Made an appointment and was told they couldn't even look at my car when I arrived. Now I have to wait out the weekend to get my car fixed. The closing time does not match up with the time they actually close. I would have went elsewhere had I known this. It is the companies fault that their advertised hours and appointment line up does not reflect reality. Also a waste of gas, time, and wear and tear on car coming here for no reason when their are other shops that will go the extra mile to serve customers and not turn them away.
Scott was very knowledgeable. Took 2017 Focus ST for oil change and had a great conversation about some Jeep troubles. They did a very comprehensive inspection with oil change and appreciated all the feedback. Sending better half up there to get oil change and inspection as well. Hal's just earned two new customers. My vehicles check engine light came on, took it to Hal’s for a diagnostic check. Computer shows turbo bad had them replace it car was ready for pick up the next afternoon.

I had a broken taillight that I noticed while traveling. It had broken on me recently before, so I suspected that it was more than a burnt out bulb. I was right - Hal's confirmed that I needed a new taillight.
But without me saying anything, they said that since I was from out of town and they wouldn't be able to replace it anytime soon, they replaced the bulb for free. They also drained the water in my taillight that had burnt out the bulb.
By the way - Toyota offered to replace the bulb for $188.
Friendly, professional staff, and the local shuttle service was great. I was able to drop off my vehicle and get a ride back to get some work done instead of waiting around at the shop. Also, the detailed inspection report with pictures was nice.

I just bought a car on October 9 that is a 2025 but a used vehicle with 17,000 miles on it. The engine light came on last night and I needed to get a diagnostic run on it. They were wonderful! They got me right in, they gave me comprehensive information, they were excellent, professional, and sincere. They dealt directly with the insurance company to get it approved . Fantastic kind caring people—the staff is fantastic. You can trust them!
Just had a slow leak last couple days, I knew it was most likely a nail in tread on front tire on my Ford Edge. Called Ford at 1 PM Friday. Was told I could get an appointment for Saturday! Called 2 Belle Tires, Farmington and Novi. Was told a 2 hour or more service time if I came in. I called Hal's at 1:15, and was told 1/2 hour to do the work! So, I arrived at 1:25, checked in, and by 1:55 I was checked out and on my way home, tire repaired, and wheel balanced! Friendly and experienced staff, couldn't have been nicer or smoother!
Had another fantastic repair service experience with Hal’s last week when I needed the shocks replaced on my vehicle. They are always very communicative and friendly and get my repairs done as quickly as possible, which is much appreciated. Highly recommend Hal’s as an alternative to using a dealership for repairs.

After sitting in my garage for several years, undriven, my Pontiac Solstice needed some tender loving care before it could be taken out on the road again. The location is set back on the road but worth finding. The peeps there were very welcoming, nice to talk with, and helpful on suggestions to keep The Happy Peace Warrior driving. I used coupons for my oil change which further helped me save money. I felt an over all relaxed and comfortable experience with them. I plan on using Hal's for other repairs in the future. Thank you!
After taking my Jeep to the Chrysler dealership twice for an engine issue the dealership failed to diagnose the problem each time. Turned out to be a misfire that was easily diagnosed and fixed by Hal's. To add insult to injury the dealership changed my brakes during my second visit and they failed to do the job properly in a major way and I was lucky my front brakes still functioned well. Hal's fixed that as well. To top it off the dealership needed my car for over a week to fail to fix the problems TWICE and created new ones, while Hal's took 3 days to diagnose and fix the issues.
I brought my car in not knowing what was wrong, just that it wasn’t running right. It short order, Hal’s diagnosed the issue and had it fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Everyone was professional and friendly.
We were very pleased with the efficiency and the honesty of the staff . Initially I asked for an oil change too but Bill indicated it was not necessary because the oil was very clean. The part we needed was delivered overnight and the work was finished by early afternoon! I didn't shop around because of the stellar reputation of Hal's. Mary in the office was more than hospitable and even dropped me at my car. Overall, it was a positive experience and outcome and I would recommend Hal's in need of any auto work. Hal’s is very detailed, thorough, and honest. Just had my front brakes done, but I’ve been taking my cars there for over 5 years. They do the job right the first time, which has not always been my experience with other shops.

My engine light came on my car. I took it to Hal’s auto clinic in Farmington. They did a deep dive diagnostic test and found that I had water in my engine. They got an engine from Ford. It took about 2 to 3 weeks to do all the changes and testing to ensure everything would work OK. I picked up my car. I want to thank Mary for picking me up to get my car. This location provides shuttle service. I want to thank Bill and Scott and all the technicians for all the hard work they did on my car. They even recommend a means of payment plan. Next time I will use that instead of using my credit card which turned out to be a nightmare. Since this is a new engine on a 2016 Ford edge SEL, THEY RECOMMEND THAT I COME BACK BETWEEN 500 MILES AND 1000 MILES TO CHANGE THE OIL. THIS IS A GREAT PLACE. THEY ARE ALL FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION.
