I brought in wire today and recently, they didnt even look at it properly. Just marked computer wire. Ripped off. This was good house wire. Last year was different.
They tell me everything Is shred, pretty sure been getting scammed on some of that too.
Also on cast items. Stainless Steel Tables in the Past. THey claim are "dirty" when other yards didn't on Same stuff. I get more for brass and others at a close by yard. Going here for as long as I did was definitely a mistake.

Helpful staff is the only reason for the 2 stars otherwise I would give as low as possible. Called and was quoted a really good price on insulated wire (lamp cords, vacuum cords, extension cords, appliance wire harnesses) got there and they tell me what I have is PC wire and they'll pay 1/3 of what I was quoted.
The yards in the metro detroit area have become the biggest metal thieves out there. Needless to say, my 204lbs of wire is back home with me and growing.
If I'm gonna give it away, I'll put it back on the curb
I wanted to put a minus stars. What a rip off I had a huge lg refrigerator that was super heavy , and a double oven stove and few small items and I only got 60.00 dollars that refrigerator should have been 60 alone never will I recycle again I’ m better off selling as is on marketplace !! They said 8cents per pound what a joke!! Keep your trash in melvindale !
Ms. Erica is always very polite and professional. The whole staff is as a matter of fact. They get in and out fast! Always have had a good experience when I come to their establishment!!

I went to the one in Melvindale & they have such amazing customer service. Especially their worker Stevie , an absolute gem & helped me find what I was looking for ! Will be returning again in the future
Not the best prices but a decent place, fyi do not bring cats here, offered me 40$ for two, went into detroit and got 280$ for them. Calling and asking for current rates really can pay off!
This was my first time selling scrap. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. They even had a great big cooler full of free ice water for the customers, which was awesome on a super hot day!
