Very clean scrap yard / parking lot kept clean away from anything that will pop your tires like other scrap yards are notorious for doing / best price for scrap metal and copper in the Minnesota by far / very nice people that work there worth the travel to north mpls which is hard for lots to do especially in this time of age / very easy to get money or check for company / don't waste your time at any other scrap yard you will thank yourself at K & K metal and your pockets will to

I am a handicap lady that took me to have someone load my recycles, and nobody at this facility would help me take it out of the car, very poor customer service, very poor service period to treat somebody with a disability like that, it's completely unacceptable
Most honest scrap yard in town. Friendly & helpful staff have helped me learn the proper way to sort materials. I think they only accept non-ferrous metals here, I usually only bring aluminum (no cans). Thank you K & K!
Great spot, I was given a reasonable amount of money for the approx 70 pounds I had to recycle. Very clean place and was run efficiently. Was much better than one of the other recycling companies I had been to nearby previously which basically told me they would take my metal but not give me anything
I normally like this place a lot I don't really pay attention to the numbers or the weights because I'm generally satisfied with the end all but the last couple times that It was spos to .. some people pay attention to your stuff
I've seen my share of scrap yards throughout the upper midwest. I've recycled tons of various non ferrous metals & copper & aluminum wire. Competitive pricing knowledgeable staff & good equipment. My only wish is if there were more locations.
Total rip off on weight! BEWARE! I always thought this place was great but not anymore! For the first time I decided to pre-weigh my metals and see how close they were on weight to what I had, and boy was I dissatisfied to to learn how far off my weight was from what I was paid for!!! My weight was 226 lbs and their total weight was 182! That’s 44lbs difference in weight! Nearly 20% of my weight I was not paid for. It wasn’t garbage either I’m talking bright read copper tube, clean yellow brass and #1 wire. I’m guessing close to 100+ dollars shorted! Won’t be coming back here!

Policy about having ID everytime has changed, no longer can they just look you up or go off remembering you. Need ID everytime. Slightly inconvenient, but this is only because the city is "cracking down" though, they dont have a choice in the matter if they wanna keep the doors open..So my rating stands at 5 stars
If you’re coming here as a truck driver with a 53’ trailer, it is extremely tight. You have to back in from the street, and with the way the gate/walls are situated relative to the docks, it is mostly blind on both sides. Take your time and come in at a shallow angle and you’ll get it. Once on the dock, everyone is super friendly and the unloading is very fast. Also double check your routings coming in and out, there are a lot of low clearance overpasses in the area.
I've been out to this facility several times now. Hands down, K & K Metal Recycling, is the cleanest facility of its kind. The scale operators are always smiling, friendly, and helpful. Today, we were fortunate to have Mark and Micheal assist us with our haul. Both gentlemen worked quickly and efficiently loading and unloading our carts, all the while answering any questions we had with a smile. Great team, great facility, and honest pricing!
I would not recommend this place. Find a place that won't cheat you. I brought a converter and they said $20 I went to scrappys across the street and they paid me $1200 for it. This place also rounds down your payout. I also brought a bunch of other stuff and it was not on the receipt or got bought as lower grade material. Beware! I did notify management and they could care less.
Horrible customer service and they rip you off on weight and prices. The place directly across the street has indoor drive in unloading and does not try to round down the change on your check.
I would definitely not recommend this business.
I saw many reviews say they had items missing off their receipt and I know of over a dozen others with similar stories. This place scams on converter prices and will pay you hundreds and hundreds of dollars less. Go across the street if you want legit prices.
Lastly this place takes for ever to process your metal (probably putting in manual weights) even metro metals is speedier.

Easy to work with. Guys were great! Handled everything we brought in, including 24' long sections of pipe. Prices are good now so take advantage of the availability and service at K&K!
I've been doing business with Kirshbaum Krupp recycling for about 30 plus years and always had a good experience, until as of late I've had several unsatisfactory experiences leading up to today.. today by far was the absolute worst customer service I've experienced in any company, ever!! I got nothing about complaints and was verbalaly repermanded the whole time I was there..I wasn't appreciated in the least amount.. what a bummer to see a great company go to nothing because of its employees and manager. The guy that weighed my scrap was a middle aged Mexican man that I couldn't understand due to his lack of English so I went to the manager and he couldn't of cared less. Go somewhere else to conduct business as I will no longer be going to K&K They don't want to meddle so go somewhere else And Conduct you business with other companies that want your business . Sad, so many years and I've done alot of business with them TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Brought in approximately 35-40 lbs. of bare bright copper got paid for 14 lbs. Also have 3-5 lbs. Of insulated wire that was not even on the receipt. The only portion of the receipt that was accurate was the portion that measured the copper pipe. I didn't notice until I got home and reviewed the receipt. Every other time I thought I was being properly compensated so I never considered that this place would be dishonest, I literally drove miles out of my way because I liked and thought I could trust the place. I guess I will have to find a new recycling partner.
Went there with my dude last Tuesday. The two dudes who worked there (both Latino) were extremely rude. Yelled at us for getting there “late?” They close at 4:15 and we arrived just before 4. If you don’t want customers at 4 close at that time. But certainly don’t yell at me!!! Wow!! Seemed like they were in such a rush that they intentionally didn’t price things out right and I came out with less than I should have gotten. Did not notice this until i had left because I was being so mindful of them needing to leave. Jerks. Won’t be back. Won’t recommend since apparently they don’t need or

These are the nicest guys ever. Very quick to bring a bin and quick to get it on the scale. Gotta love "cleaning up the shop and yard" and walking away with a handful of cash. I personally would choose here over any other place in the T.C. area.
Visited multiple times in 2019 and was always treated very well by both the scale staff, and the administration staff... which is rare for a scrap yard. The location is great, the property is clean and easy to navigate and load and unload vehicles. Only positive feedback from this scrapper. WORD TO THE WISE: GO HERE INSTEAD OF Metro Metals Recycling! They TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIER LOYAL CUSTOMERS AND GET AWAY WITH THEFT ON A DAILY BASIS.
They only wanted to pay me $14 for my catalytic converter. Told me it was an aftermarket catalytic converter which it was not. horrible. I also weigh my stuff before I bring it in and on their scales, it always weighs 10-15 pounds less
I just bring in batteries I see abandoned, aluminium cans, etc just for an extra few bucks once in a while and I think all the employees are great and very courteous and helpful. Also knowledgeable regarding informing me of what I can bring in to them. I get a fair price for what I bring in.
Arturo (believe that was his name) was very helpful and friendly. I do wish the person I spoke to yesterday to gather info would have told me that they do not buy steel (that was 80% of my metal) as I wouldn't have bothered to bring it with. A much better experience than RSI in Maple Grove- I will be back.
I have been recycling copper, brass, aluminum and stainless steel here for years. The employees have always been good to me and have always been fair. The scales seem to be very accurate and the employees very quick to get the job done and me on my way.
I have been using this place for my Alum borings ( chips or turnings ) for a long time. Sometimes I bring in cans, solid alum and carbide. Always a clean place and decent price. Been going here for 30 years. Always treated well and got a fair price for my recycling goods.
I had brought in a bunch of cans and stripped copper wire and was very pleased with the price and help I got from the employees. They are very competitive and fair on the payout and gave me some advice on what I could do to get more cash from my scrap next time. That surprised me to get that kinda information.
