Had a specialty tow for an abandoned piece of heavy equipment from my business parking lot. TCTR was fast, responsive, and had a "Can Do" attitude. There were 9 other companies that wouldn't help me but TCTR was on it. Next time I know who to call for any towing needs.
Recently in a traumatic car accident, I've never been in one before so naturally I take full trust in those around me to direct me in the right direction. When tow arrived he explained where he was bringing the vehicle and what to expect. I asked him for an estimated cost and he let me know a reasonable amount and broke it down for me.
Arriving to pick up my vehicle, the cost had TRIPLED!! Why?! I have no idea.. They gave no real explanation except for "you have an Audi and it's all wheel drive".... I asked if they can help with a tow out and that alone cost another $320. I told them that I will have to figure out more money, "Is it okay if I grab my daughter's carseat?" Dear lord! They said, "That's going to be another fee to let you on the lot. And we can't let you in due to theft protection unless you've paid your total." Ridiculous. Like I understand protocol and all that. But when I finally sent payment and went onto the lot, my car was unlocked anyway!!
Crazy stuff for this kind of situation... I can only imagine how others are being treated. Take advantage of the weak, they say.. shame on them.
The most absolute garbage experience I have ever had with a tow company. Waited 2 hours and expected me to load a thousand pound bike up a steep, incline on their tow truck with the driver after being told they would bring a dolly. I would never use this company if you paid me
It is easier to get into an airport than it is to get these guys to let you into your totaled car to grab valuables. Apparently it’s for theft prevention. They just leave it sitting unlocked anyways. I don’t get it.
Awful experience. Charged twice as much as others in the area. When I told them this they said "Yeah, we are pretty high." I was shocked and upset by the amount and absolutley nothing was offered aside from an insincere apology.
This tow company doesn't care about customer service even if you are the one hiring and paying them. Just another careless predatory company. Shop elsewhere.
Used these guys for a tow tonight. The receptionist was very polite and easy to work with. She got all my info quickly and the tow requested. I didn't have to leave my keys so I headed home and the driver took care of the rest and called me to let me know it was dropped off to my local tire shop. Very quick and professional service.
My daughter was in an accident and her car was towed to their facility. Upset about the accident she did not get her things out of the car. She got an Uber over to the Plymouth Towing and they would not let her get her things out of the car without her registration. So she had to Uber back home to get the Registration she took out of her car. It is a shame they could not be more caring and understanding. If they absolutely needed the registration could be easily looked up online, but too inconvenient for them. I hope somebody treats their family better than they treated my daughter. I also called to talk to them and was treated with the same rudeness. I was told “don’t waste that on me.” When I expressed my concerns. I would avoid this business if at all possible. I feel sorry for you if the police call them and you are stuck with them. I am sure they will add to your already difficult day.
I would give this review 0 stars if I could. Plymouth Towing abandoned my car completely. I was on a call with a 911 operator who called them on my behalf. Despite that, when they showed up, they got out of the car, took one look at the situation, and decided to leave. Even though they are a CASH ONLY service and I had the cash on hand to pay them, they still left figuring they would make more money with easier and faster tows. Attached is a picture with the truck and its license place. An absolutely unprofessional company that should have no place doing business here.
Went off the road March 31st during a supposedly rare (it's Minnesota) snowstorm/blizzard. The tow driver came by when I made a call the next day and met me very quickly and easily at the agreed upon place and time and got my car out with no problems at all. Very affordable and would definitely recommend.
Very good experience real genuine guy named Clayton helped tow my car off an icy road and out of a snowbank! Very cautious about hurting my car cause it's rusty, I told him it doesn't really matter and he still pulled the car out gently! He also gave me some advice that will help me out! I don't usually do reviews but he deserves it!
Today I had my car towed through road side assistance. After the car was picked up, I took an Uber to the location it was being towed to, but noticed the tow truck went the opposite way. When I got to the location, I called the number back that had called me first to confirm the tow. I was calling to confirm the drop off location, but was asked "How did you get this number" before I could explain anything. I started explaining, and was told it will be there and I was hung up on. I wasn't even able to get any information on who to call if the car ended up going to a different location (because I certainly was not going to call that number back). The tow driver called me shortly after, to say his boss called him because "He just got a call from someone who was freaking out" (I wasn't freaking out, I was talking calmly as can be). The tow driver also said on the phone he had to stop to go to the restroom and he will be to my location soon. When the tow driver arrived, he told me that I better call him boss and apologize for my tone. Myself and the person I was with told the driver I was talking calmly to his boss. The driver proceeded to tell me he ONLY got paid $37 for the (no more than) 30 minutes of work he did. I have never done business with such unprofessional people, and I would not recommend using this service.
My vehicle stalled on a busy highway and Plymouth Towing picked up my car quickly. They also repaired my car and the price was very reasonable as I was expecting to pay much more. The mechanic was honest and kind. It was a relief using their services.
Granted I was 5 minutes away from their shop however they still dispatched a driver and got to me and towed within 10 minutes. Driver was very nice and respectful. Was able to drop the car in a parking spot perfectly. Would definitely use these guys again!
Have been going here forever! They have always taken exceptional care of my families vehicles growing up and now my family vehicles.
I have taken my vehicles to the dealership for "recall-work" to be performed and left overwhelmed, with long expensive lists of things that supposedly needed to be repaired immediately.
I brought them immediately to Plymouth Village Automotive & was told nothing needed to be done immediately. I love that there is a mechanic shop that is honest, and not out to steal your money. Seriously, so thankful for this shop.
Had one of my plow trucks go down with transmission issues. After waiting for 2 hours for another company I called Plymouth Towing and they were there in under 30 min. Rode with the driver to my mechanics. Driver was very kind and personable. Definitely recommend!
My brakes locked up on 169 and they were there in less than 10 minutes (seriously). The driver was friendly, professional and accommodating. I had already been waiting over an hour for both my insurance company and Verizon roadside assistance to find a tow truck. Next time they’ll be my first call. Thanks for the help guys!
I just used Plymouth Automotive today and am extremely happy with them. I did not have friendly experiences from most of the other places I called and were told by the other places I couldn't get my car towed today, one place said it would be 72 hours, but from the start everyone I talked to at Plymouth Automotive was so friendly which was very welcomed since its already stressful to have your car in a state to have to be towed in the first place. Got my car towed in a very timely fashion and extremely reasonably rates.
Easily requested an appt online. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Adam took a look at my car and was able to give me options and reasonable quotes without charging me anything. I really appreciated his honesty and advice and would trust them with any repairs needed in the future.
UPDATE: ended up needing a part replaced on my car and was able to get in very quickly. Paid less than I was quoted which was already less than other auto shops! Was very pleased with the customer service and overall experience here!
My car broke down and suddenly wouldn't start. I used their tow service to have it towed to their shop. They diagnosed and fixed the problem the next day. The description of the problem was straight forward. The service was efficient and done in a few hours. Best of all, the price was very reasonable. I plan to come back, and I would recommend this place to anyone who asks.
After calling it only took them about 15 minutes to come out and meet me! I was warmly welcomed by Adam, one of their staff memebers who was on call at the time. He quoted how much it would be and quickly hooked my car up to take it to the shop. Had such a great experience with this towing company!
Very glad I brought my car in for a second opinion here! I was told elsewhere that both control arms needed to be replaced, among other things. Scott advised me here that only one was torn and nothing else was wrong with my car at the time. He was very good at explaining all the details. I definitely appreciate the honesty and the saved money! The service here is very quick and affordable.
