Great service, fast and easy. Just pull in, drive onto the scale, get weighed, drive to the back and get unloaded, drive back over the scale to get reweighed, show your drivers license, get a paper receipt, walk to the ATM, scan said receipt, walk away with cash!! TYVM!

Fair prices okay service the person running the scale didn't even acknowledge that I walked up however he did everything correctly and made sure I got the proper weight for everything

I’ve been in there twice in the last few weeks. Both times the lot was clean and Derick and the guys are friendly and respectful.

For the accessibility, I think they're more than fair. Very nice people to deal with

Easy to bring everything and drop it off This is a nice looking yard that isn't a chaotic mess my only concern is the amount of shiny scrap in the dirt, as I was worried my tires would be punctured. Other than that, pain free procees

This is the worst place you can bring your scrap the manually put in their way I brought in 105 lb of copper only got paid for 60 of it I haven't told by a lot of different people that they've been ripping people off and I actually had all my scrap waited before braided there and yes they're ripping everybody off on their metal I had a seat for myself before i changed scrap yards I recommend going off a Dunbar r&s I believe it's called they pay more fore your scrap

This is the best place to bring back any type of scrap. I read the reviews and tried it myself and it's way better than Fritz's or Hi-Way recyclers.

Yard pays less than surrounding yards for shred steel. Yard also does not accept any e-waste on Saturdays. Phone does not get answered on Saturdays. Checkout process is fast.

don't ever trust this place! I've taken my items here for years and just excepted what they pay. I called them and they said bring my item, when I drove in, they said ok. got out back and a short guy said no no no. i think that's all he knew. I went to another place and wow! soooo much better. so much for friendship ! by KBR

Great staff&fair prices.Needed a cheap tire for my sisters car, just happened to remember that they sell used tire for $15ea.Found 1 in the size needed&it looked almost new.So if I'm in need of a spare or just 1 good tire I wont hesitated to take a quick look there first. Oh yeah I drop my scrap steel off there too.

I think they pay less than other places, but I kinda like the place. If we don't help support the little guy, there won't be any left. The owner seems to be a good guy.

Great yard. Everything is in order. Straight forward drop off, easy for a first time person to understand. Great prices.

Our experience today was beyond unbelievable. Were there a negative option for the star ratings I would have accurately used it in this instance. I am more than happy to provide positive feedback whenever possible on a business and generally approach interactions with someone at their place of business with respect. That was not possible today. Kevin Butzin was EXTREMELY rude, would not allow me to get a word in edgewise, just short of accused me of being a liar and flat out refused to help me with the loading of tires back onto our trailer after I tried to do the right thing and volunteered to come pick up the tires. Mr. ButzIn stated: "Why should I help you load the tires? My equipment might damage your trailer." The only way his equipment was going to damage the trailer was 1) if his operator (perhaps him?) was incompetent; and 2) if the operator lifted the tires up as high as possible and forcefully dropped them. We have a brand new well built utility trailer that was NOT going to fall apart had the tires been loaded back into it with a machine. This is only my second experience dealing with someone in the scrap business. It will hopefully be my last. I am unclear how the man manages to stay in business but I do not ever plan to return. There was zero transparency in the way his business is run as far as what to expect cost wise when a 30 yard was delivered to our home. There was zero communication on the process after the scrap was removed from our property. Nor was there any communication on how payment would be made for the scrap metal that was removed from our property. In my prior experience with someone in the scrap business, all this information was provided up front so everyone was on the same page, so to speak. Things took a decided downhill turn when Mr. Butzin called me to inform me there were tires in our load of scrap. He was correct, there were tires. I remained calm on the phone despite his very angry tone of voice. I attempted to explain to Mr. Butzin WHY the tires were in with the scrap and offered to come and pick the tires up. I wanted to make things right as I had NO INTENTIONS of trying to rip Mr. Butzin off. Upon arrival at Mr. Butzin's scrap yard and after we unloaded some scrap metal from our trailer, we went back to the scales to be weighed empty. Shortly thereafter, when we went back in the scrap yard to load our tires, I tried to find out from Mr. Butzin how much money we were owed for the ~14,000 pounds of scrap that had come to his yard in two 30 yard boxes. Mr. Butzin informed me he/someone had given my brother-in-law a "slip" that stated how much cash we were due but NO ONE in my vehicle ever saw the "slip." In fact, I was told by Mr. Butzin that I would end up owing Mr. Butzin money! We left without a final weight being taken after my attempts at having a civil conversation with Mr. Butzin devolved into a verbal confrontation with Mr. Butzin where I was not permitted to finish a sentence despite asking repeatedly to be allowed to finish speaking and, where I was just short of openly accused of trying to pull a "fast one" with Mr. Butzin despite my going to retrieve the offending tires! I do not know if we were owed any money or not and I have no intentions of ever finding out. I do not ever plan to return to that place. I cannot recommend anyone doing business with that man except at their own risk of being insulted and falsely accused. Maybe if I had been a white male things would have gone differently. Mr. Butzin repeatedly referred to me condescendingly as "ma'am" but I corrected him and said I was not his "ma'am" and there was another word he should use to accurately refer to me that starts with a B and ends with an H. Mr. Butzin played me for a fool, which is unacceptable as a business person or a "professional," a word that cannot be applied to Mr Butzin. Perhaps that is how Mr. Butzin makes his money is by ripping people off once their scrap is in his yard. This was an EXTREMELY UPSETTING incident and I do not make this post lightly.

Showed up to return some scrap copper, not much. Just a small load that I carried in, lady watched me walk in and set it on the scale. She was walking around with someone in the yard. It was 4:58, yes they close at 5. After she walked around for a minute or so, she hollered over scales are closed it’s past 5 o’clock. Okie dokie I come here with stuff to support local business in the area I live in. I will gladly head over to GLR in Ann Arbor. Those guys are great and friendly and wouldn’t ever speak to a customer like that. Damn Shame

Extremely rude and unprofessional!! Called to scrap my car was told I would get $150.00 and$50 of that would go to the tow truck driver figured ok nice..Tow truck driver shows up and was friendly but was not told to pay me so he then called kbr and they expected me to hand over my vehicle and title without getting paid and then the hole story changed, kbr owner says he told me I would have to follow the truck back to kbr to get weighed and then get paid depending on weight. He was very rude and unprofessional that was not what I was told or I wouldn't have agreed to that! He then called the tow truck driver and told him to put the car back he isn't doing business with me all because I wasn't going to hand over my vehicle and title without payment.

Great ppl, great establishment. Im here on the regular at least three four times a week. Never felt shorted or scammed like a lot of scrap yards have made me feel after i leave. This is by far the only place I go to, and recommend to ppl, and they give my kids suckers everytime which isn't a BIG deal to most ppl but it makes them diff from the rest. Staff is very helpful as well. Two thumbs up??and 5? for KBR recycling. Thanks much and greatly appreciate you guys!!!! And pepe is the best, love that guy lol.... #guywiththebluechevylol
