AAA roadside assistance that went far beyond expectations. Had a dead battery. Ali from Big House Towing arrived promptly following communications on when he would arrive. He was kind, caring, a great listener and was able to help me find the paperwork I needed to get a full warranty on the battery. Just an awesome experience. Highly recommended. Thank you!
My son walked out of work early Sunday morning and saw that he had a flat tire so called AAA. Ali from Big House Towing arrived and did not know how to release the spare tire from our Honda Pilot. Eventually, the spare tire was released and Ali put it on. Apparently, he did not tighten the lug nuts since the tire was moving (unbeknownst to my son) while my son drove the car home. When my son took the car into Discount Tire Monday morning to purchase a new tire they explained that they couldn’t put the new tire on since the threads on the lug nuts were damaged from the tire moving. They suggested that we have the car towed to Midas since Discount could not repair the lug nuts. They would not let my son drive the car since it was too dangerous to drive. I have since called AAA and filed a claim due to the damaged lug nuts. The bill for a wheel job repair kit and labor was $844.05. Hopefully, AAA does the right thing and reimburse my son for their mistake in contracting with an inept company.
Terrible customer service. I called for a tow and was asked how many miles were on my car and what type of vehicle it was. Not once did he ask about the address of where it's going or where it's at. I stated I only needed a tow from shop to shop and he asks " what's wrong with it?" My response was that I didn't know, that's why I needed a tow. He gave me a quote without any of that information and when I called him out on it, he told me I wasn't making any sense call somewhere else. Literally yelling at student for needing a 5 minute tow.
Big house towing are beyond professional. In the midst of my dads truck breaking down on the highway, John swooped in and gave A+ service today! From the time he pulled up, to the time we got the truck back to the house and he helped us get it perfect in front of our drive way! Having people relatable and patient like John to help my dad when he needed it, makes me believe there are truly kind people!
I was lucky to be home when my battery died this morning. Our estimate wait was about an hour which was accurate. The gentleman, Ali, called and advised us of his arrival. He was kind and courteous while being very informative regarding what was the diagnosis. He kindly replaced my battery and I will hope against these other reviews it will last. if not, there is a 3 year warranty.Otherwise, I am not worried and he had an overall calm and wonderful demeanor. I appreciate all his assistance and great energy.
WARNING!!!! I am sharing this experience so hopefully no one else gets their car damaged by this company! Try to make this short….. I was sick when the driver pulled my truck onto his flatbed so I was in no condition to argue with the driver when I heard a smashing and crunching noise coming from where he was loading my truck out of my line of sight. I also caught the footage of the damage to my truck on my ring camera. I called the manager to let him know about the damage to my truck and he stated that his driver called him while he was loading my truck to tell him he was having problems loading my truck. I went there and they put my truck on their flatbed and my smashed hood lined up perfectly with there emergency lights and when I questioned the driver about the crunching noise while loading my truck he got very agitated with me and lunged at me so I backed off and called the police. What a NIGHTMARE it was letting this company handle the care of my only means of transportation!
This company was dispatched out by progressive for a flat tire it was 8:30 when I called it in. I didn’t receive a call from them till 11pm! They then told me they couldn’t do tows or help with the flat! My battery had died from having the hazards on so I was freezing sitting on the side of the highway. 10/10 would not recommend this company!
I needed a tow and progressive dispatched Big House Towing and it took about an hour to get out there, which is normal so that was fine. The driver then came and picked up the car, which was also fine. I told the tow driver that we were also going to the mechanic and that he could follow us there so he didn’t get lost (it’s in the county off of the dirt roads.)
Well because it’s the middle of winter dirt roads in the middle of Belleville are icy, and the tow driver was trying to turn around and got stuck in the snow. (I also want to add that if the driver was unable to get out we have heavy machinery that could have been used to pull him out and we were preparing to do so u til he started to yell.) He then proceeded to yell at me saying how the road is icy and and if dispatch would have known they wouldn’t have sent him to do the tow if they knew it was off of an icy road. I don’t know he expected in the middle of winter but I’m pretty sure icy roads are one of the things you SHOULD expect.
I just think if you can’t drive a tow truck in winter and you aren’t comfortable with it, you probably shouldn’t be driving a tow truck.
Guys from Big House Towing are always friendly and helpful, and good at keeping you updated on their ETA. Walid and Ali have both helped me recently through AAA. Great job as always!
Ali was scheduled for an appointment through AAA, they gave him the job an hour early so I wasn't there yet. He was unable to service the vehicle without me present but came back when I was able to arrive.
Big House was at my house 20 mins. after I put in my request, did a diagnostic and then honored the warranty on the battery that they sold me 18 months ago. Installed a new one on site and saved my Christmas. Jacob was friendly and fast!
The people were very friendly, but their communication was deceptive. Initially, they provided me with a price for a battery replacement, which I agreed to. However, after the battery replacement was completed, it became that the quoted price was a discounted rate exclusively available to AAA members and not for me.
My car wouldn't start so we called AAA and they sent out Bighouse Towing. He tested the battery and found it was dead. We bought a new battery from Big House and the Tec. installed it. Next morning my car wouldn't start. Again AAA sent Bighouse Towing. They tested the battery and told us it was good. He charged it and we were able to drive it through the day. Next morning AGAIN the battery was dead!! My friend jumped started my car. Husband to took it to the Ford dealer and they did an extensive vehicle check and found the battery was bad. They told us they have had to replace several AAA batteries. Now we are having issues with AAA about what to do with the bad battery and getting our money back. Our credit card company is working with us on this. Very frustrating.
They came to help me with a lock-out through AAA, and broke my door in the process. When I filed a damage complaint, they ignored it. AAA had to step in to mediate, and they still refused responsibility because I couldn't prove they had been the ones to break it. I don't have evidence that my door worked normally before your tech arrived, that is an unreasonable standard to have. The tech verbally told me that he had caught the handle wrong, but that apparently isn't enough to take responsibility or to even acknowledge that a damage complaint was filed with your company.
Will from Big House Towing responded when our car broke down. He arrived on the scene promptly after we called and tried to trouble shoot the car issue before pulling it up on the truck. Will was very professional and very helpful throughout the whole situation.
Stuck at home with a car battery issue, I contacted AAA who sent out Big House Towing. Ali was the tech who came out and he was amazing. Great manners with an incredible personality, he quickly diagnosed the issue and I was soon on my way. Thank you BHT and Ali for saving my day!

I would like to acknowledge the wonderful customer service I received this afternoon from Waleed who assisted me with locked out services, via a request through AAA, Waleed was very pleasant and explained the nuances of the anti-theft system in the manufacturer of cars like mine. He reviewed how the alarm would go off and it may take a few attempts. Waleed did have to try a number of times with also trying to retrieve the keys on the seat. Waleed was committed to getting the car unlocked and assured me he would accomplish it. He was determined but very pleasant as he tried to unlock the car. As promised, he was successful. I cannot say enough about Waleed's commitment to get the task completed while being ever so personable and patient.
Big House Towing was sent out to move my car through my insurance's roadside assistance program and arrived 90 minutes after the estimated arrival time. The driver noticed that my car was low to the ground and the front bumper was getting close to the asphalt as it was being pulled onto the flatbed. After the front bumper started to scrape the ground and I finally told him to pause, he suddenly revealed that he had two boards to use to reduce the angle of the flatbed. If he used those boards from the beginning, my like-new condition bumper wouldn't have been damaged during the towing process.
We were stranded with a failed transmission about 25 miles from home. Kyle was dispatch to help get us and our vehicle back home. Kyle called within a few minutes and provided a quick ETA When Kyle arrived he went right to work and was very friendly in the process. Thanks Kyle!
I walked out of my house and had a flat tire. Used my road side assistance through State Farm which was pretty easy to use.
They matched me with Big House towing.
I get a text at 10:28 that they would arrive in 40-70 mins, they don’t arrive at that time. I get another text shortly after the expired window from State Farm that Big House changed it to 30 additional minutes. 30 minutes go by so I call the actual dispatcher, she is SUPER short and rude. The call goes, “Hi, I’m calling to find out the status on my tire repair, I was told about 2 hours ago someone should be here.”
Dispatcher- “Actually it’s only been an hour and it will be another 45 minutes before my driver can get to you..”
“It actually hasn’t, and I begin reading off the time stamp of the text messages I received..” Dispatcher-“well, it’s gonna be another 45 minutes. Call your insurance company and get a new company if you don’t like it..”
This is literally suppose to be a professional company.
So I call State Farm, to tell them what happened, they say “we’ll call and see the status and why there are so many delays..”
He comes back in the line and says the women who was the dispatcher canceled my service because I was rude. Since when is asking for accountability being rude!? Anywho, if you need good service, do not choose this company. There are several others out there that are more then happy to have the work. I’m thankful my tire didn’t go flat with my 3 kids in the car on the side of the road. This company wasted 2 hours of my time, if they didn’t want or knew they couldn’t perform the job in a timely manor they shouldn’t have taken it.

TLDR: Shady business practices, careless. If you need a tow or repair in the Ann Arbor area, look elsewhere. I've reported the company to AAA and they've flagged it for review.

I had a broken down vehicle towed by Big House Towing twice in one day.
The first time they towed my vehicle from the road to their repair shop. I told the tow truck driver I was donating the vehicle and just needed to get it off the road. The tow truck took the vehicle to it's own shop (Wolverine Auto), not the one that AAA had instructed to even though the shop AAA had requested was much closer. I suspect this was to maximize the amount they could charge AAA for the tow and to force me to use their shop.
The tow truck driver then (reportedly) did not inform his repair shop mechanic that I was donating the vehicle and I was charged a $120 diagnostic fee from their repair shop before they would give me my vehicle back, they also threatened to charge a storage fee if the vehicle wasn't removed immediately.
Due to my negative experience with the shop (which I've reviewed separately), I called AAA and they had my vehicle towed to a family members house. The vehicle was again towed by Big House Towing.
When I inspected my vehicle the next day, I found the tow truck driver/shop had killed the battery, damaged the ignition so it was very difficult to get the key back in or out, and left the rear windows open.
I reported my experience to AAA and they said they would flag the shop and towing company.
Called AAA and they dispatched Big House Towing for my vehicle on 23 South, I94 ramp and the driver Sief was there within 5 minutes. He made sure we were safe first off and then loaded our vehicle. Extremely personable and professional driver who made sure to make the situation well managed!!
They were contracted by AAA to remove my car from a ditch, and tow it. They initially said it would be a 3 hour wait, which - fair enough. That deadline came and went, and they didn’t call. Told AAA it would be 4am before they could get there. I arranged to leave the keys in the car and got a ride home.
This morning, car is still in the ditch. No contact at all from Big House.
Avoid this service at all costs.
One never wants to use a towing company - it means you're likely having an awful day. However, once Hunter from Big House Towing arrived to tow my car, I was immediately put at ease. Talk about a nice guy!!!
Not only did he go above and beyond, but he was friendly, helpful and a complete professional. Definitely made having to use a tow truck a less painful experience, by far. Thanks, Hunter!!
I was very pleased with the service I received with Big house Towing. Jeremy helped us, we were stuck on the side if 94 and I had my son with me so I was very nervous. Jeremy was very helpful he went above and beyond my expectations and I will definitely be referring them to friends and family in the future. They even called the next day to ensure good service was provided. Thanks guys
I had a great experience with these guys yesterday. I'm still giving them a 5/5, even though I had to wait a bit, cause I think they were short drivers the day after Easter, and there were a few communication issues.They were fine with picking up and dropping off without me there, and it didn't bug me that there were a few communication issues, cause they called me each time to clarify and make sure everything was understood, so there weren't any mistakes. Although they had to call a few times, they were never anything but easygoing and patient about it. I hope to not need a tow often, but I'll be calling them when I do.
I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Bighouse Towing. My car’s battery needed to be replaced so I called AAA and Ash arrived in less than 20 minutes, which was already a fantastic start (I’m used to hour+ long wait times with AAA). Ash was so kind and helpful, replaced the battery quickly and professionally and even helped my neighbors who coincidentally couldn’t get their car out of their parking spot due to ice buildup. He went above and beyond. I can’t speak to any of the negative reviews left on here but I would certainly use Bighouse Towing again!
