Michelle at yard 61 has the worst customer service. Very rude and unhelpful. Called in regards to a title that was never received after over 4 months of purchasing a vehicle. I was trying to get an update for a duplicate that they are supposed to be getting expedited after we have paid for that process to be done. She said they don't expedite the process and we should be glad we are even getting a duplicate title. Like what!!

the best manager tj i called him the first time, and he was so kind and helpful. He solve my problem. He did everything in the right way, and he'll place it.And he gave me his phone number, he said, is there any other issue?Just let me know.I'll try to work and solve it.Thank you tj and the employees I have ever dealt with, very kind and very quick to complete the payment of purchase invoices. I've been a buyer for many years. This is one of my favorite locations to pick up. The transactions are quick and smooth. The manager, TJ, goes above and beyond. I recently had a hiccup with a vehicle purchased and he was quick to take action. The issue was resolved faster than expected.

At the Flint location. Last year in Sept 2024. They sold me a rusted out Red 2008 Ford F150. 5.4l Triton. I was ok with the light rust and pretty pictures. The online listing said run and drive. They dropped vehicle off. So dented up and rusted not identified in the pictures, and The transmission gears don't have no reverse. I only can move forward in drive , and Im moving forward no longer buying another vehicle from there. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. Because I was stupid enough to buy it. Without inspection first.

Very dissapointed by Logan Kilbride, he sold a car with different pictures and now is tellig me the client to shut the mouth because he cannot assist me, very dissapointed, He is selling garbages with beautiful pictures, and when you receive the damaged car he know only to say that the case is closed. I am very dissapointed

Stay away from this location! Bought a truck, and it came with no keys. The description pictures showed a key and "runs and drives". So if you plan on purchasing a car from here, be prepared.

What a waste land this location is I finally got my car to Toronto just to put on the Hoist and find the Catalytic converters were stolen out of it. Cut the O2 sensor harness cut all the plastic shields underneath the heat shields were cut into and some of the body just to steal two stainless steel cats that are worth 50 bucks each But caused $3500 plus damage I don’t even feel like keeping the cat anymore so disappointed

Mrs. Kelly and the title department was very helpful and professional for my duplicate title request whereas the yard that i purchased the vehicle in MEMPHIS TENNESSEE did not even want to help me for the duplicate title request.

MAKE SURE YOU TAKE PHOTOS OF THE CAR BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE LOT. My car had thousands of dollars worth of parts missing from the body. Though the photos from the copart listing clearly showed the parts still on my car, they were all missing by the time I purchased the vehicle. To prove my suspicion correct, I had the tow truck driver take photos of the car before leaving the lot. Sure enough, there were several obvious parts taken off the car. Despite my best efforts of reaching out to managerial staff to recover the missing parts, nothing was done. I Essentially got a too bad so sad message. I know there are a few Copart lots that are well known to be "Dangerous lots" when purchasing vehicles but its sad to see Detroit become one. So if you're going to buy from this lot, make sure to TAKE PHOTOS BEFORE YOU LEAVE the lot.

It's a good place they help you see the cars lady upfront were helpful although the could give us a ride to cars in that super rainy day. They decided to go with the car and made us walk a bit there is not any complaint about that. I don't blame anyone they might not have the permission to do that ultimately I saw some cars and I'm pretty happy with this place will be updated if I won a car from this place.
Update 1 - after my initial review I bout a lot of cars from them bad and some good experience bought a mini van and it said runs and drives not only it was not run and drive it was also completely strapped out of the exhaust stuck with it for while and sold it for a big L also one of the worst experience if you want to preview cars hours of waiting time this is ridiculous not only we pay for annual fee but there is also fat buyer fee and a lot more why I need to wait for hours while employees chit chatting as a local guide it’s my responsibility to be transparent and honest as im doing business with this place with large sum of money I’ll keep reviewing this place also changing my review from 4 starts to 2Jun 23, 2025 -
They told me a bit of information on the phone and then in person said the complete opposite and offered absolutely no help in the slightest due their error. I wasted 2 hours driving to and from this terrible location. All of the customer service reps were rude and unhelpful, I recommend desperately staying away from this location if you can.

One of the best Copart I’ve been too, they have excellent customer service. The girls in the back for dispatching are great! Tj and Logan are super helpful as well. Highly recommend this Copart location!

Beyond unprofessional! They were loading some other truck, the load fell off from the trailer due to negligence and Damaged our truck. Spoke with manager, she confirmed the damage and now refusing to pay for it. Unacceptable!

BEWARE! So many red flags from the start. Contacted them to sell my car, accepted their offer & they said a tow company would call me in 24-48 hrs. the tow person didn’t inform me that a tow was scheduled for the same day. The car wasn’t where they thought it was, so cash for cars had no choice but to contact me to verify the address. when I asked why I wasn’t told about the scheduled pick up the lady apologized. Then the tow person contacted me, I asked him what tow company he was from & he lied about who he worked for. The moment the truck pulled up with a different company name I knew they were on some bs. He showed me a check that was clearly fabricated, it didn’t have a bank logo or the correct bank routing number on it. I sent the driver on his way cuz I was not about to get scammed out of my vehicle & have to pay my bank back or worse for depositing a fake check! I’ll be sure to install a camera just in case they try to come back & steal my car.

Be carefully. Copart never asked specifically if I want to be placed on the auto renew list when I first signed up. It looks like Copart sneaks that in as their default setting. There's no reminder of the auto billing before they run it and then they say they can't refund your payment. Poor business practice. I should have read the fine print! Once looking on their web site I realized their fees are so high that it's not worth purchasing through them.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COPART! I GOT SCAMMED FROM THIS LOCATION. I purchased a 2016 300s... the vehicle had no check engine light and looked great in pictures. I received the vehicle and as the tow truck went to unload it, we noticed a very loud exhaust. Go to find out the catalytic converters were stolen as well the vehicle had no oil. The oil pan was cracked. Within 5 minutes I reached out to copart, sent emails to there "general manager" and a couple days go by, I receive no reply so I gave them a call today AND DID NOT EVEN GET TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING AS HE JUST KEPT CUTTING ME OFF AND NOT LETTING ME SPEAK! I will take full matter of this and keep fighting.

I got an appointment 10/31/24 at 3:30 pm and the truck was loaded at 5:15pm. The forklift driver told me to pickup the truck key at the office. The office was closed but one employee called the manager. She came with attitude and told me the office was closed and I told her that I need to pickup the key and she told me to come back next day. I told her I was going to VA that I can't wait. So the key will be mailed she said. Now, I have to figure out how to put the truck on neutral and unload it at my customer destination. If they do not provide a car with keys, they should put that on their app so the driver knows that we need to go to the office first

I rated at 3 stars because the office staff were great but....these lift drivers take FOREVER! 1 car and it took almost 2 hrs even with appointment, they were bringing tow companies that came in after me get their vehicles 1st. Should allow some to go pick up vehicles on side lot for run&drive lots. Definitely will stick to Wayland and Flint.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Had my late father’s old car towed here, and had it done so unattended due to me being out of state. Mailed them the keys and title as soon as the pickup was confirmed. Never received payment for the vehicle.
After 4 months of back and forth of them saying they didn’t receive anything (although I mailed with tracking so delivery was confirmed) it was determined that it had been sitting in the mailroom the whole time and never was filed.
A “manager” two months prior said it had been filed and that my check should have been cut and would get back to me. Eventually his phone number stopped working. After 5 months total, was told they wouldn’t pay me for the vehicle because they marked it as abandoned for never receiving title and keys. Again they were tracked and the secretary Kelly told me the paperwork had been sitting there not filed into the system the entire time.
Do not waste your time, energy or money here! The managers TJ, Tez, and Logan if they are the actual managers, are never in office or available to speak so it will take you 3-4 weeks in between communication to even get an update.Jul 24, 2024 -

THEY DONT ADVISE YOU THAT YOU CANNOT PAY IN CASH BUT NEED FULL PAYMENT CANNOT SPLIT PAYMENT BUT PER MEMBER YOU HAVE $600 per day per member….ha that’s funny so my $790 cannot be paid $600 today and $190 tomorrow when I’m actually picking up the vehicle nor the $4000 for the other vehicle
I will be cancelling my membership and never work with Copart again. the employee helping me gave so much wrong information she doesn’t know her job at all!!! Leave the rude employees that told me I have to wait OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN because they only allow 4 people inside at a time and my being there since 11am because of them taking forever now 3pm still no car and have to wait outside in the rain.
They bring out running driving vehicles on forklifts and damage the vehicle while bringing it out. Worst experience ever!!!!!May 29, 2024 -
Wanted to look at a car. I’ve been here multiple times looking at cars before closing time (5PM). I drove over an hour to come here and now suddenly they tell me I have to be here by at least 3:45PM to view a car? Waste of time thanks!

Very untrusted people
I bought a truck with side damage for 5 k when they get it I found that the engine is obviously broken and it have damage everywhere , they didn’t mention that it has mechanical damage and when i tried to return it
They refused to return it and charge me 600 USD for re-listing fee
I called the customer service they told me they can’t do anything and I have to talk to yard manager who charged me listening feeAug 31, 2021 -
It’s a truck driver named Deon that has poor customer service skills. I specifically asked to have a call before drop off to dispatch to have a person there to meet him for paper work. Person didn’t have time to come out, I didn’t receive a call before drop off on two separate occasions. First drop, he placed my car in the middle of the street, didn’t receive a call until he dropped the car off. Months later, Second time, he didn’t call me until he arrived, then drove off without having a key. Dispatch and Deon keep a repetitive saying, you’ll have to speak to dispatch or you’ll have to speak to the driver Deon, which both have come to an organized understanding too, but to call you before a vehicle drop off

This place is horrible. Please make sure you have tire care for your vehicle. The loading area is pitiful. People just throw broken car parts all over the place. An no one from management ever sends anybody out to clean up the place.

Horrible experience. After spending thousands of dollars and dozens of hours in effort they pulled run and drive car up to me. Belt exploded in a smoking melting mess and the copart employee laughed and said ha my job is done here. He didn't turn it off and do the right thing when the belt was too tight, he just drove it straight to me whether it wrecked it or not. Then came the nightmare. Car was listed as minor scratches, no damages. Frame was rusted into oblivion - the cars frame was GONE and they didn't disclose it all, it was dead obvious with a two second look under the car on one knee. They said "whoops" and now I'm out over $1000 in fees, airfare, gas, etc.
They looked for a reason to not cancel the sale either. Car they sold me with a clean title was so structurally unsafe a cop would have impounded and seized it for scrapping were I to drive it. Should have been sold to dismantler. Avoid at all costs, do not understand any circumstances trust their assessment - a car pictured, listed, and guaranteed to not be a rbrbNov 07, 2017
