In 2007, “Auto Star Inc.” has first opened its doors to the public. We started small, and we started here in Maple Grove. Thanks to our loyal customers we were able to develop in a productive and proactive part of this community. In the spring of 2009 we moved to our current location in Maple Grove. In the same year we added a full service Automotive Repair Facility. With this addition we are able to provide high quality service repairs at very competitive rates.

I've had nothing but positive experiences working with Dave and Vitali at AutoStar. Besides being friendly and enjoyable to chat with, they and their team do great work in a timely fashion for a very reasonable price. They're easy to reach by phone and respond quickly to any questions. In addition to good mechanical and body work, I bought a salvage car two years ago that they vouched for. It's been a great car, no issues and I always return for general maintenance. 5 stars.
This is by far the best mechanic I have found in the area. It's so reassuring to feel like you have an honest and knowledgeable car expert on your side. They did a fantastic job fixing a car door for me and worked with my insurance to make sure everything was covered. They went above and beyond to help me out when a tarp got stuck under my car, and are always easy to reach and quick to respond. So glad to have found "my car guys"!
I waited for a month as I have a poor history of buying used cars from small lots like this. The fact is my car runs great and I have confidence that it will since it came with a 6 month warranty. As a busy single Dad my time is limited. When searching for a car I found one at Auto Start, but sat on it for a week as it is 2 hours from where I live. I eventually called in a favor and had my mother go look at it and test drive it. The car was in great shape and ran extremely well. The issue was it had no hitch to tow (Something I neglected to notice.) With that seen my mom was ready to walk away. The owner as what she didn't like so he could better understand, and when he learned it was a hitch he said they could install one and include it in financing. After my mother told me this I was sold, and I was going to go up the next day. The owner knowing how limited my time was, asked if my mom would be able to and willing to start the process. He worked with me remotely and my mother in person. He truly went above and beyond to earn my business. By the end of the day the sale was done, and all I needed to do was go in the next morning to complete the sale. The thing that impressed me the most was an attention to detail I missed. The rubber grommet that kept the hood bar from wiggling was worn. He pointed this out to me and had one being ordered and mailed to me. It is needless to say that I will be starting all my automotive searches here, and will tell everyone I know to as well.
Fast and Reliable Service
Recently I needed an engine replacement and they completed it in less than two days far exceeding our expectations of time efficiency. I was surprised when I heard it was done and knew that I will be coming back here in the future whenever I can. They have continued to show they are a reliable business and I appreciate their hard work.
Beware of this shady dealership! They advertise warranties included, but that’s false—there’s no valid coverage. They fail to disclose important/huge issues with their vehicles, and any work they do to make it temporarily drivable isn’t reported to Carfax, leaving buyers in the dark about the car’s history. The cars they sell are often in poor condition, requiring costly repairs soon after purchase. This place operates on shady, unethical practices—avoid at all costs!
Just recently got a transit van, and first thing I noticed was great customer service. They were able to help me in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a vehicle!

Dave is awesome. His team of experienced mechanics have been taking care of my vehicles and my IID (Ignition Interlock Device) for years now. Dave has taken the time to accommodate my slight tardiness when he could, and straight forward with me if he can’t. On task individual working for a honest company employing several local people. This shop will actually call you and inform you of updates and/or if something can’t work out as discussed.

Vitaly is awesome guy. I just stop by for Nissan Rogue. Customer service was awesome. Vitaly spent with me almost hour. he gave me all details for car where is damage and how they fixed. Also give deep details for warranty and financing. This is one of dealership who give six month warranty in salvaged car. I liked it their honesty.
Auto Star is one of the last few remaining honorably run auto sales businesses that you can go to. My wife and I purchased a salvage title Mazda CX-9 and is has been our favorite vehicle that we've owned yet. They showed before photos of the vehicle after the accident, explained what had happened and were helpful with all of our questions and concerns in buying a salvage vehicle. They rebuilt the vehicle to be indiscernible from any other vehicle that had not been in an accident. The other past positive Google reviews were accurate in leading us to a great place to buy a used vehicle by a shop with integrity. Thank you, Vitally and Dave!

About 7months ago I bought a car through Auto star and it was nothing short of the best experience ever.
Me and my husband’s second car broke down (again)
so we where just going to junk it but we thought back to Autostar where we got our previous car at.
We where curious if the owner wanted it and he said that we could do a trade in deal! (I’m sure that not just any car is available for trade in we where lucky!) we where just poking around seeing what we could get for with the trade in deal
But before we knew it we where sucked into buying another car! The owner is so friendly and accommodating it’s like buying a car from a friend. This guy has a fantastic eye for cars and getting you the best deal he can!

bought 2015 outback with good price within my budget .great condition car . It has been almost a month now since i got it . The owner is very courteous and righteous .When i was checking the car battery with my multimeter(small one) he got his own and checked it under load ;it read 12.1 amps .although he could have sold it with the same battery .he got them replaced with new one .they provide 3 free service (oil change) with the sale
This dealership sold us a white Chevy Colorado last week. The vehicle was from Texas, so you would think it would be rust free... right? Well, they didn't mention that it was obviously underwater and should have had a flood title, but it turns out they got a "bonded title" and how ever they did this, it was blatantly to get around the fact that the vehicle was in a flood and was underwater. What happened to honesty and integrity? Here are actual photos of the vehicle's frame from underneath upon inspection after purchase. I'm not being sarcastic or exaggerating about any of this, despite that this story seems embellished on.......The photos are proof, and now I'm stuck with a truck that is so rotten it cannot even be driven. We literally had NO brakes on the drive home because the frame was so bent it snapped the brake line off and we now have no brakes at all. Who ever owns this dealership should be ashamed of himself or herself, and cease doing business like this because someone is going to get hurt, or even die as a result of their actions. The frame of the vehicle was held together with napkins, packing paper, Texas license plates with self tapping fasteners (yes, you're reading this right!), Bondo!!....and then undercoated to hide the rotten frame underneath. Who ever made the decision to hide the rotted frame on this truck without properly fixing it prior to selling it should never be banned from the car business and never have access to making decisions regarding anything automotive ever again. No wonder why this business still has the stigma it does!!! Thanks guys! Real professional;)
This was the best car buying experience that I have had!
My fiance and I were looking hard and fast for a new car since the engine on my (former) car blew. Adam was incredibly helpful and willing to work with me to address concerns that I had, and to ensure I felt confident with my new purchase. Adam was very timely in his responses and flexible throughout it all.
Adam was very friendly and personable. The office space was tidy and the vehicles looked very well cared for.
There are also many benefits purchasing through Auto Star Inc., all through their own full-service shop. The fact that my (used) vehicle came with a limited warranty is super reassuring and they even offered to show me old parts that they replaced in the vehicle.
My fiance is already considering purchasing a vehicle through Auto Star Inc., as we were very pleased with our buying experience. Highly recommend!
