Big sign that says ring bell for service. Make sure you ring the bell. I was helped by Jesus Martinez he is extremely helpful and very professional. Once everything is weighed, they give you a ticket to get your money out of the ATM machine.

dont bring your circuit boards there. I've been there many time and every time I bring boards in it's never the same as what is considered high grade. the last time I was there they gave high grade or china for all the tv boards I had now this time they gave me only low grade for the same boards. and when i ask what the difference is they won't tell me. that's the difference between 25c a pound and 50c a pound. so I dont think they have compatint people working the scale. I think I'm going to start taking my boards elsewhere where they don't have kids working that don't know difference in grades or can at least tell me how they are grading them. plus they just guess what your bins weight is without actually weighing it afterwards. so if you do go there watch that as well. a plastic bin does not weight 10 pounds .
Was a simple and easy process, but when you get your money you have to scan your receipt at thier ATM to get paid. But they charge you an ATM fee to get your money and you don't no this until afterwards. That's kind of shady if you ask me.
I was cleaning out and had a lot of aluminum I needed to get rid of. I usually go somewhere else. I got to the place.i usually go to and they were closed. I did not want to unpack my car and try another time. Google showed this as the nearest place. I like to go where I know where I should be and how it works, but I needed to get rid of my scrap. I pulled in and was greeted by helpful friendly staff. It was easy peasy! And the cherry on top is they paid 20% more than the place I was going to go to first. That meant an extra $50 in my pocket!

My wife dropped some scrap off. Their was no sign saying where she could and could not park. When she parked, a crabby old man yelled at her and told her she couldn't park where she did. The people inside were nice and told her not to worry about him, and told her she was fine where she parked. She sold her scrap and came back out and the same old guy started yelling and swearing at her, parked the forklift in the way making it difficult for her to leave and threatened to call the police on her.
This is NO way to treat your customers!
Never been to JR’s before, I brought with me a variety of recycling to cash in on, the yard staff , totally helpful, almost like they knew me, treated with kindness and respect , I emailed a few time and got instant responces, if u do anything sort your scrap the best you can the process will go faster , I took about an hour from unloading to leaving, I had lots of stuff , next time I’m ready to scrap it will be with JR’s ! 3 hrs drive 192 miles totally worth the haul, walked out with cash in hand , can’t say anything bad my experience was awesome , thank Joey and the rest of the boys in the yard , I appreciate the work you guys do!
Okay... when you drive in, drive passed the scale, park on the right and they will come out with a fork lift if you have something to sell. There just saved you time. They were nice and paid on the spot for my scrap. Best scrap place I've been and I used to go to concord st which was terrible.

I live in Lakeville and there is about a handful of closer places for me to go. But I will always go to JRs. The staff is awesome. Lady at front desk handing receipts awesome, the guy running the small scale super good at what he does and very honest. There was an older gentleman who helped me out today in a forklift. I left some batteries in a few grills I dumped. He explained to me why I needed to remove them and removed them for me. BATTERIES BIG OR SMALL remove them! The 3 times I’ve been there I have had zero complaints. Give them your business. You won’t be disappointed.
I went to J.R.'S today. It was a great visit. I got rid of a bunch of stuff that had been collecting in my garage and walked away with $40. They are very busy, so try to stay out of the way. They will help if you ask.

After my Dad unexpectedly passed away my brother and I brought his beer/soda can collection from the last 3 years in to help fund his funeral.
I had never been to a recycling center, and the systems were perfect. I did exactly what they said to do, and when they said to do it. We emptied the cans into their container, they weighted them, and gave me a receipt to bring inside to get the payment. I was given the option of cash or check, and I chose check. We deposited it, and used it for a down payment on the funeral.
6 business days later the check was revoked from the checking account, and we were sent a new one for less than a 1/3 of the original one because apparently they struggle to weigh aluminum at a recycling center and there was an error. Still unsure of how they were able to reweigh the cans so many days later.

This recycling operation is awesome! I parted out my old air conditioner condenser unit, called JR’s Advanced Recycling to make sure they would take the metal and parts from the condenser. All staff was very friendly and helpful. The weigh in process was very fast and the weights they took matched my weights. The amounts paid for each type of material was what was advertised on their very excellent website. I was in and out with money in hand within 20 minutes. This was my first visit and I will come back when I have further recycling needs.
Very friendly and helpful staff, plus they have Saturday hours. I like that they have an on hand ATM if you want the cash via a simple receipt/barcode scan system to use the atm by the cashier. Their forklift yard staff are very prompt and help get you unloaded asap.
I scrapped a few old transmissions and other old various car parts. No fluids and you are good to go. They have the fairest prices around. Definitely would recommend and go again in the future. Thank you for all your help.
They print you a ticket and you cash out at the ATM they have in the hall.
I work for a local automotive business and have been bringing recycling here for the past 7 years or so. The staff here are always very helpful, Joe in particular. This business appreciates their customers, they occasionally have donuts, taco stands and they give out tins of cookies at Christmas.
Had an older gentleman working here that came out and was very rude towards us throwing our copper wire into a bin. I've been here several times and instances like these make you not want to come back. He should be happy we're bringing him the business.
The person (?female) at the front who give the receipt to the customer, is very snarly and has very poor social skills. The service person (?male?) Just inside the large garage door where customer rings bell is very keen and helpful. He has the understanding that people may not have been there and dont have direction how to proceed through the process of services there. The service person by the big door needs some recognition for his outstanding knowledge and efficacy. It is to be noted that the other people working on site -inclluding the excavator operators and dump truck drivers all participated in above average behavior guiding along the way through as well. I give the site )*****(. Five stars and the front desk clerk (*) one star. My apologies for the )**( two star rating but it was her that screwed the pooch. We will be back to do business.

Been going there for years, nice helpful guys and gals. Very competitive prices for scrap. Convenient location for me. Can't do better unless you drive to mpls. or st. Paul. Highly recommend, especially now, scrap prices are very high right now.
Best scrapyard/recycling center I've ever been to. I've been there several times and I'm always treated with a great deal of respect and in a timely manner. Staff is always helpful. Fair prices are always paid for scrap metal. It is worth noting that they don't accept appliances without disassembly into component pieces, and anything with an engine needs to be drained of oil and gas. Just a heads up, but those things seem reasonable to me. Long story short, it's the only place I go to. Would give more stars if possible.

Web prices were accurate, easy crew to work with. Dropped off 1600+ lbs of mostly non-ferrous in 20 categories (boxed and sorted) from 1lb to 496lbs and was done and paid in under 20 minutes. I travel through three states on a weekly basis so can drop my scrap anywhere the price and service is right if the cost of extra fuel is covered to haul it. In this case it was more than worth it for the price difference of other yards. I've scrapped items from OH to MN and know the weight of what I'm hauling before I show up to within a few pounds. The weights here were spot on, so between that and the good prices, would recommend to anyone.
This place is very easy to access and the prices are the best around. Employees are very helpful and friendly. Service is quick and fast. It’s easy to get in, unloaded, paid, and get back out of, quickly. We have had great experiences at JRs Advanced Recyclers.
I have been only hauling in there for only 5 weeks. They stride on getting you in and out in a timely manner. I will continue to go there as they have the best price for scrap. The office people are very pleasant to talk to and always ask what you brought in.
Always receive excellent customer service,from helping with unloading and sorting, to friendly, fair and quick payment. Parking may be a little tight during peak hours but the yard is organized and clean. I never have to worry about running over debris and getting a flat as is the case at many other scrap yards.
Excellent experience each time, no matter the amount of scrap material. My first visit there, the owner and staff took their time to explain the entire process. My next several visits were a breeze. Very fair payout ( even gave me money for old chain link fence, other yards would just let you drop it off) and had my check immediately.
Dropped off ballasts for a relative whose garage we were helping clean out. Joe and his co-worker were quick, efficient and oh so kind. As was the woman who processed my payment in the office. A great experience from start to finish. Another small family business I am delighted to review.
I don't understand the negative reviews of this place, as I couldn't have asked for a better experience here. Having never been here before, the staff was very helpful and accommodating to a clueless newbie. I brought in a trailer full of scrap, and not only did the staff direct me to the proper dropoff location, they immediately unloaded everything (including 2 engine blocks) right on the spot. The payout process was easy-peasy, and I was taken aback by the lack of bulletproof glass (unlike other scrapyards I've been to in the past.) The entire staff was courteous and professional, from the guys unloading my trailer, to the guys in the front office.
Overall, it was a great experience. The next time I amass a trailerfull of scrap metal, I will definitely return.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCUMBAGS!! You have been warned. These scrap donkeys will try to screw you when you get there, no matter what they tell you on the phone. They had the worst reviews but paid the highest by a few cents. I thought i would try my luck.. ha! Should have listened to the reviews. Wasted trip as i went somewhere else. Had to give one star... they deserve -5
