I had a great experience today. I needed a larger truck towed and they were there within 20 mins. They also accommodated my aunt and made her very happy upon drop off. All around d great experience!
I needed to get my vehicle towed three days before my 21st birthday to a city that I did not live in just to get my tire fixed to go home for my birthday. NICK towed my vehicle damaged my vehicle, which is brand new by the way, told me that he was not responsible for the damages charged me $800 tried to keep my keys. I had to call the police to get my keys and then I was charged another $200 for a wait fee that was caused by NICK because if I hadn’t been given my keys, nobody would’ve had to wait. I was told that I would receive a receipt in the mail and a paperwork saying that they were not responsible for the damages that we’re done to my vehicle while Nick was moving it from the tow bed. It is now three months later and I have never received a receipt and I was overcharged. I paid them $1000.
WHILE TRYING TO LEAVE WITH MY KEYS NICK WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND MADE THREATS TO RUN ME OVER WITH HIS TRUCK.
EDIT: AFTER READING THE REVIEWS I REALIZED THAT MANY PEOPLE HAD PROBLEMS WITH NICK AND THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. I AM A 21 YEAR OLD FEMALE AND I FEEL AS THOUGH I WAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF I WILL BE FILING A REPORT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD DO THE SAME.
I would rate this company no stars if I could. Nick scammed us. He charged us $250 to take our car ONE mile. It was the middle of the night and our car broke down and he took advantage of that. He had us cashapp him. He needs to be fired.
Felt pretty dumb running out of fuel coming off 23 onto 94 but thankful the Statewide Guys were able to help. They were there within 15 minutes and could not have been friendlier. Thanks!
Quick response, fair price, driver was very personable and helpful. He even took time to show my kids how the truck worked. Absolutely focused on customers and providing top notch service.
They raised the price over $300 after they locked my equipment to their trailer. I would like a reimbursement I was promised a 17 mile tow at a rate between $300-$400. They blamed their error on a "shift change" I hope this message reaches whomever is responsible, and they do the right thing and provide a reimbursement. (Will remove review after my issue has been addressed and resolved)
REALLY fast service, I was home 10 miles later in under an hour after the call was finalized he also was really impressive maneuvering my cat into a tight lot with his rig and made sure everything was right before departure.
My car randomly wouldn't shift out of park on Saturday. I was dreading paying for a tow and even more so finding a shop as I'm not native to the area. The person who answered the phone was so kind, polite and actually knowledgeable about my car issue. The tow driver showed up so fast and was really pleasant and kind as well. They referred me to a shop near my house, and got me home. Unfortunately the price is pretty standard across companies but the service is unmatched. The shop also seems great, called me first thing in the morning, decent price and will be fixed today.
My car broke down along the highway and he was very kind on the phone, when he arrived he made sure to get the kids safely in his truck, I liked that their safety was his first priority. I am not from the area so he helped me find a mechanic that is trusted and then also knew of a taxi I could call to get to a hotel. I am very thankful I called because he went above and beyond just a simple towing, it was a very high quality positive experience and I would recommend!
Statewide Towing And Company is nothing short of amazing! I was on my way back from school and had car issues and it was pretty late out. My tow driver Nick was beyond on point! He made sure to communicate with me his ETA and actually made it to me in a shorter time than expected. If I ever and I mean everrrrr have any car issues and need a tow I would always and only call this company. Might not be a “large company” but the customer service and professionalism surpassed anything a big company could’ve ever provided tonight. Thank you Nick for your excellent service!
This company has been more than just a towing company. During a routine visit at Mott's children's hospital my wife's car began to display a low oil level reading on the dash and I was over 2 hours north at home. After calling around everywhere trying to find a company or person who could help my wife so the engine doesn't get destroyed. His company stepped up and offered to take care of the issue. A gentleman here was so kind and even went to a local auto store to pick up oil and took it to the parking garage where my wife's car was. He inspected her car and filled the oil back up. We received a very reasonable bill for this service and could not praise this company enough.
John was fantastic. Very quick and pleasant to deal with. Great service and was a lot of help when I needed it. I would recommend this company if you need a tow.
Radiator hose broke the other day and had to pull over, unable to continue driving -called Statewide and so glad I did! John kept me informed of his location, showed up within 15 minutes, even helped unload my groceries into his truck during transfer! He is an absolute godsend - I am keeping their name in my contacts in case I ever need a tow again! Thank you Statewide!

We were on our way home from UM Hospital had a leaky tire,went flat..We are older and could not ever ,ever change or repair it..called a couple of towing co. to no avail.... WE called Statewide, and he appeared within 10 min. . Towed us to Discount Tire. He spoke with Discount and mentioned our issues, and that we werequite aways from home.We were taken care of in no time..!!! Thank you Statewide..more business owners should be so caring....
Owner, John, made a stressful situation much easier after my car was totaled in an accident on icy roads. He showed up quickly and was very helpful and friendly. John helped me empty my car of personal belongings, drove me home, and helped me and my husband get a stubborn bike rack off the back of the car. He also worked seamlessly with the insurance company. I’d recommend John and his business ten times over!
The driver John was amazing. I didn't have to wait long for him to show up. Super friendly, made a bad situation better because of his positive attitude. Would highly recommend them to anyone.
This morning 3am Canton, MI our truck won’t start and we Called Mr. John and he was sleeping of course it was 4am in the morning I called him and he get to us in 35 minutes super quick and he trying to fix the truck more then 2 hours working on it 8 degree outside temp and we find bigger issues. We can’t fix the truck we need more parts.
And he didn’t charge us nothing he said I didn’t fix I won’t charge you I can’t believe that because I’m 11 years on this business I never seen this kind of honest good person. Some road side show up and didn’t touch the truck and charge whole a lot and mostly say I can’t fix that call tow truck.

Yesterday was the second time we have been involved with Statewide both experiences were great with Nick and John. The price I was quoted to move the pick-up to the repair shop was on target and very fair. They showed up right on time and all went very smooth. A pleasant experience for a never fun problem. My car broke down in Chelsea, MI. Called at 554pm. Tow truck showed up 648p. I made it home in Walled Lake by 815pm with 4 adults. John was very friendly and helpful. Always happy to have a family owned business take my money if I have to spend it... Thank you all very much for being kind, helpful and fast! From the initial call which was an immediate real person, to getting a driver to us quickly! Price was fair as well :)
They were timely and professional. The driver was courteous and did his job well. Problem I had is they wouldn’t take my check from a business I own. Just like thier business. They tripled the cost and won’t let me remove it from their property without having it towed. A 400 dollar tow turned into 1900 just because they wouldn’t take my good check . If you use this company just make sure you know what it will cost and you have the money. Otherwise they will keep your car. Not recommended. If I did my clients that way I’d be out of business
My car wouldn't start and I had to get it towed to a shop about 11 mins from my home.
The initial phone call with this company was pleasant and a driver was able to get to my home quickly. I never got a price until my car was on the truck and while I was desperate to move my car $280 seemed kind of steep. I just went with it and aside from the driver trying to sell me a used car in the process the overall interaction was fine.
The major downturn in this interaction came after my car was dropped off at the shop, one of the mechanics let me know that my car was rolling while in park which absolutely wasn't happening with my car prior to it being towed. The mechanic told me to reach out to the driver to see what could be done, when I called they just dismissed it and said that they hadn't done anything to my car and while I wasn't happy to have to wait for the diagnostics to see what the problem was I was going to leave it at that because I really didn't have any proof that the driver had done anything to my car.
About 1-3 minutes later I received another call from the tow truck company and it starts off in a much more aggressive tone demanding me to confirm my name so they knew who they were talking to and when I confirmed the person on the other end immediately started laying into me about how I lied to the mechanic saying they did something to my car and got incredibly accusatory twisting everything I said around to make it sound like I was trying to hustle/slander them or something.
In between him going off on me I was trying to tell him that I wasn't seeking out anything further from them and that I understand I have no proof of what even could have happened to my car and this person on the phone just kept ranting and I told him I was going to hang up and I did and that was the end of the interaction but I will absolutely never go back to this place - especially when coincidentally a friend of mine had her car towed just hours after that by a different company with a much kinder experience and literally half the price I paid.
I had a Semi-truck towed in to our yard and they have broken upper fearing without even letting us know. So unprofessional but they are good to charge for $10 plus per mile. NEVER WILL USE THEM OR RECOMMED ANYONE TO USE THEM AT ALL.
My car died on me in the Kroger parking lot!!! I panicked, because my phone battery was below red. Yes, I left the house without a full charge, but the car battery was dead anyway. I called one tow company, but I called back for an ETA & got no response. I started calling someone else. John came and got my car started in less than a minute. He was very professional, kind, and passionate about his position in helping others. It was worth the under ten minutes wait!!! Thanks guys!!! Couldn’t have been fulfilled without the informative dispatcher. Statewide Towing and Recovery will be my go to.
