⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve been coming to this scrap yard for a while now and they’re always fair, fast, and professional. Prices are competitive, the scale is accurate, and the staff actually knows what they’re doing. In and out without wasting time, which matters when you’re working. Yard is organized, unloading is easy, and I’ve never had an issue getting paid. This is my go-to spot and I recommend it to anyone scrapping metal.
If you have never been here before do not go! They aren’t helpful and they are completely unprofessional and rude. I will be calling the better business bureau absolutely pathetic.
The lady at the front desk is very nice and she does her job to the best of her ability and does a great job. On the other hand the man that takes copper and aluminum is very disrespectful and talks to people with no respect and is down right mean for no reason. Got aggressive and cussed me out because I did not put a 10 food aluminum antenna on a cart and he apparently told me 18 times. Told me to go to different scrap yard because it would not fit on cart. And no one does anything about this issue and am going to the better business bureau and give them the recording of how they talk to customers.
Usually use a different location when turning in scrap, but it's closed for the holidays. Went here and it was easy and got more than I get at the other place. This is my new redemption center. Well done people.
You know how if you take wire they will send you a check...
So I did not get two of them because they had been using my old address on file from years ago and sending them to the wrong address, even though they ask for your D.L. every time you cash out.
Asked if they could help me find out what happened to the checks and see if they were ever cashed, thought maybe they would reissue them.. NOT A CHANCE.. they went off the rails and started cussing me out then banned me from selling again when I started asking why not??
The rudest people and worst business practices towards long time customers. Used to have great people working for them but I'm pretty sure it was an owner who was berating me.
Guys in the metal shop (Non ferrous scale ) They don't sort out your metal right so you don't get what it is worth. Very rude if you question them They will down grade you every time. I rather get paid a few dollars less and get treated better then get ripped off for my hard work. I said something about it one time to the guy in the tower and he basically said if I don't like it I should go some place else. They pay good for shred and take Refrigerators. But risk getting a flat and getting dusty and muddy.
This place used to be great...used to. I am a regular guy, not sensitive and hard to offend but they don't answer the phone like a business, they talk to you like you are having words during rec time in prison then they try to rip you off. It's a shame, I used to enjoy doing business here. There are far more honest yards within a few miles and they actually act like they are running a business.
Never have i ever had a man be so disrespectfully rude...ask a question n just starts goin off on you im appalled and ill never use this scrapyard again
Unfortunately over the last year this location has become unbearably slow, with our wait times being 2.5 Hours plus. I recommend finding another processing center if you are in a rush.
Metal on the road in front of the scrapyard in Pontiac. Drove past this morning going to work and got a two inch metal shard in my tire. Called the office and only got "Sorry but we won't do anything." Tire needs to be replaced can't patch or plug the hole and no money to replace the tire.
Always a good experience. Fast friendly and for the most part very professional service. The older gentleman at the front gate is always a pleasure with his count down till snow. .......
Only Place I will go to! Helpful on the phone, and helpful when you get there. Their lot is as clean as it gets, and their prices are always VERY fair!
