Had a pretty interesting situation happen with this company where I was told I was out my money and parts by customer service I complained in the right places and someone from corporate reached out and gave me a full refund. Made things right like customer service should have done. Over all satisfied with they way they handled things and the parts I received from a different order.

I bought slotted and drilled rotors for my 2012 f150 platinum back in September of 2025. Heard grinding and found that the pads they sold with the rotor kit failed and tore up my rotor. Called and they stated they're under warranty and will send out a new kit for free but I have to pay another $83 for shipping to have the new ones shipped to me. Ridiculous!!! Will never order from them again!! Poor customer service!!

Good pricing, terrible customer service. Order an alternator online on a Sunday. Needed it asap so I emailed their customer service to see if I could drive down to pick it up instead. Received an email back at 6:32am Monday from ‘Frank’ stating I could pick it up and he provided me with the address for pickup. Drove 2+ hours in a snow storm to get there and was told by the rude cashier that they couldn’t give me an online order and it had to be shipped. I explained their customer service department told me I could, she got the manager who said I could pick it up there I just needed to call their customer service number and they needed to provide him with authorization for me to pick it up. Talked to their customer service on the phone and explained it all, this gentleman told me it was not possible at all and that ‘Frank’ was wrong for telling me that. He offered me 10% off my next online order for the mistake. I canceled the online order, placed an order in person and had to drive another 30 minutes to the warehouse to pick it up. Total of 5 1/2 hours of driving and dealing with this to pay ~$20 more for a part that they did not have to ship to me… the 10% next order discount was a joke. Will use Rock Auto moving forward. Same great prices and great customer service.

DO NOT BUY ONLINE FROM THIS STORE, A-PREMIUM WORK WAY BETTER AND THEY ACTUALLY HAVE REAL COSTUMER SERVICE, I ORDER A SIMPLE PART LIKE A FUEL PUMP AFTER 5 DAYS THEY DIDNT EVEN TOOK THE PART TO THE COURIER AND MAKE ME WASTE A LOT OF TIME,AFTER CALLING ON THE PHONE SOMEONE ANSWER 30 MINS AFTER CALLING NAD THEY SAID THEY CANT DO NOTHING BUT WAIT FOR HE SYSTEM TO AUTOCANCEL THE ORDER AND IT WOULD TAKE AROUND 4-5 DAYS...THIS IS THE WORST STORE IN USA BY FAR

Great that they have good prices and parts available.
However their shipping team is a freaking joke. Ordered my parts Friday morning…LAST WEEK. Got notification that the parts shipped Sunday evening. Great! Nope, it was a FLAT OUT LIE. The parts as of 3pm today (1-29-26) are still sitting in the warehouse despite call center (who are great, aside from what guy with a real nasty attitude), attempts to expedite and confirmation that the parts are indeed in stock.
I was told several times that the warehouse is “working on it”, and that the parts would ship “this afternoon” or “this morning” or “tomorrow morning first thing” or “will be delivered tomorrow”. Yet as of this review the parts still sit in the warehouse. The call center employee with the bad attitude claimed “I don’t know if you know this, but there was a snowstorm”
Yes I am aware. But the storm was Monday morning. Every single delivery service was delivering that very afternoon and each day since. I was really happy when I ordered my parts but now this has been an absolute joke and I will not be returning as a customer.

After nearly a month, I am finally receiving only a partial refund for my return. Initially, I was told I could only receive store credit because the return was allegedly outside the return window. However, I shipped the return shortly after the return was initiated, and the delay was due to FedEx taking approximately two weeks to deliver the package.
Now the company is only offering a partial refund on the basis that the part was “damaged”—even though the item arrived damaged, which was one of the stated reasons for the return, and it was never installed or used. After paying approximately $230, I am receiving about $90 back, and I was also charged shipping and a restocking fee that was not clearly disclosed during the return process.
I attempted multiple times to resolve this through customer service and requested escalation, but escalation was refused. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company.

Decided to try because of local and price. Ended up being a large headache. They sent me the wrong parts (and damaged), told me I ordered the wrong parts (no good way to verify that), and then made me pay to send it back. Wanted to support local but will have to go big chain now. Super disappointed. Customer service wasn’t rude but definitely not professional (short, quick to blame, cutting off when trying to explain the issue - took us three tries to get there). Wouldn’t advise ordering anything, definitely go to them in person.Jan 16, 2026 -
Brutally Honest Review – Don’t Waste Your Money
I ordered brake pads and rotors for both my Toyota and my Acura about three months ago. That decision turned out to be a huge mistake.
Toyota order:
They shipped me the wrong parts. I contacted them immediately, and instead of fixing it quickly, they demanded serial numbers, part numbers, photos, and endless emails — even though they have a physical location in Detroit. Customer service is basically useless because everything has to go through email, and their response time is painfully slow. By the time you finally get answers, your return window has conveniently expired.
I even called, and all I got was the runaround. If you have an online store and a physical location, returns should be simple — but no. They put you through a full “investigation” like you’re trying to scam them. Bottom line: I never got my refund.
Acura order:
I installed the brake pads and rotors around the same time. Fast forward three months, and the brakes and rotors already need to be replaced again. That’s unacceptable. These parts are clearly low quality and not built to last.
I spent over $200 on parts, plus paid someone to install them — only to now pay all over again to redo the job. That’s money completely wasted.
Final advice:
If you actually care about your vehicle, do not buy parts from this place. Cheap parts end up being the most expensive mistake. Spend a little more at reputable auto parts stores that offer lifetime warranties on brakes and rotors. You’ll save money, time, and frustration in the long run.
This was my first mistake and definitely my last. Learn from it — don’t make the same one.Jan 10, 2026 -
I have always been happy with Detroit Axle reasonably priced products and fast shipping. Although the last few sets of rotors I purchased had to be machined within a few months of operation. This is most likely caused by being dropped a few times while being shipped. Rotors need to be either packaged better or a caution label on outside of box" Do not drop"

Do not purchase from Detroit Axle. My experience has raised serious concerns about both the safety of their products and the way they handle customer issues. I originally bought front rotors and brake pads for my 2015 Ford Taurus SHO directly from their website to address brake noise. After installing them myself, the noise continued and worsened, so I later ordered the rear set as well — also from Detroit Axle thinking it was time to do them as well. Even then, the issue never went away.
A few months later, I took my car to a professional shop for a diagnosis and was told the front pads were incorrect for the SHO Performance brake package. I was given an inspection report confirming this. When I contacted Detroit Axle, they acknowledged it as a manufacturer error and agreed to send replacement pads, even though the warranty period had passed. However, when the new pads arrived, they turned out to be the exact same incorrect pads, missing the drag retention clips that are required for my brake system to function safely.
After speaking to four different representatives, I was repeatedly told that the pads were "correct" and that Detroit Axle does not produce pads with drag retention clips — despite the fact that they were advertised on their website specifically for the SHO. A Ford dealership later confirmed that pads without retention clips were not safe or compatible with my vehicle.
As a consumer, there was no way for me to know that Detroit Axle was selling parts that were incompatible and potentially dangerous. Even after showing documentation proving the issue, they refused to take responsibility or offer a real solution. This raises serious questions about how many other customers might be unknowingly installing unsafe products that are labeled as vehicle-specific.
I strongly advise staying away from Detroit Axle products. The risk to your vehicle — and your family’s safety — is simply not worth it.Dec 31, 2025 -
Replaced the front axles, hubs (with anti lock sensors), and the rear rotors on my 2006 2500 Ram. Parts worked perfectly. All parts were well packaged (except it almost killed the poor 90lbs UPS delivery kid:)) and delivered in a timely manner. Also they have a great warranty.
Dec 31, 2025 -
I ordered 10 items and initially received only 8. While customer service did respond, the delay in receiving the missing parts has already cost me time and money. Even after waiting, I am still missing one item from the original order. A response alone is not enough, accurate fulfillment and timely resolution matter. This experience caused unnecessary delays and expense and I can not recommend this business based on how this was handled.

Bought a set of front rotors, paired with the brake pads, which added to the warranty for the parts. I installed them on a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4.
Everything fit perfectly, and the performance of the parts was excellent.
It’s been a few months, and I don’t have any complaints thus far. Plus the price for the set was unmatched by any competitors. I’m a happy, new Detroit Axle customer!Dec 24, 2025 -
Serious safety defect. Buyer beware.
I purchased a rack and pinion from Detroit Axle. The next morning, the outer tie rod bearing seized. After alignment, the inner tie rod actually unscrewed from the rack housing while I was pulling out of the tire shop. I lost all steering control.
This was not installer error. There was zero thread-locking compound on the inner tie rod threads — none. I have photos and documentation from the tire shop confirming this. If this had happened at speed instead of in a parking lot, someone could have been killed.
Detroit Axle’s response to a documented steering failure was an $18 credit — less than the cost of the replacement tie rod I had to buy locally just to make the vehicle safe again. No investigation. No concern. No follow-up.
Steering components are safety-critical parts governed by federal defect regulations. Shipping a rack and pinion with unsecured internal components is unacceptable at any price point.
The pricing may be tempting, but it is not worth your life. I will never buy from this company again, and I strongly recommend others steer clear.Dec 23, 2025 -
Terrible! SAVE YOUR MONEY I ordered a set of brakes for my family car instantly before shop put them on they warned me they were bad quality I was already out $170+ just in parts now labor another $200 first drive brakes sounded like metal in metal contact I thought maybe settle in period. I was wrong next day brakes already rusted mind you car is garage kept went on few weeks still noise I contacted in they told me send pictures and videos sent them in they said call us, I call they said have any shop anywhere around you say they're faulty and we'll replace them free of charge, I get that from them a few more days they respond call us, now new person tells me I need written proof, I get written proof send it in call us new person says get us a receipt from the shop, I get an invoice from the shop letter and everything. Mind you I was told by the first two people free of charge they will send new parts that wouldn't be faulty I also asked so what if the new parts are also faulty they said they'll just keep sending me new parts. I know funny right. So I get not he call with a new person now to get my parts sent over he quotes me $94 dollars for shipping but the parts are "free" I payed $0 in shipping for my $172.26 order. This is for my family car I have two kids under the age of 5 don't even drive the car a lot but it's so unsafe I had to spend anothe 300 to get good quality parts. I advise no one buy from here please save your money and yourselves !

I ordered a CV axle and two swaybar links for the front of my 99 suburban Chevrolet K 1500 4 x 4 LT model. Everything went on and is performing like a charm! My parts arrived safely and are performing exactly as expected. The delivery was fast , According to my mechanic, it was a smooth installation. Thank you for your service and original parts. I highly recommend your company to anyone in need of parts.

I ordered a brake kit, (pads and rotors) for my truck. Also ordered front and rear shocks. The advertised information specifically stated ceramic pads. My wheels are continuously black from the brake dust. Definitely not ceramic pads as specified. I’m not satisfied with the parts I ordered. Won’t be ordering from you again.

I have been buying from this Co. for several years now. I first found them through eBay but it's much easier to buy directly from them.
I'm a retired auto mechanic & body man but still do repairs for friends & family. I have always found their products to be of OEM quality @ the best price anywhere. Fast free shipping & the correct part the first time.
Keep up the good work GuysDec 23, 2025 -
Materials ordered have been delivered quickly, were well-priced, and were of high quality and excellent fitment for my vehicle. These were rear rotor/drums for HD GMC 2500, calipers, brake shoes and kit. Very happy with product and service.

I needed new front driver side wheel bearing hub assembly for my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer. Was advised to replace passenger side as well. Price point was incredible and I had them professionally installed. My old tired Trailblazer has a new lease on life. It is amazing the difference. If I do not pay attention I am easily speeding. Smooth as silk. Highly recommended.

I am so furious!! I ordered almost a complete front end for my car Dec 1st. I received1 of the 4 kits I ordered. Realized not everything was there, I called. Rep told me they paused the shipment because I had it send to a different address than the billing address. Okay security feature right?? Nope here i had to call again 2 days after that because it still has not shipped!! This time fed ex was blamed for losing my label. So here I sit the week before Christmas with no car. And no parts no immediate refund to go buy them. Well played Detroit Axle! You just lost a faithful customer! Next step police report.

Worst experience I have had ordering parts, and unfortunately, I've had to go through O’rileys. Ordered with them because it said it would arrive on the 6th, even if it moved over the weekend, Monday. Fine. I spent more on a part to get it here earlier, but someone else had it for half the price. Lo and behold, it's the sixth. I have got no emails, so I go peek…On Hold, they took my money and put my order on hold. Why? I moved out of my family home, but billing and delivery didn't match. No call. No email. Not a word. Content to take my money, and not offer me the chance to verify to keep the shipping window I ordered because of. First customer service rep I get won't answer me straight; isn't really listening, because I can be halfway through a question: “So sorry ma'am about the inconvenience…” Like I wasn't asking you why I wasn't notified, how long they would keep my money without providing the product. The second guy I get has a smart mouth but can't give any real answers, and the few half-assed ones he did were confirming things the last guy said he couldn't tell me. A great way to waste your time and money, especially when you need a part on time.

Ordered 2 separate times, gave them the benefit of the doubt. First time they sent the wrong rotors to me, fine it happens. You would think they would say to send the incorrect rotors back and they will expedite the correct rotors; wrong, they wouldn’t send me the correct rotors until I sent back and they received and inspected the incorrect rotors. Did that and everything worked out. No I wasn’t offered anything for the inconvenience either.
The second order I placed has been a nightmare. I ordered Sunday night, expecting delivery Wednesday as it said on the website, they claim 2 day shipping on all orders. Well I get a notification saying they shipped it Monday, check the tracking number and it wasn’t picked up until Tuesday. Delivery estimate is for Saturday now! I contacted them, they don’t offer anything for inconvenience and say we will escalate it to our shipping department. I check tracking on Thursday and it’s now estimated for Monday! 8 days from order is a far cry from 2 as promised. I gave them a call and was offered 7% refund because it was the most he could do, nothing else could be done, no manager around to talk to. I was told the delay was due to fedex damaging the package. Why was this not told the first time I contacted them? I was then offered 10% refund instead, but I was told 7 was the max just 3 minutes ago. This company is unbelievable. Last time ever using them. Product is half decent even the price but I’ll spend a little more to get good customer service.Oct 23, 2025 -
Yeah, so, I purchased a part from the website and it let me pay for it, check out, and gave me tracking, with an estimated delivery date like 3 days later. The day of delivery arrives and I check the tracking and it shows the label was created but has not moved the whole time. I called, and they said to call back on a couple days if it still hasn't moved as they can then ship a new one. I called a couple days later and they told me they would ship another part out. 5 minutes later they call back and say they are actually out of stock and will have to refund it. So I asked if there's a chance the original one I ordered could still arrive. They said it would be sent back to them. So now I have to wait who knows how long for a refund and attempt to buy one somewhere else, all the while the website still shows the part I ordered is still in stock! I'm pretty sure they never had the part and just let me pay for one, please mark items unavailable on your website/ eBay shop if you are out as it's misleading to consumers. Why waste my time and tie up my money like this? You also offer a remanufactured version on the website that is also in stock, you could have offered that as well?

A great parts supplier online and in person.
Sometimes they're busy but they always get you in and out as fast as they can.
Truly grateful for a parts supplier of this size in our own backyard. giving out the best deals with 10year warranty for most parts.Oct 21, 2025 -
So I bought a kit of control arms about 4 months ago in may 2nd 2025 and they fit correctly, but after 4 months or so I noticed the steering was not right I went to try to get an alignment again, but that's when I was told the control arms where already bad the bushes were ripped on both sides and the tires were bald on the inside so I had to replace the control arms right away locally because it was not safe. I called customer service and I was told they could replace them but I didn't want them replaced since they were such low quality I was just asking for a credit since I had to replace them locally, so very low quality on their parts because of this I had to pay for new alignment and 2 new front tires wouldn't buy from them again

I ordered a fuel pump and they sent me the wrong one, I sent it back same day as I was asked to do so while waiting for a new Tracking # i get the run around and was told that the correct part would be here on Friday but what they didn't tell me was that the correct part was being shipped from TX and now I have to wait until Saturday to get it. When I called them to give them the Vin # they couldn't find my car in there system how is that possible in the pictures you can clearly see what is wrong. So far I'm not happy with the customer service department.

I received defective parts that were reconstructed. I sent the parts and my vehicle to a licensed repair shop to inspect the parts. I had to pay triple the cost for the repair shop to reinstall quality parts that repaired the suspension issue after realizing the parts from Amazon created a loud creaking, clunking noise. I also had to pay a storage fee for my vehicle to sit at the shop while I got in touch with Amazon and Detroit Axle to send the defective parts back to Amazon. This is highly unacceptable and disheartening to bully me out of my money when I the customer received BAD PARTS THAT I COULD NOT USE. And had to pay more money to have my car repaired. Had Detroit Axle not sent bad parts, I would not be in this situation. To keep my money and I did not receive quality parts and could not use them is fraud and a shame. The return window deadline was August 16, 2025. I was out of town in the hospital with my grandmother and had to pay to arrange for the parts to be sent back asap. To which the defective parts were sent back August 14, 2025. The parts would have been sent back well before then had I been in town and able to send them back myself! Under stress already dealing with my grandma in the hospital, only to learn from the shop and myself hearing them that the parts I ordered from Amazon would not repair the suspension as they were a bad assembly. Do the right thing and refund the entire $205.06. As you can see, I came out of way more money dealing with a bad part issue. Never will I order parts again from Amazon or Detroit Axle. This is my first and last time. Such a stressful inconvenience and process to simply get a refund where a refund is due. Utterly ridiculous. I returned defective parts. Even the shop told me they would not use the parts for the safety of me and for liability purposes because they were a bad assembly. I even heard the noise still myself so I know the assembly from Detroit Axle was bad. The Detroit Axle parts created a loud clunking, creaking sound and bounce. The parts from Detroit Axle were defective and would not repair suspension. That is not ok to keep my full funds after a defective order was returned well within the return window and I was approved by the 3rd party vendor Detroit Axle to return them! How dare you then keep my money. I had to come out of $1900 just to repair the suspension with quality parts AFTER receiving bad parts from Amazon 3rd party. This is grounds for a lawsuit and wrong on so many levels. Please refund immediately. I could not use the parts for the reason of them being a bad assembly and have since repaired the vehicle on August 19, 2025, which cost me way more money than I expected to spend. Of course in reality if the parts were of quality, I would have not had to come out of almost $2000 to repair the suspension. Who wants to come out of more money when they don’t have to or want to. Let’s be realistic here and act with morals! The parts were bad. Plain and simple. I got an approval by the seller to return for a refund. So why not simply refund as promised vs keep the entire amount of $205.06 when you have the parts back that could not repair the suspension with due to being a bad assembly!

Referred to Detroit Axle by coworker who did wife's Chrysler 300 front brakes. Glad I took his advice! I purchased and installed part #10BPR3701122, 10pc Front & Rear Drilled Slotted Rotors, Front Calipers, Ceramic Brake Pads Kit on my 2018 RAM 1500 SPECIAL SERVICE VEHICLE 4X4 HEMI. Website easy to navigate, fast & secure. Detroit Axle staff was extremely helpful, replying answers real time via chat. And same day replies via email. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Parts arrived within 4-5 days, boxes undamaged. All parts were new, clean and undamaged out of boxes...no missing parts! Many DIY videos on YouTube made installation easy. Been driving with new parts two weeks and am very pleased. Only had to bleed lines twice to get all air out and get clear fluid in lines and calipers. Pedal is stiff & solid, brakes are silent quiet at all times. Extremely solid, stable and quick stopping power. If this keeps up until manufacture's recommended two year service, totally worth it! Time will tell... Until then, thanks Detroit Axle!Sep 09, 2025 -
I have ordered a decent number of items to rebuild my older 2001 Chevy 1500. All the parts went in great and look good. Fast shipping and everything was correct.

Don’t order anything from them, really hard to get warranty or replacement parts when the customer service is a joke. Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Detroit Axle needs to bring their customer service back to the United States because the 3rd party company they outsourced to provide it is not representing them well. I’ve never spoken to a more entitled group of people or to a customer service representative that tries to make it out like what happened is your fault. I ended up just requesting a refund because of how bad the customer service treated me. I am an Army veteran that was a Ford certified technician before I joined. I’ve never seen any company package parts the way that Detroit Axle did with my front end kit. I also have never seen a company place so many heavy suspension components into one box. The reason I return the kit I ordered originally is because parts were missing and several of the clear plastic bags the parts were supposed to be sealed in were open. There was also a SureStop brake rotor box used as packing material. That is not a brand Detroit Axle sells and it makes me think they sent me parts someone else returned. I can’t believe they’re still in business.
