I was a camp counselor here back in June of 99, and I had the old cabin right in front of the lake. I had the oldest campers, it was fun watching the kids laugh and play. I was only a counselor for the first half of the season then I went off to the Marine Corp. Good memories
Best summers ever here!! Wish i could turn back time when it come to this place. 20 years ago seems unreal. Will always remember the songs and i loved church and singing. Highly recommend!!!
Impromptu after season visit to see if I could catch the Northern Lights. Thanks to the group already there who let our group of 3 stay the night. Nice cabins and facilities.
I live across the road from it and all you hear all day is the children and staff having fun. They do alot for the kids there to insure it is an experience that they'll remember and cherish.
I started going to Camp Lu Lay Lea when I was 8, my mom went when she was younger and both my sisters went too. We all loved it, this is my 7th summer at Camp, and my first on staff. I fell in love with this place almost instantly, and it always makes me feel closer to God. If you have a kid age 8-14 they should definitely go. For older kids, fill out an application by the new year, and you could be a part of an amazing group of staff members!
I went there for one summer as a camper and am working there this summer. It was an amazing experience that changed my life! I wish would've gone for at least 3 summers before!
As a camper I spent the best week of my summer at camp every year. It is a wonderful place with an amazing atmosphere. I can't recommend this camp enough for children aged 8-14.
I was bullied by the other kids and staff.. No one stuck up for me when they were being mean.. I got things stolen and never gotten anything back. I was made fun of and pushed down and kicked in the sand.everyone just stopped and watched. I was wrongly accused. I was embarrassed and it has scarred my confidence to this day.. Thanks a lot lu lay Lea.. You really helped my childhood.. Not..
