Byers is the best tow service I’ve ever used. I called 3 separate tow companies to flatbed my vehicle. Each of them estimated their arrival time to be 1.5-2 hours. Byers, however, told me 20 minutes and got to my car in 10 mins flat! My car was delivered so quickly and without issue!

I don't think $315 was unreasonable, at all, to haul a full size SUV 40 miles on a flatbed wrecker.
Eric came within the promised 30 mins. He did an excellent job and even looked at my engine to see if he could help with my car problems. Eric had great customer service and did a good job handling my car (without power steering) to align it well for towing so there wasn't complications. I highly recommend this company, just because of his service and how fast he was able to come. The price was comparable to other companies.
Car broke down on a Saturday afternoon and told me 30 minutes for a tow and ended up being over an hour. Driver took his time, talked with people around him, and clearly felt I was not a priority as my car sat in the middle of a parking lot. Then, I call the dealership it was towed to and they cannot find my car. Come to find out, they dropped my car, threw the keys in it, and left.... Left it unlocked all weekend as well. Very disappointed and so unprofessional that they left the keys in my car all weekend.
Good service from both their customer service / desk and the drivers. Provided advanced notice when they couldn't keep the original reserved time. Arrived promptly at the rescheduled time.

My car tire went kaplooey on M-59 this morning. I called Byer's and had a great experience. Brian was quick and efficient and so kind. I feel like the rate was reasonable and I was able to get to where I needed with no issue.
Called pretty late at night and Eric came by asap, one of the nicest guys I’ve had the pleasure to talk to. Extremely personable and professional. My car was pretty much buried in snow and he dug it out and made 0 complaints. If I could give him 6 stars I would.
These guys are the real deal. True Professionals They had to upright one of our excavators and they did a better job than I would have expected with ZERO damage. They went above and beyond. Can’t speak highly enough of them and will only use them moving forward.

This place is full of dishonest people. Not only did I have phone chargers stolen from my car, but I was also charged an outrageous $600 to retrieve my vehicle after it had been towed for less than 10 minutes!
It’s disheartening to see such unethical practices, and I can’t help but feel that there’s something shady going on with the police involvement as well.

I got into an accident in June of 23 and Byers towed my truck to their lot (first and second pic). When I went to pick it up the day after the hold was released it’s missing the front Iron cross bumper, 4 front bilstein shocks, front driveshaft, ridgid and Milwaukee tools, diesel VTX tuner, edge 2 monitor, and numerous other things that were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. About 7k worth of parts and tools. Guy in the front said they must have been stolen at night. So the numerous cameras, spot lights, and alarm and no one noticed a 7ft, 350lb steel bumper going over an 8’ barb wire fence? So what’s the point of a security system then? My 45 dollar home camera sends me a notification if a bee flys by the camera! Liars and thieves. Probably won’t do any good but filed a police report anyway. Steer clear of Byers at any cost or you may be replacing a lot of valuable parts and personal belongings once you get your vehicle back. And you may end up with some deer skulls in a bucket in the back that don’t belong to you also. DO NOT USE BYERS AT ALL COSTS!
EDIT…….. the owner did call and apologize for the mix up. I understand them covering all their basis but this still doesn’t explain why the office staff has to be so rude and unprofessional.
I delt with Sharon and to say the least she is a miserable human being. I spoke with her on the phone about an impounded vehicle of one of our customers. We are a local buy here, pay here dealership, and the vehicle is in our name also as we do a lease program. With that being said, our business name is on the title and the registration. I sent my 83-year-old drivers to pick up the vehicle in Rochester had all the paperwork she requested while I was on the phone with her in the morning by the afternoon she had changed her mind and said that the repossession letter needed to be notarized. By now it was too late to get that done and return for the original fee. I guess she’s really desperate for that extra $35 that she’s going to charge us. We get several cars out of impound lots every year and this is the only impound lot we ever have a problem with the, city of Auburn Hills needs to find a new tow company because this one sucks.
Ive been in customer service now for close to 20 years I've seen it all. Never in my life could I imagine being as rude, unprofessional, sarcastic, and underhanded as Sharon. Im not sure what crawled up inside her and died, but good lord this woman needs some help. Trying to get a vehicle off their lot and refuses to accept the appropriate paperwork. The power trip is real. Stay far away from this tow yard if you can help it. It's amazing someone as unprofessional and rude as Sharon can keep her job still after all the negative reviews and complaints i see on here. Either the owner is completely hands off or doesn't care about his business. Please send prayers for Sharon so she can get the help she needs. Maybe we all can chip in and donate funds for therapy or anger management courses. 0/5 stars. Would never recommend. Good luck in your endeavors and have a blessed day.
AMAZING company. Especially if you are from out of town or a women and do not want to be taken advantage off. I was stuck in a small amount of mud. They responded in a very quick manner, and was able to drive the car out. Their price was very fair and appropriate. Another unethical company represented themselves as being in Rochester, however, they are based out of Pontiac and quoted me $310.00 I called Byers, and the lady was so friendly and kind and quoted me $75.00 and that is exactly what I was charged. I can't thank them enough as I am from out of town on vacation. Please use this company. Thank you for being such an honest companhy.
Today my tire on my 2002 Chevy Blazer exploded on Letica Rd and Kris the tow truck driver arrived in less than 25 minutes and took me to Firestone tire in Downtown Rochester to get my tire repaired. Super nice and chill guy. Outstanding service today. A plus service and generosity. Will definitely use again if I get a flat tire.
Needed a tow when my sons pickup broke down. Called Byers in Rochester knowing that they were the closest to my location. Dispatcher was very pleasant and friendly, she said they would be to me in a half an hour. Only waited 25 minutes and Ryan was at my location ready to help. Ryan was friendly and personable and did a great job loading the vehicle taking care not to damage it. When we got back to my house he was able to drop the vehicle exactly where I asked him to without causing any damage to my yard or concrete. Price was very reasonable. Will definitely call Byers if I need a tow in the future. Kudos to Ryan! Keep up the great work!
When it was time to get the truck back on the road for my son, Byers showed up in 20 min, and the driver was beyond polite and personable. 224,000 miles and I feel good about Ol' Red's first time on a flatbed. Seriously, call these folks and you won't be disappointed.
Had the opportunity to ride with the owner yesterday and was impressed by the amount of great equipment and knowledge of his team. They have the correct equipment for any towing or recovery job you may have. I’ve been in the towing industry for over 25 years myself and was very impressed.
My car decided to blow an air line 30 miles away from home. Even though the car was practically laying frame on the side of a 75 on ramp, the drivers for Byers were able to load it without issue. The care and ingenuity they showed won’t be forgotten. Never had a bad experience with them, but this one was special.
If I could put 10 stars I would! My insurance company sent a tow truck company from Southgate Michigan to Auburn Hills to assist me because me and my sons vehicle was stuck in the ditch (he slid off and I tried to assist). Mr.Byers pulled up like a man sent by God! He schooled the rookie that initially showed up. Mr.Byers laid down some flashing hazard lights and promptly got us on our way!
We were up in Flint Michigan picking up a load with our box truck and enclosed trailer. Something happened with the front axle spindle assembly, and our truck was no longer drive-able. Unfortunately, none of the shops in the area could repair the truck for us, and we ultimately had no choice but to have it towed all the way back to Indiana, which was 3 hours away from where we were. We called around to a few places, and nobody was willing to tow us. Finally we reached out to Byers down in Rochester. They agreed to do the tow for us all the way back to Indiana. Due to the height of the box truck, this was a unique situation, but they came through for us. The main man Bill Byers came out and made this happen! Very down to earth guy. If we're ever in another sticky situation up in the greater Detroit area and need help, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in a heartbeat. The price they charged us was very reasonable as well. Highly recommended!
Quick response, fair rate. Would've given 5 stars if I hadn't been immediately bombarded by requests for ratings from two different numbers, before I'd thawed out enough to drive home.
Simply needed a boost, after leaving lights on for 40 minutes on a 20 degree day. Driver was friendly, knowledgeable, and got me going less than 5 minutes after arriving. $25-$45 charge is what I expected based on living in Virginia last few years, $50 not bad for Detroit metro area.
Chose Byers based on Google rating and the fact that they were closest to my location. Would definitely use them again if needed.
Just cool it with the follow up, hey? Allow 90 minutes for a person to feel human again and express their appreciation, instead of irritating the sh*t out of him while he's trying to get back on schedule.

Let me start by saying that I have never given a google review before. I understand that many people use reviews to find services, and the last thing I want to do is hurt a good businesses rating because of one bad experience. If i could rate Byers based on service I would give them a 5. If i could rate them on value I would give them a 1. My wife and about 20-30 other moms were stuck on the grass at the local elementary school in Rochester the other day. It had rained for three days straight so they were all able to pull into the flat grassy overflow parking area just as they normally do. Long story short, Byers had 5 or so trucks there in a heartbeat to pull out the cars at about 5-10 minutes per car. The service was friendly. My issue is that each person was charged $75. I am all about being an opportunist when it comes to business, but $75 per car seems a bit excessive. I am not saying to not use them. Just know that they aren't trying to be affordable.
Dispatcher was polite and understanding. The estimated time of arrival was 9:51. It actually arrived 10 minutes earlier!
Our driver, Ray, was fantastic. Ray was quick, professional and knowledgeable. He was also very kind and patient (I was a bit flustered). His kindness and humanity was unexpected and appreciated.
All and all the experience with Byers Wrecker Service was pleasant, of high quality work and standards. I would recommend Byers to everyone. I always trust my car to them and their contact is even saved in my phone.

Easy to make an appointment for pickup. Super courteous on the phone. Driver was prompt, EXACTLY on time. Got the car up quickly and efficiently, got me to the repair shop quickly. Parked the car for me and ran the keys into me while I was waiting to talk to someone at the shop. Highly recommend Byers!
