★☆☆☆☆ Very Disappointing Service – Won’t Be Back I had a really frustrating experience at this O’Reilly Auto Parts location in Minnetonka (near the tobacco/cigar shop, CBD/vape store, Mathnasium, and Brooks School). I came in after buying a left headlight bulb, trying to replace it myself. I had already watched multiple YouTube videos and just needed about 30 seconds of in-person help to twist the bulb housing correctly from the back. Anyone who’s done headlights knows sometimes it’s not obvious. Instead of helping, the employee at the counter told me to “watch a YouTube video” and made it clear he wasn’t interested in assisting. This was especially frustrating because I was trying to avoid driving with a headlight out and potentially getting pulled over. What made it worse: when my wife went into the same store on a different occasion, an employee came right out to the car and helped her without hesitation. The inconsistency and attitude were disappointing. I’ve never had issues at other O’Reilly locations — Apple Valley, Eagan, and Burnsville have always been helpful and professional. This Minnetonka location, unfortunately, felt arrogant, dismissive, and unhelpful. I wasted time, money, and energy here and won’t be returning. If you need basic assistance with a simple install, I’d recommend going to another O’Reilly or a different auto parts store entirely. At one point the employee even said, “we’re not an auto parts store,” which was honestly baffling. If that’s the case, maybe this location shouldn’t be selling auto parts to people who actually need help with auto parts.

Bought a bulb specifically from this vendor because they are supposed to install with purchase. When I asked, I was told curtly, “no, I don’t do that.” Won’t be buying from here again.

I went in to get a new car battery and one of the older employees told me they wouldn’t do the installation bc it was too cold outside. He was very rude the way he said it. We’re talking about a $200-$300 product. Imagine the opportunity cost of that approach over time + the impact of negative reviews and word of mouth.

Came during store hours and they were closed. 5 other customers were here also trying to go to the store. Change your hours or be open when you say you are open.

The Minnetonka location's store size isn't the largest O'Reilly's in the area, however the customer service is always great and if they don't have the part you need in stock they will work to get it in as soon as possible.

Went in asked if they had any sales on oil change supplies the man behind the counter says look yourself and find out extremely unfriendly and unhelpful will never go back to this location

Pretty good has everything, workers don't know everything about cars. Find out what you really need and just get the parts or ask for parts. Just know what parts you need first.

Ordered a part beginning of week. They said a few days to get it in. I show up during weekend and they said they sent back already. They called me to remind me Friday to come get it. Very poor customer service. Will never use again.

Shopped there for years. If I couldn't find what I needed, I just asked. Never was treated disrespectfully. Used to do all my own car stuff until disabled. This time needed help with wiper blades. I did have to wait a couple minutes while another customer was being assisted but honestly didn't mind. Took the guy 2 seconds to pop the blades on & I was on my way. Will definitely look for an O'Reilly Auto Parts in my new neighborhood!

After shopping in the Navarre O'Reilly's for years where service was very friendly and they definitely wanted to help you any way they could, this was in contrast very unfriendly! It was a year before anybody even asked me if I was a member to their rewards program! Maybe it's different if you're from the local Good Old Boys Club?

The best. Period. I realized that my battery was not functioning properly late Sunday afternoon. All of the repair shops were closed. I was leery about getting the battery, given I would have to install it. Well, the wonderful man at O’Reilly’s installed it for me very quickly. I’m so grateful.

I buy both auto and boat parts and supplies from this location. One of their employees is even familiar with boats. Most of their employees know what they are doing. I have purchased various kinds of oils, lubes, sealers specific to my boat engine, and even ordered some specialized boat parts. What is really cool is they can get many parts in within 24 hours, whereas other shops can take up to a week. Prices are reasonable. I have bought many parts and supplies for my cars here in the 16 years I have lived in this area. What is really cool is borrowing their computer scanner to read and clear the car codes. Much nicer than the consumer ODBI reader I have. This is also the only close auto parts store in the area.

O'Reilly has done two great things for me this week! 1. They put the wiper blade that I just purchased on, no charge!!! 2. Today, I needed a new battery. I did not have the receipt. They patiently looked up my purchase! The battery is under warranty, and they were delighted to honor it! I highly recommend this place!

I found this store to have phenomenal customer service and support. I needed a number of different things and the team here was able to help me quickly and correctly. I was even able to return product from another O'Reilly location after learning the advice I received there was wrong. I will be coming back here in the future. Great prices and knowledgeable staff. Went to return a $9 quart of synthetic oil I ended up not needing at 8:00 a.m. on a weekday and was waited on by the manager who instantly was not friendly. I walked in and was the only customer in the store. He was behind the counter just standing there doing nothing and i said good morning to him as I walked over the counter and barely got a rude mumbled good morning back from him. Then told him I had something to return and he did the long very loud nasal exhale like I asked him to do something completely unreasonable. It was instantly obvious he didn't want to help me and even more obvious he did not want to return what I had. Then he looked at my receipt and saw I paid cash and said "if he could" kinda underneath his breath. I was about to say what does that mean "if you can ?!?" but he opened the drawer and very quickly fingered through the 5's that they had a bunch of (at least $40 or $50) then through the 1's that he again had a bunch of. Then after quickly shutting the drawer he said very begrudgingly that he could do the return. They weren't open for very long that morning and it couldn't have been so busy that they ran out of cash after being open for just an hour or 2. He just didn't want to or feel like returning my oil and knew he messed up by opening the drawer too much so I could see how much money was in it and had to then. I was in there a few days later and said something to a different employee about the manager not wanting to do my return and how he tried or kinda tried to get out of doing it. He wasn't surprised and said that manager doesn't like to do returns and has said the same things to other customers before me but with success. The kid also said he has told a couple of other employees to not do returns or try to get out of them. I love o'reilly's, go there often but mostly to the one in Hopkins on shady oak but have also been to numerous others(mpls, Richfield, Bloomington, ep, hopkins-excelsior blvd) and have always had great experiences with nothing but helpful sometimes more than helpful employees that really know their stuff. This happened to me a couple months ago and hopefully this a hole lazy manager is gone by now. If you work in retail especially somewhere like o'reilly's that has a return policy then you should expect there's going to be returns and as long as what's returned adheirs to that policy grown up, do your job and honor it! Quit being lazy and encouraging your employees to act just as ridiculous!!!

I've never written a review in my life... good or bad. I told my friends about my experience and they definitely said I need to say something so here it is. I stopped in here on Tuesday to buy an air filter and MAF sensor cleaner, didn't get any greeting. I proceed to look through the book to find my own air cleaner. 5 minutes go by and still nothing. I go to the counter to check out, turns out I had the wrong air filter and he helped get the right one but not very friendly what so ever. I then return on Friday to use the code reader. Typically from where I'm from, the guy comes out, reads it for me, prints it out, and tells me how I can fix my car... This gentleman asked for my Drivers license as collateral and then gives me the reader. I had to go outside and figure out my codes myself. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend the staff at this location. If you know what your looking for and do not need help that's fine but if your in need of some advice I wouldn't go here.

Small store, rather crowded. Usually have to wait to get help. But they will install replacement windshield washer blades and they usually have what we need for small car repairs

Lots of parts for any car, friendly staff and very knowledgeable, they collect used oil if you change your oil yourself. Very good prices
