Have been here multiple time now. They have a great system for making sure everything you bring gets accounted for correctly, and you don’t feel lost when pulling in the yard. Good explanations from employees about what grades each metals are, where to go in the yard, and a breakdown of your final receipt. Friendly office staff as well. 10/10.
Best prices in the area, I called everyone around. Exceptional service-I called for a price on a particular type of uncommon wire, and Rifkin was the only one who took the time to determine what it was, and call me back- with the best price. Highly recommend.
I will not ever go back to this place again, they rip people off Big time!!!!! My friend and I both went in there with steel and rotors and cast iron wood stove, and they tell us to put it in the sheet iron pile, no not the proper place for that material.....
People are nice for being a scrap yard. They work with you helping you sort things you. And if they have the time they will check the yard for things that could take out of a tire. I was at the barn and i got 150.00 for the stuff i took end.and i watched them looking on the ground to get the stuff that might take out a tire.
Difficult to work with, won't split weight when you need it split with partners who you scrap with. Pays less for metals and alloys. Treats you as if your beneath them and they are very rude and disrespectful. I will always suggest anyone who scraps in the Saginaw area to take all of their business to Clinkstons and Sons. They are far better in all the previously stated areas of unprofessionalism.
Walked in with my mask on but missed the sign that said "1 person in the office at a time" and got yelled at by the lady at the desk talking about "wait out there !" Her eyes looked like they were going to pop out of their sockets. Jeez.. is that how you treat people. How rude. I waited outside for a minute and just left and went to the other scrap yard 7 minutes away. Yall gotta do better as far as customer service skills go.
Haven't been to a lot of scrap yards but I can say this is the friendliest most professional one I've visited. Staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very eager to assist. The facility was newer and well maintained for scrap yard standards. Overall a very good experience.
They think it's cool they tell you lunch break is over in 3-5 minutes while you sit there half hour, office lady and Yard employee both said to me so check the schedule
It was great. In the past I would go to Higgins in Breckenridge because it was closer. Rifkin was fantastic. The gentleman than unloaded my trailer very very helpful. He even separated my sheet metal from the heavy metal. It was fun. Can't wait to go back again.
Had my truck picked up and scrapped through Rifkin Saginaw. They beat the prices of local yards and also picked up the truck. Friendly and helpful staff. I Would recommend.
