he said I don’t like your attitude go somewhere else

I said I’ll be taking to owner he said owner is never here so good luck hung up again………….

An Operator was not able to tow to a destination, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 11:30 PM.
Asked to tow to another destination, but he was stuck on that he can't help and wasn't even listening, that was crazy!!: )
My car broke down late at night on the side of the freeway and when I called to try to assess my options I was told to “Call in the morning” and promptly hung up on before I could finish.
Terrible customer service, red flags all over for this place. Got sworn at and hung up on when trying to describe my situation. Clearly no care for customer satisfaction.
This guy and company is a joke!!! Do not use. Tried to get a small tow 5 miles down the road, and this guy was highly unprofessional and hung up the phone in my face not once, but twice.
I've used this company for years without a problem. Today is absolutely the last time I will ever do business with them.
Unbelievably rude drivers. Charging 80 dollars to tow 3 miles is ridiculous!

They had terrible customer service. The man who answered the phone was rude right from the moment he said hello, he cut me off while I was talking, twice, and he wouldn't even give me a quote for towing unless I could tell him exactly how many miles. Id rather pay a little extra for a company that actually deserves it.
I used to like dons towing the service was awesome but now not so much the customer service was terrible and he was rude to so i definitely got to preferred towing!
These people illegally tow vehicles by not having proper paperwork signed and/or not calling police dispatch to verify status prior to hooking. Then drastically overcharge.
Awful the owner Jeff was very unprofessional and rude also was a liar. told use one price then when I told him it was an illegal tow he said screw me and it cost almost 500 dollars to get vehicle out of impound DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM
They were quick, friendly, and professional. They picked my car up within 35 minutes of the initial call...keep in mind that my broken down car was 25 minutes away from Don's Towing HQ.
If I could rate a zero..I feel a 1 is too deserving for this tow company! My daughter was in a bad car accident so Don's towing was called. They were ask to take the car to my daughter's place a 1/16th of a mile away and he towed it all the way to port Huron to his business. We were rushing home from Alabama so we could be with our daughter. Our son was there so he wanted to be helpful and get her vehicle home so we didn't have to worry about it. Even though we explained our situation and offered to email a copy of our drivers license they refused to let him pick it up charging us more because they would close before we reached port Huron. The police said the tow was $80 but when we got there the next day they said $500. This company takes advantage of people in grim situations. Not the company I would ever recommend!!! Don't call Don's Towing unless you like being taken advantage of!!!!!
Unfortunately this is AAAs primary towing company here. Everytime I've used them they are horrible. They said they would be at my vehicle between 9-11 am and they didn't show up until close to 1 o'clock. Cost me way to much money.
My tire blew out. AAA said it would be about an hour before someone could get to me. Jeff pulled up in less than 15 minutes. He greeted me with a smile. He took my flat tire off, put the donut on and was concerned it needed more air before I drove home for 30 minutes on it. He had me follow him to a gas station where he used his own money at the air pump because I was flat broke. He listened to my horrible day while he changed my tire and smiled the whole time. Before I left the gas station, I asked if I could hug him because he was just incredibly sweet. Thank you Jeff. You went over and above and I truly appreciate you. Have a great night! - Michelle.
Don's gave my car to a towing company without my release. I have clear title and own the vehicle with no leins. Was taken to Don's because I had been in a pretty severe accident. Girl at counter acted like no big deal. Don't ever let them tow your vehicle.
Outstanding service! Car would not start and everyone from dispatch to the driver was very courteous and professional. Very impressed with this business and their team.
I honestly think they're a great company! Amazing people work there and they're always kind and patient with you. There's one specific gentlemen who's helped me a few times and he was such a sweetheart and was moving fast and was extremely patient with me, his name was William I believe. I still to this day appreciate him and I'm very thankful for his help.
Once they found out I was a woman stranded they buried up, came right out and helped me change my tire. Only took about 5 - 10 minutes for the tire change once the guy got to my location. Highly recommend! Thanks guys!
Outstanding service! Twice now, Don's has come out of their service area to help me with a flat after both AAA and OnStar left me stranded for hours with no help in sight. From now on, I'm calling them first, they're clearly the best!
AAA failed to call Don's and resulted in a 2+ hour wait. I decided to call Don's myself and they were there within 10 minutes! I am VERY impressed and pleased with Don's customer service. Not so much with AAA....
Very bad problem with misplacing paperwork that was signed for insurance company to get my car out of their yard. Had to go back and fill out more paperwork then when the insurance company called they were told that the guy had to talk to his manager to make sure it could be released. NEVER USE THEM!!!
I have used Dons several times for towing my vehicles home. Twice I was stranded in my ram crew cab long bed dually and once in my lifted crew cab long bed Silverado. And of course my trucks where never in an east LT spot to get to or load onto the tow truck, but the drives all showed up fast and got the job done great. I will always use and recommend Dons towing. Great company, great drivers, great service!
Horrible experience!! Locked my keys in my car and had to use them to open my car.. Not only did it take 45mins to get to me they bent my door refused to return my many phone calls.. Stating the manager Hailey wasnt ever in and " Its touch and go with her" Highly discourage anyone from using them.. Very unfriendly and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!
Called AAA and Dons showed up. The driver was early, was professional, and took extreme caution not to damage my truck (even though it was a clapped out beater) 10/10
They will take advantage of you at your weakest moment.
In fairness I haven't dealt with other tow companies, but this can't POSSIBLY be the standard for doing business.
I had an accident where my car was destroyed, undrivable, scrap metal. Don's Towing was assigned and what a mistake! They towed my car and within 24 hours my junk car cost me $570 to retrieve.
$70 for 2 days (but somehow less than 24 hours there)
$25 to type in my car's info to their computer
$225 For the accident tow
$80 to let another company through the gate to retrieve
$125 clean up - arguably much was already done by fire department before any tow truck arrived
$45 battery disconnect - already done by fire department
They "generously" offered to charge me $375 for them to keep my car for themselves AND then sell it to a scrap yard for more profit.
Funny, the scrap yard is paying me $350 plus they picked it up from this place. Obviously this all still cost money but I got a way better deal by having another towing company finish the transaction.
In short, while you're disoriented from an accident that almost takes your family, be sure the first thing you do is say no to Don's Towing.
So I will recommend Don's to anyone! After getting a flat on the highway. I got to meet the two nicest guys. I am sorry for forgetting their name. One was training and the other one was a kid with glasses. They made my bad situation into an amazing experience! Thank you guys for your hospitality and making my bad day into a good one! Thank you Dons towing for everything!
