I cracked two wheels on the mother of all potholes on a dark and desolate stretch of road near Chelsea. The first company AAA dispatched to us was based out of the Ann Arbor area. After an hour of waiting, that company called to say we were too far away so they bailed on us. Statewide Towing was the company that was dispatched to us next. From the moment I answered the phone it was a completely different experience. John was upbeat, able to pinpoint my exact location & he was already on his way. Arrived in 25 minutes and the first thing he did was usher us to safety in the cab of his flatbed tow truck. He secured my car in just a few minutes. While enroute to our destination he even offered us a chance to use the restroom or get a drink because we had been sitting beside the road for a couple of hours on a balmy end of June night. He was professional, friendly and he exuded confidence. I would absolutely recommend Statewide Towing and Recovery. They were outstanding.
I highly recommend them hit a deer last night at 1:30 AM. They were there within 15 minutes to tow my vehicle. The company is awesome. Thanks again guys.
These people are crooks. We were doing some work and pulled our work van onto the grass. We called them to pull us out of a back yard maybe 30 feet They were prompt and polite but charged $300 to pull us. It was a pickup truck with a tow rope no actual tow truck. That is completely robbing someone shameful
Last month, we needed our truck towed from a parking structure in Ann Arbor, an hour from home. AAA had sent out 2 different tow company's who could not get our vehicle out of the parking structure. After 24 frustrating hours of dealing with this, I found Statewide Towing to help and John was so kind and willing to help tow it out of the parking structure with no issues. He helped us work with AAA so our towing was covered and got our vehicle home shortly after. Can't speak for their pricing, as AAA covered it. But the customer service I received that day was above and beyond. Our sons' had surgery the day before and the stress of having our vehicle not starting afterwards and having to deal with the other failed attempts at towing the vehicle home, Statewide Towing was our answer. Thank you so much!
Do not use this company!! Scam artist at work here. Given a quote over the phone that seemed reasonable, the truck arrived and loaded my vehicle. Was then given a new price of $600 more than the phone quote but told not to pay until we arrived at the tow destination. Once we arrived at my house they added another $300 to the total. Absolutely disgusted at their willingness to take advantage of someone like that!
