Haven't had any work done because they denie you when you have your own parts straight from the Ford dealer so they upcharge you I'm assuming that's what I got from conversation... .
The best auto shop in the area by far. I will not go anywhere else. Trustworthy, honest, and tries their absolute best to find a solution to any problem that you may have. Customer service is top notch. Can’t say enough good things about Fonten-Auto and I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

Growing up I had a family of mechanics for all my auto repairs. As family retired and I moved farther away, I needed a reliable, knowledgeable mechanic. Always a fair price in a timely manner. From an oil change to the transmission I needed rebuilt, Ken is the mechanic you need!!
I am a college student at U of M - Dearborn commuting from Port Huron. My first car caught fire on the side of the highway and everything burned. Needing a quick vehicle so that I wouldn’t continue to miss class I bought a $1000 car from this place. The vehicle literally got me to class one day and stranded me my next class day. I took it back to Fontenot Auto to see what they could to to help. They told me the boss was on vacation for two weeks and when he got back they could help me. I couldn’t wait two weeks I was missing class and my grades are important to me. I went to the shop and got my car back and took it to Doug’s repair shop also on Lapeer St I believe. They gave me a $2500 estimate so I took it back to Fontenot Auto and planned to find 70 mile rides to school. Fontenot Auto told me that since I decided to take the car to get looked at by another shop they would not be helping me in any way. As the shop that sold me the piece of junk knowing I was in desperate need and hurting for cash as all my college supplies burned as well they were very rude and insulting. Was literally told my the boss when he got back that “I guess I was SOL.” This happened about 9 months ago, but heard about a friends bad experience there and had to finally give others a warning. PLEASE DON’T take your business here. They lack compassion and professionalism.
Took my car in for what I thought was going to be a huge, expensive problem. I was convinced and prepared to pay well over a thousand dollars. Rather than do the work I told them I thought I needed, Ken was honest and told me that was not the problem and I didn’t need to spend that much money. He fixed the issue AND a few other front end parts for less than $500! I could not appreciate the honest work more and highly recommend Ken and his shop!
The team of mechanics was able to identify and solve several issues on my vehicle. They called and addressed these issues with me and I told them to go ahead and fix the problems. My car sounds and rides great now. I will continue to take my car there and I will suggest to others to take there vehicles there.
I trust these guys and the front desk lady is wonderful always tells me what's wrong and fixes or diagnosis at a fair or reasonable price gotta love fonten auto

If I could zero I would! Left our car there to be fixed called to check up on it got the owners wife and when we questioned why they were fixing more than originally quoted got nasty put us on hold then came back and told us to come pick up the car. They left it tore apart on the side of the road missing parts!! Had to have it towed away and when we got there the owner got in our faces very unprofessional and not the way to run a business. They had seemed trustworthy before but after this incident I would say beware apparently the wifes "hurt" feelings get in the way of business.
Friendly service at fair prices. Having a BMW, I'm used to people charging a lot more to work on BMWs. These great people charge Ford prices on BMWs. They do about anything, do it quickly and do it right. Great place to go no matter what car you drive
Took my truck there for an electrical issue they changed my battery post cuppings for 45 dollars and said it was fixed needless to say that wasn't the issue and im still in limbo with them
