Very honest and good communication! Would definitely recommend coming here if you have any car issues! I had my wheel bearing, 2 tires, front sway bar links, serpentine belt all replaced within 2 days of dropping my car off. They did an amazing job and my car drives perfectly fine now!
I was very happy with their service and they kept me informed every step of the way even went out of their way to make sure I had a good experience. I will definitely use them in the future if I have problems. And they have good coffee while you wait! Lol
Recently moved to Pentwater from Grand Rapids area and have been looking for a local competent shop to service our recently purchased Mazda CX5, and ultimately our Chevy Colorado . After our first service, impressed with the shop facility, staff, state of the art communications and billing.
I purchased an older RV that needed a fair amount of work done on it. The crew at Mears are top-notch mechanics and service people. I am very happy with all of the work they did.
We took our motorhome to Mears Service Center in preparation to head out west. Steve and Barry were kind, courteous and very helpful. If we need additional services, we will be back!
They took the time to test drive my vehicle well before I had an appointment. Diagnosed my issue, fixed it, reviewed other issues and didn’t pressure me to spend more. I’ll be back in the spring to replace my tires. Thanks.
We broke down because of a fuel pump in our truck, we were pulling a camper and alot closer to our campground than to home. They made sure to get the needed parts and to fix our truck in the fastest way possible. We knew we were in good hands when several locals confirmed so. Thanks Mears Service Center for helping to turn what started out as a disastrous vacation in to one with a happy, safe ending!!
I only went here expecting to get breaks and some other stuff done. After they took a closer look, they found issues that I was not fully aware of. They went above and beyond to get my car back on the road safely. Yes, I am aware there are are shady auto workers out there, yet they are not those types of people. If want your car done right, see them. If you want to fix the bare necessities aka bandaid, then go elsewhere. I have some other items that need taken care of and I will make sure to bring my car back to them. Thank you soooooo much for your help.
I was extremely pleased with the work MSC did on my truck. I had previously gone to the dealer, and after $6000 of work they still had no idea what could fix my truck. Mears Service Center was able to diagnose and fix the issue right away. Great customer service, great mechanics.
This is a great place to get your car or truck serviced or repaired. They are a old family owned and operated Business that take good care of there customers. They know what there doing and get it done professionally. I will be back
Had a dangerous gasoline leak. Repair was quicker than expected and explained clearly. Cost was very reasonable. Five stars all around, great job guys.
Update Nov 2024 - The only business I trust to work on my RV. Drive from Detroit to get him serviced. See you in the Spring! TY.
Update June 2024: I needed Express B service and brought him back. Mears will be my RVs caretaker as long as I can drive the four hours to get him there. Mears is timely, reliable and honest.
Review from 2023 - I was having a hard time finding a place to do a front end alignment on my RV. Another garage in Ludington referred me to them.
Mears Service to the rescue. Super courteous, clean garage.
Reasonable price, as quoted. Checked all tires and did a minor repair without charge. Returning RV same day as promised too.

The folks at Mears Service Center are always willing to quickly help repair all problems. Yesterday it took only 17 minutes from the time I walked in till exiting. My left turn signal will again help keep me safe. Thanks guys. 😃
I took my truck in due to a rear end issue and they were very quick to let me know what was wrong, and a price to fix it. They got it done very fast and it’s good to go! If I can’t fix it my self I bring everything to them and have been very good to me and will always bring everything to them.
Quality work. Friendly professional staff. Prices are a bit high, same as the Chevy dealership in price. So, you're not saving any money but they can usually get you in within a week.
I hate to leave a bad review but we’ve had a terrible experience. We bought four tires from them and we’re supposed to get a $75 rebate which we never got even when we asked multiple times afterward. Then one of the tires went flat on trip to Ohio and we brought the tire all the way back and brought it in. They said they would look into what they could do for us and they never did a thing. I think they were just waiting for us to stop following up so they wouldn’t have to. This is a super expensive shop and it it’s evident to me that you will never get rebate money or will they honor any tire warranty. I would not recommend mears service center.
Barry was very considerate in fitting me in the schedule to fix my punctured tire. Barry and Steve and the whole staff were friendly and professional. The price for the tire repair was very reasonable.
We will be bringing our cars to Mears in the future.

I took my skid steer in. The auxiliary hydraulics were not working. They kept me informed every time something changed or had progress. They never left me in the dark about what they were doing. This is normal practice for them. I highly recommend them. I have taken multiple trucks and trailers to have repaired here, honestly there isn’t anywhere else I will go. It’s a bit of a drive for me but 1,000% worth it. There’s no trying to sell me something that isn’t broke. They will show me anything else they see that needs to be repaired with detailed pictures and give me an estimate for how much to fix it. They don’t pressure me to fix things that can go longer. They seem like they’re not out to make a quick buck on me. And for that they made a life time customer with me. I will be recommended them when ever I can.
Update: I don’t want to delete my previous post so I will just add to this one. I took my electric scissor lift in with some electrical issues. They alway tell me what they found in detail, I feel like I never get over charged there and I only pay for what they did. This is still the only place I take anything I own to if I can fix it! I still only recommend them 💯
5/10/24 some reason I can’t make a new review. So I will just update this one again. I took my camper in, lights flickering, electric jack would work half the time, and a few more issues. They got me in fast, let me know everything along way. I only use Mears service center when I can’t do it my self. I can’t express it enough how much I appreciate them over there.
Very good customer service and all of my requests for balancing the trailer tires and saving my tire caps for the TPMS sensors were followed. The only reason I did not give them 5 Stars is due to the time it took to get the camper tires installed (3 hours) even though I had an appointment. That delayed us starting our 4 hour drive home. Everything else was top notch and I would definitely go there again if I was on that side of the state.
