Called ahead and had the car parts put on hold. Hermons had jokes at the retail counter computer. He was friendly and very helpful helping me find the other store for my second item. They take Apple Pay which was very helpful. Plenty of chairs where you can wait as they bring up your parts. I liked the tv with the customer waiting list on it.
I have bought several engines and transmissions from them in the past. I have never had any issues. I purchased an engine from them this past weekend and I had some issues with it. On monday am i called them right away and explained my issue to Ryan. He explained me my options and took care of my issue . I will definitely be back because they stand behind their parts and have the best prices in town. Thanks again.
Great Fast Clear experience. They were upfront and honest about everything and I was in and out even though it was a busy time. The ladies at the front are so good at what they do. Great prices. Very Happy!
I don’t appreciate that when you buy tires 🛞 here that installing them in not included and they send you to another store to pay more money to have them install I will never do business with them again because they could of told me that in the phone 📲 before I drove here
Found them on carpart, called in, asked about the parts I need, everything in stock and color matched, perfect. Told the guy on the phone i’m outa state do they take payment over phone or online he said yes as long as credit card address matched delivery address, ok cool, asked about shipping and got a freight quote. Told him I’ll call back after I check up with my customer. Got ahold of the customer that night, figured things out, gave him a timeframe when everything would be complete based on the shipping information I got from abco. Called the next day some lady picks up, told her who I am and she pulled up the quote, asked her if all the parts are still there, yes, and told her can I pay now with credit card and she told me they don’t take payments over the phone nor online, I have to come in to pay even though I’m outa state and not even in the area. Basically now I’m stuck in a tough position because their own employees don’t know their own policies. Moral of this review, this company not organized enough to sell state wide. If your in town give them a try but if you outa state or found them on car part, just skip over them. Employees don’t even know their own policies, and one doesn’t know what the other does. Very Unprofessional!
Extremely expensive, it takes them forever to grab your part, charging extra for card transactions which is fishy to make people cash. You will never find them sell a part cheaper then anywhere else because they are the most expensive in the town. I would not recommend buying from this place.

I’ve used them for many years. I’ve had many hit or miss incidents with them Smaller items like alternators, and that nature Overall, I would recommend them in terms of that category of the smaller things. It gets a little bit more interesting when it’s the bigger items like an engine or transmission in the past I have bought both in the past and it’s 50/50 if they are good. My main issue today is I bought a transmission for one of my vehicles and I explicitly told the sales person over the phone that it has to be a good one and if the vehicle was driven and verified, it was good. They said it was and if they had any issues, I could return it. That was no biggie, but I needed to have it installed at a Shop. So I bought the warranty. Today I get a phone call that the transmission was installed, but the issue was it had no forward, gears or reverse, and was far worse than the one that I already had in the vehicle, I made a claim for the Warranty and the lady on the phone was extremely rude when I said that I didn’t have my invoice number in front of me And quite literally snarked on the phone. We processed the paperwork for the warranty and she emails me a list of things to send to the shop, I get it sent over to them no problem. As I read it, I see they only cover $45 an hour up to $500. Which really pisses me off, I understand it’s a used transmission and I get it is a used part, But why lie to me about the condition? Now I have to pay a portion of the install yet again. I will not be buying from ABCO Ever again
Steering rack leaking. I guess they forgot to at least check to see if the steering rack is in good condition before selling. One of the inner tie rod ends' boots had steering fluid in it, and it's only a leak that would cause that. I don't understand why they didn't check it before placing on the market for sale. It's just the time wasted that annoys me. It's so easy to check just by turning the off-the-car steering rack all the way to the left and right to see if fluid is leaking by unclipping the round clip on the tie rod boots. And yes, this is another review I've given to this place (I left another one in the past).
Terrible company, terrible parts, terrible warranty, terrible customer service after the initial sale of the part. Been working with used parts for 20+ years and have never had such a terrible experience, and terrible quality parts. I hate to leave this bad review but based on the absolutely terrible experiences I had; I have to warn people. This company cost me thousands of dollars and was extremely rude throughout the warranty process.
It's a good place to get parts everything you're looking for is there with a friendly personal stuff that understands your need give them a visit you'll see it yourselves.
Called Tuesday to set up appt to look at pickup box. Got there at 9 am which was my time. Gave the lady my confirmation number, waited about 20 minutes, guy came out and said I would have to come back. Told him I drove 40 miles to get this box, he said he would look. After another 20 minutes said it wasn't there. SO, after being lied to a couple of times, then they didn't have it, will never do business there again and I buy alot of stuff. I did receive a call from John the owner and he really did try to take care of me. Didn't work out but I do give him alot of credit for trying.
Not sure how I felt about them at the beginning, it took sometime but I've bought 3 or 4 engines there and i must say everything after the first engine was great not to mention Life time warranties on other parts of course no u pull it, No hassle, No worries just call if they have your part which I almost can guarantee they do you just swing by and the part is waiting for you excellent customer service there is nobody there that is shy they talk to you great place for car parts. Which reminds me to call them Monday I put $500 down on an engine
If youre a professional or someone who doesn't want to do a job 3 or 4 times I'd avoid buying engines, transmissions, etc from here. Ive gotten 5 or so bad units in the past 6 months all with over 8-10 hours labor for install. On the last transmission I decided to pay for the warranty labor coverage because of how much time and money I've lost in the past with thier bad parts. I spent 10 hrs putting the transmission in after they told me it was tested and good but sure enough, slipping and slow shifting until it would no longer shift at all. Their warranty pays 45$/hr up to 500$ and i had to pay 170$ to get it. They said in this case they will only pay 360$ So thats actually 190$ after I paid for the warranty, but after filter and gasket @40$ (which was removed so i needed to purchase) and fluid, which was obviously drained, 70$. We're sitting at about 80$ to cover the labor on a 8+ hr job that I have to do again, plus I have to hope they dont give me another core? I brought up my concerns and was forwarded to John, the same guy you'll inevitably be talking to when you order parts from here and they turn out to be junk. He had nothing to offer but a full refund, which is better than nothing but doesn't cover any of the extra parts I had to buy. It also does nothing for the labor it took to put it in or take it back out. So theres 15+hours wasted on a "tested and good" part. I asked how it was tested because this is the 5th or so bad unit I've gotten, which includes engines with no compression, and he got an attitude and cut the call short because "obviously I'm just mad" and there clearly are no answers to my legitimate questions. Buy important mechanical parts somewhere else cause this place wont hesitate to send you a core and tell you it was good and tested. Dont bother with the warranty because it's not going to cover you much anyway, Feels like the payout is so low because they know they can't stand behind their parts. It's a coin toss. Expect to jump through some hoops to get anything for your time, and don't expect much from customer service. I let it go the first couple times I had to re-do the jobs for free thinking "they're used parts, things can happen" now I can see this is just how they do things.
My previous review I warned of a bad experience. The company reached out to me directly, and I truly felt like they wanted to fix the issues they’re experiencing. I believe they are trying their best. And will do what they can to fix their issues. Tons of parts in stock there if you need it..
Terrible customer service. They put me on hold for 25 minutes because they couldn't give a straight answer about the transmission. I called to check the price for a 2012 Passat and got mixed messages. when the online price is originally 249.99. If they put you on hold, you're better off just going in person. garbage
Awful customer service!!!!!!!!! My fiance and 2.5 year old were there and the battery died in his truck. He was there to pick up parts. Fiance asked if a worker could jump his truck, worker said no and went into the building and proceeded to lock the door. I called to speak to someone about what was happening and it took close to 3 minutes to answer and then female individual on phone seemed nice as I was explaining our situation and asked if they could help and her attitude changed drastically and said they can't do that for liability reasons. No offer to help or even to ask if he wanted a new battery since they are, after all, a parts place. Definitely do not recommend!!! Rude rude rude. Locking the doors?!? My 2.5 year old was with him
Updating my review. Terrible Called, was told the part was available, and that they'll put our name on it. Tood to go to Brooklyn Center location. Agreed and said were coming to pick it up. Went to pick it up and can't find the part. The employee kept insinuating that we should have called to check its available... Except that we DID do that!! Employee admitted to being unorganized. Ridiculous joke of a company
We are a small local shop and use you all on a regular basis. Karina is one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever worked with in the parts business. She always provides excellent customer service, and usually a couple laughs with our interactions. Chris delivers parts to us and has always gone above and beyond to make sure we are getting an accurate and quality part. I have been meaning to reach out for quite some time and sing their praises. As long as these two are part of your team we will be loyal customers.
The worst place in the world.Can’t even 1 star rate !!!!Guys before you buy parts from them, check out the review!!! I don't even want to call or have a business with Abco in the near future. If you don't start respecting customers, you'll lose business,because the business starts with respect for customers and not with deception. Management should work on problems, not just sit and respond to feedback
Drive shaft I went to get had two bad Universal joints. Not even a little bad they were locked up. Cannot believe it was put on the shelf as a good part to start with. Make sure to check your parts if you buy from here.
Bought an engine and went back to load it up. Two guys who don’t speak English dropped it off the forklift 4ft high when trying to load it. They giggled. 5.2l ram 1500 5spd. Don’t buy it. I got my money back.funniest part was they got upset with us when they dropped the motor I just payed for……. I called the owner he said he would heavily discount it and that was $75 to him. And no warranty, when they dropped it. They don’t care here. People are there for a check. You can also see the guy smiling when he picks the engine back up. Plus I don’t know if you can tell but look at that very secure chain. DONT GO HERE.
I do not recommend this place, their products are so bad that you have to go back to change them, and when you call they don't answer, it's a terrible service.
Very patient and willing to work with us. We had a short notice situation, and the leadership here had excellent customer service. They were willing to work with our unfortunate circumstances and at the end of it, we left happy and with our situation perfectly resolved. Highly recommended. Absolutely choose A-abco first. Busy place but very efficient. I am impressed. Also lifetime warranty on select parts! Combined with reasonable prices this seems hard to beat in the reused parts market.
Years ago I bought a battery and it worked awesome and it really helped me out. I'm a single dad with 3 kids so I really try to save money so I thought when I needed tires they would be a good option. Well I bought tires and headed over to discount to get them installed only to get laughed at by them because one tire had a lawn mower tire plug in it and two of them had cracks in the bead and abbco doesn't take returns so I had to take the 300 dollar loss and that really hurt. I guess it's my fault but I don't know anything about tires and I didn't think about them being so bad I couldn't even use them. Fast forward months later to now I need a battery and money is tight once again so I try them again...I must be dumb I call and ask if they have my battery and they go oh yea we have quite a few...so I drive there just to be told no we don't have any then I have my friend call again just to double check and once again they say oh yea we have some so I turn around to try the other store only to be told again oh no we dont. The workers don't care at all. I just wished this placed worked out for me because it's hard out here.just wish I could have got some of my money back or at least a battery....dang
So far whenever I need a part this place has came through. Staff are courteous and helpful most of the time but I get it, the times I've been there they were pretty busy but they came through. Prices are what to be expected.
ordered bumper they said it would be on hold for me l have a 300 mile trip one way called the morning I was on the way they said it was there waiting for me l arrived 3 hours later at Brooklyn Park location and they acted like there was no order ,finally they realized who I was told me someone else picked up bumper for me which was not true I had just called 3 hours ago, someone should be looking for a new job this is the worst I have ever been treated and they acted like it was my fault just wanted me to leave, very poor business I'm out 200 in gas and 600 miles yes I'm not happy
