Doug was great on the phone earlier in the day and very accommodating. When we got there later in the day to have our battery serviced he was ready to go and got us in and out quickly. It’s not very often you get service like that anymore and we just wanted Doug to know we appreciate him and what an asset he is the the company.

Great customer service! We needed a battery for out 2019 Equinox on July 4th. Advance Auto Parts was open, had the battery available, AND were willing to install the battery at no charge. Douglas was especially amazing!
We drove to South Lyon to pick up a trailer and we needed a smaller ball than what we originally thought. Drove up right as one employee, Daryl, was leaving because they were closed. We asked him where we would pick one up in the area. He backed his truck up, went inside and made sure we had it. His whole demeanor over the entire interaction was super friendly and helpful. Great personality for a business to have on their team!!!

Wow - have never been so impressed! Darrel installed a battery on my niece's used car that she had just purchased. She hadn't even been able to drive the car because the battery wouldn't hold a charge, and we were concerned maybe she had been totally ripped off...? The seller finally provided a replacement battery, but no one else would install it, because we had not purchased it. After Darrel installed the battery free of charge (which took extra time - he had to remove the tire), when he saw how concerned we were about the car, he ran all sorts of diagnostics so that we knew if anything else needed to be done to the car. Then when I went into the store to grab some anti-freeze, etc. Josie found me a coupon for my purchases. Thanks Darrel at Advance for seeing the long game! I'm recommending them to everyone!!
Still my #1 auto parts store for remanufactured auto electrical hardware. The best selection of synthetic oil and grease. Bar None. Prices tend to be higher than Autozone.
Apparently the manager is too lazy to update their hours online which there's most definitely a way for them to do that. I walked up there from my house only to find temporary hours and they closed at 7:00 when they're supposed to close at 9:00 wouldn't really matter if they actually updated Google and their website I would say to look for a new manager that will keep up on that stuff so their customers aren't walking up there for no reason. They gave me an oil change kit that they said was an exact fit for my truck when it only came with five quarts and my truck takes 7 quarts not sure how that's an exact fit. Again I blame management somebody behind the counter should have told me I would need two more quarts then I never would have walked up there for nothing in the first place.
Trever educated me quickly and simply on the best deals for windshield wipers, he grabbed the correct ones for me, and installed them for me in below freezing weather. The whole time being very pleasant, while also assisting his coworker, who seemed kind of new. 5 stars are purely for the customer service.
The child that helped us was way to privileged to even give us help without rolling his eyes and never finished chewing his food while talking. If you don't want to be approached while on your lunch don't stand at the front counter ready to help. Will never go back to this store ever again.

Man I love this place. I took my car to the Jeep dealership for a check engine light. They asked me to leave it overnight and it would be $130 for a diagnostic. My dad reminded me that Advance does free basic diagnostics for check engine codes and that will get you in the ball park.
Well I take it in and see Shawn aka Lunchbox and Gary who have helped me with golf carts and he even put in my headlight!!!
Anyway they hooked me up and it was a P0440 Evaporative Emmissions Error. I basically just had to rescrew my gas cap or get a new one!!!! Can you believe it???

Always someone there to help you find what you need along with a great price. Normally my #2 in town I find myself coming here first more often lately. These guys do a great job.
I always got good service until the last time I went. I was so upset, I went to Auto Zone instead. Thanks to an older man, over weight, with thick glasses and an awfully rude attitude didn't want to help me at all. I left quietly to never return. I don't want to see him ever again. I was a regular customer.
The prices were so incredibly reasonable that i will now make this my auto parts store from now on. My power steering pump went and i got it here brand new with 2 quarts of power steering fluid should have been 89.11 with a discount it came to 59.11 and than i returned the old part for the core which was 17.00 so my new pump and fluids cost me a total of 39.11 what a deal.

I purchased a air con kit from these folks and when I got back home I realized that the canister had been used! When I took it back they refused to replace it, refund it and were even rude to me.
I immediately drove the short distance to O'Reilly's and purchased a kit that worked and was advised about where the filler was for the vehicle I was working on and received top notch service. What a contrast.
The folks are Advance may be good for the company based parts supply but the ones that I dealt with (including the manager) are not good for the general public, I have been in service related industries all of my working life and I was disgusted, they may as well of flipped me off to my face.
If I could give them zero stars I would.
