for ransom overnight. The medicines in the car, the temporary handicap placard from a recent hip replacement, the food items in the car, all were held for ransom, too. A phone call to the company to get the important stuff out, and we were told to call the police. The police called it a civil matter, even though Frankie's had stolen the car. So being told to call the police meant that they knew that part of the scheme and didn't want to face their guilt. Then, they demanded a cash payment for the ransom. I wonder how many cash kickbacks go to others in their scheme? That theft left my parents stranded. Morally repugnant, a disgusting way to do business.
My car wouldn't start and I was going to have it towed to the dealership. Banks was able to determine that it just needed a jump start, saving me a lot of money. Banks was friendly, very professional and courteous and got me back up running in no time.

I was a bit panicked when my car needed to be towed and it was in a secured ramp downtown. the good folks at Frankie's towing could not have been better! I spoke with Renee and she got right on it, found Steve to help and they arrived within 90 minutes in the pouring rain. Steve was amazing, friendly, kind and totally helpful. The ramp was to small for the truck so he pushed the car to turn it around and then jumped it to get it going then got it out of the ramp and towed it. he went above and beyond. they were a great help and very nice too. I recommend using them if you have a towing need, these folks were great.
Had my trucks wheel bearing go out. Banks showed up promptly and had everything taken care of professionally and quickly. I can’t emphasize how much I appreciate the service. The person who answered the phone was concise and very helpful as well. Highly recommend.

I needed my car towed to a nearby auto repair shop. I just stopped working! I was referred to Frankie's Towing from the repair shop and placed a call request to them. The wait time for the tow driver was very short!! The tow driver named Banks was very good at customer service!! He greeted me and explained to me exactly what he was going to do! It is because of this great customer service that I will refer Frankie's Towing to my friends in the event that they need a tow!

My car was pouring out oil. Thankfully I was at a friends house and they noticed the leak before I left. We called Frankie’s towing and within 20 minutes of entering their phone number, Jeff was walking up the driveway. He was so polite and professional, very efficient. Jeff stopped to check in on me while i was sitting on the side of the road after spinning out, he stuck by till there was certainty i was okay and a plan was made to get the van out of the way. He was actually in the area to tow a different vehicle and ended up pulling my ol' minivan too! Focused, professional, & enthusiastic. Thank you Sir!
