This place has improved significantly in the last couple years. Chris runs the floor and he clearly takes it seriously, and is very patient and friendly. They scrape the lot, which makes a big difference, and they have more machines than they used to which makes unloading faster. Prices comparable to other yards in the area.
Super friendly and kind people. Kinda sucks that they have a scale that isn't accurate. I have weighed my metals on 2 different scales before coming in.
Of the 2 visits I have made to this place I find that both times I have lost a significant amount of weight compared to when I weighed the metals at home.
Kinda sucks when a good chunk of your time goes to waste. I suggest they look into recalibration. I definitely feel cheated.
This place is just a big scam. Been here acouple of times last time I went I Brought 600lbs of stainless steel and they charged it as sheets of rolled iron. Definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone going here
Helpful guys, patient and friendly! Great attitude, even when we kept them a little late, in the rain, on a Friday, due to some trouble we ran into. Al is a surgeon with a skid loader.
Went to get rid of a few things from my garage and didn’t anticipate on the process being quick and easy as it was. GREAT customer service!!! Everyone was so helpful and knew their job. I can tell it’s teamwork amongst those men. Referred my father and he also , had a very friendly, easy process. The 1 hour drive was worth it! We both be visiting this yard again !
By far the best recycling place I've been to. Very friendly staff and very helpful. I personally won't go anywhere else but here from now on. Shout out to Chris and max for going above and beyond!
I’ve been to many scrapyards around SE Mich. and this is by far the cleanest facility I’ve ever seen. The staff was cordial and very approachable unlike most places where you’re made to feel unwelcome. Thank you to Max, Al and Chris for making my copper exchange pleasant and easy. Go Blue!
I’m an electrician and this is the only place I will go to return scrap wire. Today while I was returning wire, my box broke and Max saw and brought containers out to my car to help out. And when I got inside, Al was super quick and helpful and made sure I was getting the most money for my scrap. The guys are always very helpful and I would definitely recommend going here over anywhere else.
Good guys who are helpful and patient. I was pleasantly surprised every step of the way. I was only coming in to make sure batteries were properly disposed of, so I was sure the quantity I brought in would be a low-priority to them. They never made me feel like it though. I appreciate them being around to protect the environment from everything going in household trash. Thanks so much!
I can't say this yard is for everybody because I only know what matters to me. But I can say it's the only place I'll ever go, and I had been to plenty before making my way here. So decide what matters to you. If that's being treated politely and respectfully. If it's competitive prices, or in many cases higher prices. If it's proper and true weighing. If it's a tidy, well maintained area, then I CAN say this is your yard. Chris is the man. He's been great from day one. More than willing to explain process or educate about different metals and when or when not to take the time to separate them. He's been really informative. Dave's been there forever too, and he just works. Fill your bin, and look out, cuz he's grabbing it. With the addition of Max and Al (they've found the right guys), they're the perfect crew. And, you don't ever have to worry that your weight is being cut, or that they're trying to take advantage of you. I don't know what else you could want.

It was a great service to bring my scrap aluminum and copper to this location. They were helpful and help me process it quickly. Can I was able to cash out at their ATM.
I am so grateful of PADNOS Ann Arbor. Not only am I able to get some pocket change for scrap metal, but the customer service is always warm and friendly and so very helpful. Easy 5 stars!
I've been coming here for years Chris and Dave and the whole crew have been Great ive been to many different scrap yards in different cities and states this is by far the best. These guys are efficient and the whole place is clean don't have to worry about getting holes in your tires from scrap metal everywhere
We checked the hours of this particular location (PADNOS Ann Arbor, open Saturdays from 8-4:30) and called days in advance to make sure we wouldn't need an appointment or anything. We get to Saturday, load up a dump trailer full of metal and drive it over. No one is here. The website says they're open. The phone number rerouted to the Grand Rapids location, which is also closed. We now have a trailer full of metal and have wasted three hours of work.
Just on a random happenstance, I brought a ton of Romex wiring here because I figured there was so much, it was probably worth something from a house demo. Ended up bringing in 200lb of wiring and received about 135$.
Definitely worth it. I was a sinner before and now I'm found. Will continue to scrap during demos forsure.
Fantastic place! All the guys working there are friendly and beyond helpful! They gave me a hand unloading everything from my vehicle, respectfully joked around, and provided a price breakdown to make sure I agreed with what everything was worth.
Awesome! Scrapped an old '94 Honda. Picked it up, paid a very fair price and nice driver who laughed with me when I accidentally gave him the title copy and had to get the original off my printer! Process was simple, easy, and quick! Highly recommended for Lenawee County.
I've been coming here a few years now. The guys are always helpful and the prices are competitive. I would shy away from bringing big loads of steel here because they dont have a drive over scale and loading stuff into hoppers to then put on a smaller scale with a forklift is time consuming after you repeat the process a few times. But for copper, brass, aluminum, ACRs, rads, motors, wire, etc its my go to place.
First time taking metal. They were great!, walked me through the whole process. took almost everything I had. Explained the process and what they could take and what they didn't. left with a check! great place going back with more!
Always a great experience, have been dealing with Chris for many years, and consider him a friend. Fast quality service, plus they really know their stuff. Only place I will ever go to sell scrap metals.
Paid a fair price for various metals we'd accumulated while working on the house. I felt that they treated me well and didn't take advantage of the fact that I was a first time customer. Ended up with about $10, not a ton of money but definitely better than paying to take it to the dropoff center or putting it in the trash.
