Gaines has changed management since the previous review. The yard was not very organized yet, but it was cleaner than other junkyards I have been in. The real selling point of Gaines Auto Salvage is all the classic cars and trucks. We were on the lookout for Studebakers and found about a dozen at Gaines. Their prices were fair and, above all, the owner was very eager to help us find the parts we were looking for. If you are looking for rare used parts for that restoration project, give Gaines a try!
the service was horrible.
called ahead to have 2 tires ready for me, when i got there, i had to wait 30 mins to get the tires, then come to find out one of them has a nail in it (knowing this) they STILL tried putting the tire on. after finding a new tire, got them on, and a short 4 days later the side of the tire blows out.......
i do not recommend going to these guys, not even if it was your last choice....AVOID THIS PLACE
