If you're looking for a new mechanic, I would look no further. I brought my car here after getting an estimate from my longtime mechanic that I didn't feel comfortable with. Not only did this shop save me hundreds of dollars, the work was completed in less than 24 hours from the time I discovered they even existed! Plus, the owner could have charged me extra for a problem that occurred during the repair, but he chose not to! Royal Oak Auto Service will definitely be my go-to shop from now on. They definitely know how to take care of their customers.
I had a very good experiences and was informed of what was going bad and educated on what they’ll be fixing! They were able to figure out the issue and fix it the same day!

Amazing mechanic and staff. I first came to the shop a few months back for having an ignition coil replaced and they did an awesome job.
Last week, I broke my serpentine belt and I did not hesitate to come back and of course, they did a phenomenal service.

First time coming to this auto shop and I was very pleased with my experience! They got us in right at the start of the day and had all the repairs done before they closed that same day. The pricing was much better than what the dealership quoted me for the same things (almost 50% cheaper overall!). I will definitely be using this shop as my go to for all future repairs and maintenance.
Had no appointment and needed a full brake replacement and oil change… They had the vehicle back and ready within 24 hours. Price was very reasonable and they were perfectly communicative throughout the process. Highly recommend, we will be back for any future needs!

I took my car in for an inspection They were fast and efficient. They ended up recommending me to a different place because they couldn't offer the services that I needed. However, they were very kind and did not charge me for the inspection. I really appreciate that! If I actually need any services that they provide I will definitely come back here.
I finally found out why my check engine light was coming on. They diagnosed all was ok and cleaned the cc. It's been over one week and the light has not returned. Even if It does, I have peace of mind knowing it's not an emergency and my car is running well. The sensors, I learned, are very sensitive. My car is 10 years old with only 71,000 miles. I love it and want to keep it. Thank you for your honesty and work!

5 stars. Royal Oak Auto Care brought my mom’s old Prius back to life. Adel (owner) treated it like family—no games, straight talk, more than fair price. They put in a new battery, new struts, and cleaned the ventilation system top to bottom after squirrels turned it into a pantry, and more. The car feels practically new now. I’d drive across Michigan to use this shop, but I'mlucky they’re right up the street in Royal Oak. If you want to be able to say “I got a guy” for your car, start taking it to Royal Oak Auto Care on 11 Mile Road. Old-school integrity, real craftsmanship, and they go above and beyond.

Fixed my ac compressor quickly when another shop had already failed twice. Great service and great front desk attendant.
Edit: The compressor worked all summer, but wouldn’t start up after the winter season. I took it back in, he found the problem and replaced the compressor with no charge. Amazing how honest and fair this car shop is. Really earned their stellar reputation.
When my mechanic died I was crushed! It’s nearly impossible to find one that is honest and does exceptional work. I literally was without one for over 3 years!
I was so fortunate to find Royal Oak Automotive! I’ve been going to them for over a year now (ever since I got a used Toyota with over 120k miles) and I’ll never go anywhere else!
They do amazing work, are very timely, and their prices are incredibly reasonable. They really care about their customers as if they were family.
On the one occasion I had a problem after having work done on the car it turned out to be a faulty part (not an issue with the work done). Not only did they replace the faulty part and fix the problem FREE OF CHARGE, they also topped off the oil AND told me if it happened again to bring it back and they’d fix it at no charge! Talk about going above and beyond!!!! I never got that kind of service without having to put up a fight.
I love that I can drop it off after hours and be completely confident that my car is going to be properly taken care of.
They are the absolute best!
