I got a flat. The gentleman working the desk was polite and got me in right away. The service was quick and excellent and they were constantly communicating with me. Excellent!

You've done it again!!! I picked my car up at 7:30 PM and felt guilty I was coming so late. Jake was soooo nice and helpful. Really engaging and personable. He even lubricated my fuel door hinge after I made a passing comment about it sticking

I brought my car in while on a road trip with a suspected inverter pump issue. I had already replaced the burnt amp fuse and driven the car in. I informed the shop of my findings, specifically mentioning the distinct chlorinated, electrical burning odor coming directly from the inverter pump assembly, which is a strong diagnostic indicator of internal failure. The service employee was very polite and helpful throughout the entire process, but the company's policies are concerning. My 2-star rating is based purely on the shop's policies regarding pricing, transparency, and parts/fluids: 1. Extreme Part Price Gouging The shop initially quoted over $1,500 for the repair using aftermarket parts. When I asked about using OEM parts, the quote rose to approximately $1,600. I was told I had to purchase all parts through them for liability reasons. I immediately checked my own pricing and found a shocking markup: Toyota OEM Inverter Pump: $270 Toyota OEM Coolant (SLLC): $30 Shop's Aftermarket Part/Fluid Cost (Estimated): $600+ The shop was attempting to charge more than double the price of brand-new OEM parts for inferior aftermarket components. When I raised this issue, the polite employee immediately dropped the quote from $1,600 to $1,100 and agreed to price-match to a cheaper aftermarket source. While I appreciate their willingness to negotiate, the initial quote was clearly an attempt at massive overcharging. 2. Questionable Fluids—A Major Risk to Hybrid Systems The company's standard coolant practice is highly alarming. The initial repair plan involved replacing the coolant with their generic "Mystery" Coolant, which they confirmed they use for "every vehicle." I had to specifically ask for the correct Toyota Super Long Life Coolant (SLLC) or a designated aftermarket coolant for this make/system. Even then, the employee indicated they would still flush the system with their inappropriate generic coolant before adding the OEM fluid. This process is unacceptable for a sensitive hybrid cooling system, as it risks leaving residual, non-compatible fluid behind and contaminating the new, expensive OEM coolant which the mixture could potentially sludge and cause more issues. Had I not intervened, they would have used the inappropriate fluid. This lack of fluid-specific knowledge poses a severe risk to uninformed customers. 3. Unclear Diagnostic Fee Policy The final surprise was the $200 USD diagnostic fee. I questioned the need for a full hour of electrical diagnosis when I had delivered the car with the precise fault area already identified (the chlorinated/burning smell from the inverter pump). When I declined the service, I was sxpected to still pay the $200. After discussing issues and insisting that I was not told the price of the diagnostic, employee understood my frustration and reduced the fee to $100 (30 minutes of labor), which was a fair resolution to the fee issue. Conclusion: I ended up declining the repair, ordering the correct OEM parts, and fixing the car myself after buying tools which I regretfully did not bring with me. I saved time, money, and future issues with my car. While the individual employee offered excellent, kind service and helped me find a fair resolution, the shop's underlying business is poor. If you are comfortable paying double the cost of OEM parts for aftermarket ones, and risking damage from generic fluids, this shop might work for you. For anyone looking for fair pricing and proper adherence to manufacturer specifications, I would advise extreme caution and encourage you to cross-reference their prices.

Jimmy in client service was amazing. They provided quick, efficient and professional repair service when I was in a bind. Bobby and Steve’s is a gem of a place for MSP.

Every time I work with Bobby and Steve’s it’s an easy experience. I typically dreaded going to the mechanic like I dread going to the dentist, but that hasn’t been the case here. If you want good customer service and a mechanic who will solve your problems, go here.

When our vehicle broke down, AAA arranged a tow to Bobby & Steve's Auto World about 6:00 p.m. Staff texted at 6:20 a.m. that they would do diagnostics and inform us soon. About 9:15 a diagnosis was received. Repair began and was finished by 11:30(estimated time had been 4 hours). We were able to pay the bill and collect our auto and be on our way to SW MN. The vehicle is running very well. We appreciate the prompt attention to our needs.

Zero ⭐ for Cashier Andrea I visit this location often, but the cashier Andrea is consistently rude. Today she said, “What do you need?” instead of “How can I help you?” When I called for a manager, she refused to tell me who it was. Very poor customer service.

These folks have been taking care of me and my family for years. First couple times they found low cost solutions I was surprised- Now I’m used to it and love it- couple days ago I thought my power steering was cooked. They smiled and told me it was just an s belt, when they could’ve just replaced the whole thing?? Honest people good work lucky customers!

Chris at Bobby and Steve's was great. I had a mechanical issue on the way from Rochester to Fargo. We were making the trek so my daughter could start her freshman year at NDSU. The trouble started at 4pm on Friday, we where stranded on 494. Couple hours later we got towed to Bobby and Steve's. Chris was able to diagnose the trouble and his techs made the repair in less than 24hrs. They had us back on the road so we could get my daughter to college. 10 outta 10.

More than just a gas station... Bobby and Steve's has it all ‼ Yes, they work on your car here, do oil changes tire and battery, they have a towing service. Service. Inside they have a convenience store along with pre-made sandwiches and salads, coffee soda pop ice cream. About anything you could want, they have a deli counter. They make pizzas, and other food to order and have some food already made and ready to eat, but served hot. They've got a fantastic car wash, and the pricing on their car wash is very reasonable for the quality.

I came in with a punctured tire at 7:00 on a Friday night. We were traveling through Minneapolis on our way to WI from IA. Joe and his team had our tire patched and us back on the road in a little over a half hour. Terrific service at a very reasonable price!

You guys are fabulous! The night my car broke down you were open until 9pm on a Friday night and you said the car can be towed in and the mechanic will diagnose it in the morning. I received a call right away Saturday morning and you had it repaired before noon! I can’t thank you guys enough.

Had a nice experience at this shop attending to my brakes issue. I booked my appointment online and was received and my issues were resolved. The problems were traced to my rotors. Got the fronting rotors and brakes replaced and my brakes fluid flushed and I got $50 off the total. Nice customer service and the agent that handled my business was very knowledgeable about the issue and also very courteous. I be back again.

We stopped going to Bobby and Steve’s after we spent a load of money for fixing our Subaru and they misdiagnosed and ended up telling us after all that we had a broken head gasket. Had to go back for the catalytic converter that broke after 4 years put in by them. It was under warranty and they fixed it and some other issues. We were happy with that.don’t know if we will go back but they did a great job with our element

I am a bit torn here on my rating. I was traveling thru Bloomington when my brake lines sprung a leak, rendering my truck essentially without brakes. They were able to look at my truck on short notice on a Friday late afternoon. Chris had a tech inspect it that evening and called me just before closing with an estimate of repair of $2500, to include replacing brake lines to both front wheels, both calipers, and front right rotor and pads, with no promise that this job would be completed the next day. This seemed extravagantly overpriced, but they had me over a barrel. I agreed to the quote so that they could begin work on it the next day. I asked if they couldn't just replace the lines and delete the calipers , rotor and pads, but they wouldn't because of "liability" reasons. The job was completed the next afternoon without issue and even came in $175 under quote. Now I am greatly appreciative that they took on the inspection on Friday and repairs Saturday as I was able to get back on the highway without much downtime. I do not appreciate the labor and materials price gouging. Perhaps I am just used to a simpler, less expensive life living in the country. Chris, the apparent shop manager was straightforward and honest with me, which I tremendously respect. But I do not appreciate the corporate price gouging.

Bobby and Steve’s saved my day last week. I got a flat tire and they were able to get 4 new tires on my car within an hour and a half. They even put my groceries in a refrigerator so they wouldn’t spoil! I’d highly recommend these guys for great service

We recently switched to Bobby and Steve's for our fleet vehicle maintenance. Just had our first van worked on here and I can't say enough good things about them. Our fleet rep was on top of things handled the request, when my tech dropped the van off there was zero questions as to why we were there. The van was fixed and dropped off within 4 hours of dropping off. And our rep even called to see if everything was done correctly and the experience had been what I had expected. Top notch shop!

Service was good. Only odd thing was I have a different floormatt then when I dropped it off. It’s used so I wonder if they put someone else’s in my car.

On Memorial Day I needed to make an emergency trip out of town to care for my ailing grandmother. Unfortunately, one of my tires had a slow leak. I was able to schedule a last minute appointment and they took care of the issue quickly and completely. I highly recommend their services!

I stopped in because it looked like I had a flat tire. Chris helped me right away and noticed a nail in the front passenger tire. He filled it with air so I could get to an important appointment. I came back after the appointment and Chris got me in for the repair right away. I am really grateful for his help and professional courtesy. Thank you, Chris!!

My oil change took an hour and a half after being told it would take 45 minutes to an hour. I had another place I needed to be, so the lack of communication from your staff made that impossible. I am disappointed. This is the fourth vehicle I have brought to Bobby and Steve's for work and have been happy in the past, but I doubt I will be back.

This place is honest and so nice. I had a nail in my tire, from out of town, and had very few good options. They fixed me up the best they could and provided very helpful and honest advice. These guys are genuine and trustworthy.

It's a damn shame that Lisa and Katie no longer work here. Those were the only two good cashiers. The other cashiers have no personality or good customer service skills. I will be taking my business elsewhere the majority of the time now. Hopefully this location will eventually turn it around.

I took my 2002 Civic for an oil change three weeks ago, and not only did they they change the oil but also replaced my broken battery terminal connector that I tapped it with a duck tape. The technicians were very kind and gracious. I definitely do business with them in the future. Thank you very kindly!

This is my first time taking my SUV to Bobby and I am glad I did because I have gotten a quote from Firestone here in Edina with a crazy amount so I told myself that it’s best for me to get a second opinion and I am glad I was did. Jimmy, was honest and was willing to help me out and for that I am grateful. They send me a pictures of my car and what they were doing which is a first for me and I am happy I chose them. I will definitely recommend them and I will be going there moving forward. Thanks Jimmy for all your help.

In subzero weather and a snowstorm the wiper assembly on my SUV broke in half on 494. I pulled over and called the dealership about 5 miles away and service said they couldn’t guarantee they had the right parts. Bobby & Steve’s was closer. Justin assured me they could fix it very quickly. Check-in was fast. The service lounge was a great place to bring a hot lunch from the deli. My daughter and I were on the way with two new wipers for $29, installed, in 20 minutes. Cannot thank you enough.
