Towed my car from right in front of my house, at a dead end stretch of road leading to nowhere else except my house. $340 to get my car back. $40/day extra if you don't go get it right away. These people are predators. Not only that, they only accept cash... Which leads me to believe there may be some tax scheming going on here as well.
I strongly advise against using the services of this company, as they are highly unsatisfactory and can cause significant damage to your vehicle. My car was towed from a friend’s parking lot for being parked in a visitor spot. When I contacted them on a Saturday night to inquire about my vehicle’s whereabouts, they informed me that they were only open the following morning. I then called to obtain the schedule and location of the tow yard, only to find out they operate solely on Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM.
On March 1, I went to retrieve my vehicle at approximately 12:30 PM. I suspect they target low-income areas with their operations, as indicated by their tow trucks. Upon entering the building, I encountered a small walk-up window staffed by an unfriendly and rude woman who questioned me about my car’s location and the reason for the $375 fee, simply stating, “it just is.” I provided all the money I had available, and she instructed me to go outside to collect my vehicle after verifying my title and ID.
While entering the private entrance to retrieve my vehicle, I began taking pictures of the signage. The woman instructed me to proceed to my car, to which I responded inappropriately. Upon reaching my vehicle, I discovered damage, as evidenced by the attached photos. When I attempted to leave, the woman refused to open the gate, prompting me to call the police. The police informed me they were already en route, as the woman had called them due to my tone and her refusal to allow me to leave, unlawfully detaining me behind a gate for over 20 minutes. She also prevented others from retrieving their vehicles during this time.
I intend to pursue legal action against this tow company and the apartment building from which my car was towed for false imprisonment and damages to my vehicle.

My car was towed from my apartment complex and I was charged over $600 to get it back, which feels excessive. When I asked for a breakdown of the charges, I was told to pay only cash first and then I’d be shown the invoice, which is completely unprofessional.
When I asked if there was any room to negotiate, I was told I could pay $210 and they would just keep the car if I couldn’t afford it. I was also charged $100 for mailing fees, yet I never received anything in the mail. I understand I parked in the wrong spot, but the way this was handled felt unfair and predatory. 1 star is a lot for you yall deserve 0 stars
Very rude woman working on Saturday morning! Very disrespectful to the customers. You can tell she hates her job and people. Stay far away from this place if you know what's good for you! Also they charge you over 400+ dollars for one day after towing your car. This type of shady business practices should not be allowed by law. Wondering how these owners sleep at night..
My car keys got stolen at my apartment today and I contacted Mercedes dealership which connected me with their roadside. The guy was very nice and also gave me a ride to the dealership.
Waited around for a tow for 4 hours from another company before finally calling my insurance company and they got Froviks Towing out in 20 minutes. Tow truck driver was supposed to get off and he towed my vehicle on OT. Super fast, super friendly, and if I ever need to be towed again it will be this company.
I was broke down in my company van on 694. I called Frovik and had to go through an AI chatbot. I finally got to a live person and they quoted $489 for a 3.5 mile tow. This was double what the AI quoted me. Plus it was up to an hour wait. I called City Wide a live person answered and had a tow truck to me in less than 20 minutes and they only charged $177.
My car was towed from my apartment by this company and was damaged during the tow I have pictures of the damage at the lot and pictures of Debri I found in the spot they towed me from! You can see through my trunk because of the damage they caused to my bumper! They still haven’t reached out saying how they are willing to pay to fix this any insurance information or anything!
They stole my car and didn’t even inform me, it’s very bad agency, apartments who work with this agency please don’t get into the lease with this company who do business with them.
Great service. Was stuck on the hwy in some snow. Tower was there for maybe 3min and safely pulled my vehicle out. Lengthy wait but it was during a winter storm and they did reach out to me a couple times just to check in with updated eta. Thank you to the gentleman who took care of me !
There is enough work during a MN snowstorm to decline to pick up a driver and his out-of-commission car instead of picking him up under the pretense that you will drive him home after dropping the car off at the auto shop. Instead, you gave him an "Oh, by the way. We lied. We can't drive you home." Who leaves a 68 year old, with a recently replaced knee, out in a snowstorm, in a semi-rural area, to walk to the nearest gas station? Did you NOT drive right near the gas station to get back to the intersection to go where you needed to go? You could NOT get him 3 blocks closer?
This place is obviously a scam they charged me 375 to get my car back after taking it in the morning same day, i work overnights and when trying to park after coming from work, my apartment had no parking in the areas that were not getting towed for snow removal , i parked on the edge of the parking structure came out in the morning and my car was gone. Let me list the charges out for you 299 for towing fees which is insane, 40 dollars for 1 day storage, 100 dollar impound fee which is important to state Minnesota laws don’t clearly authorize private tows to add:
• “Impoundment fee”
• “Administration fee”
• “Convenience fee”
I will be contacting my attorney and challenge some of these fees but do not use this place they are predatory.
This company stole my vehicle from my parking lot sometime in the middle of the night. I was not given notice and had to track down my stolen car on my own. The old bag who was behind the wall charged me nearly $400 after I was done convincing her that my proof of ownership of my stolen car was inside the stolen car in her lot.
This is a shady company that snoops around lots in the middle of the night just so they can bleed money out of people.
Ry was very friendly and professional. When he towed car he was very careful in loading and unloading my car when towing it. I would recommend this towing company any day!
I would like to give thank you to the lady who was working the counter today, she worked with me and didn’t have too and I really do appreciate it. She was friendly and kind, and patient.
We were very pleased with this service! We blew out a tire on a busy freeway. Our driver (Gabe) was fast, efficient, knowledgeable and safety conscious. We would definitely refer them!
We had a very difficult time getting my F150 out of gear so it could be towed properly. The driver (Ry) was extremely knowledgeable, professional and patient. Would definitely use their services again.
My car was towed. Regardless of whether my vehicle should have been towed or not, the woman on the phone was incredibly rude and lacked empathy nor help. I called to confirm whether my car was there or not, and she informed me it was, said I needed to come with $375 cash and a valid drivers license. Failed to mention that I needed proof of ownership, or the title. There was then a $40 fee for needing to wait another day. When I called asking who I should speak to regarding disputing the fee and lack of signage, she hung up on me mid conversation, and did not answer the phone again when I called back. Incredibly unprofessional, when I was already in a distressing position.
I was just involved in an accident this morning and was lucky enough to have Robbie tow my vehicle for me. Not only did he show up quickly, he gave me a ride to the repair shop and was extremely kind, professional, and patient while I was working to figure things out with my insurance company. His kindness made a huge difference during a stressful situation and I’m so grateful for his help. Thank you, Robbie!
My vehicle was left in an unsafe location which was a mixup from where it was supposed to be. The tow driver left my key fob in my vehicle and not a secure drop box making it vulnerable to theft. No attempt was made to contact me to notify me of the situation to give me the option to secure my vehicle myself. Careless service not to mention the 4 hour delay…. Not happy with this service.
Car broke down in Shoreview. My roadside assistance sent Frovik’s to the rescue. The driver (Austin) was very careful getting my car on his flatbed and explained everything he was doing. I rode with him to bring my car to my mechanic. He was very personable and did a great job and left me feeling not as stressed out as I had been. Thank you, Austin!
straight up scum company like most towing companies. they took my vehicle from my parking lot that i had been at for 1.5 years and they had been given instruction that I, in fact live there multiple times. then when you confront them they are flippant and nonchalant. Update, i had to get anoka county sherriffs to tell the front desk lady she cant keep my property because she didnt like that i didnt praise her like a god. I had all paperwork required which she never mentioned in previous calls.
This review is strictly regarding my recent experience with Gabe, not the company. I initially called in my feedback but I was encouraged to leave a Google review as well.
On Saturday (6/14) my vehicle broke down on 694 West where it connects with highway 10, a stressful and high volume traffic area. Gabe was calm, focused, and professional the entire time. He handled everything well and had a good attitude, even after a semi going full speed got a little too close. He got me and my vehicle where I needed to go without any issues and even got it parked it better than I can some days. The whole experience was better than I expected and I wanted to make sure he got credit for it.
Robby was super polite, professional and efficient when he came to pick my car up and have me ride back with him. He even showed consideration for the situation we were in (around horses) and asked if there was a way to not scare them and make THEM more comfortable. Highly recommend them for any towing needs!
Towing since i was 16 years old and still love it. We have great people that worked with us many years. Still going strong. Chris does his best with every customer.
Robbie from Froviks in Blaine MN was quick to arrive, helpful and kind and changed my tired in no time flat :). He was by far the nicest tow truck driver I have ever encountered. If I ever need assistance I will be calling him again!!
Meant to post this quite sometime ago. Robbie from Frovik’s came to the rescue when the transmission blew on the pickup. He was on time, courteous, friendly, and very helpful. Will definately use again in the future! Thanks Robbie!!
