NEVER let them touch a car you care about! Had them tow a car from shop to house and they launched it into a snowbank and busted my exhaust. Was told good luck and they will only replace the aftermarket exhaust with a stock pipe. Absolute joke of a scam business that should never be allowed to work on cars let alone tow them. The lack of respect for people’s belongings is absolutely astounding and they WILL break your car! Edit: I see the reply and that just shows how ignorant this company is, the tow truck driver let the car roll all the way down a hill and smashed it into a snowbank, the tow trucks are the problem. I can’t imagine how awful the technicians treat people’s belongings!

My wife was stranded on a Saturday with an overheating car far from home. I called these guys, and was told, "I'm right now scheduling for Thursday and Friday, and there are no techs here on Saturday." No room for emergencies here. Maybe they treat the locals better, but if you are looking for a car repair place, that is the type of care you may be getting. Just FYI.

I locked myself and three little children out of my car today while at the beach. My insurance company, USAA, dispatched twin cities to come and help me get back into my vehicle. USAA collected all of my location information etc. and passed it on to twin cities. I borrowed someone's phone...but phone service was patchy where I was at so I called to make sure that they knew I was going to be by the vehicle and that they wouldn't be able to contact me because there was no service in the parking lot. Cheryl answered the phone and was so incredibly rude. She hassled me because I couldn't give her the phone number that I was calling from because I didn't know it, my phone was locked in the vehicle. She went on and on and on wanting to argue with me about pointless stuff that didn't matter, trying to teach me a lesson I guess right? I told her exactly where I was. It wasn't that difficult. I was at the main parking lot of duck Lake right by Lake Michigan after the bridge. She proceeded to list off all the different locations that I could be even though I told her where I was. Maybe she didn't know where the heck I was because she wasn't listening and she was too busy trying to give me a lesson. She talked to me like I was 10 ft below her. All I wanted was help. Stuck with three kids at a hot beach with no way to leave. Cheryl then decided to cancel the service and leave me stranded for even longer. Customer service was absolutely terrible!!! I cannot speak for other services but as far as their conduct... Disgraceful.

I brought my vehicle in to have a water pump replaced. They replaced that and left me with a loud exhaust leak. I called and asked about the new noise, have to drop my car off a 2nd time. They tell me I have a hole from rust….sure because it only became noticeable after getting worked on. Whatever, I pay for them to replace the Y pipe they offer to change. Few days later I get another exhaust leak noise. They have me bring in my car for a 3rd time and tell me the other end needs to be replaced now because the new part doesn’t fit the old…..what a scam joke of a business. As a customer from Norton Shores having to leave their vehicle so many times and then be told I would have to pay for another part because they couldn’t get it right the first time…never again.

Always a good price and solid communication. I've taken numerous vehicles there over the years, and their prices are always lower than the dealer, and they do a good job. They replaced my heater core for $1,200 while my vehicle's dealership quoted me at $2,000.

Recently my 2019 Ram would not start. Truck acted like a fuel pump issue. Had vehicle towed to twin cities to repair and they found a sensor that was shutting down my fuel pump. I was looking at at $1200.00. They fixed for under $100.00. They were great. Will be using them again. GREAT SERVICE.

Outstanding service from our tow truck driver. During this year's "first" storm we had to have our plow truck towed for service The first tow truck that came (not from twin cities) said it couldn't be towed and mentioned numerous problems Resulting in them not towing Twin cities came in asked where truck was and had it out of here and on its way to get fixed IN A JIFFY!! THANK YOU TWIN CITIES. Apologies for not knowing drivers name 😕 but he made our month!!!

Great service and fair prices. Thank you again for getting my truck done so quickly.

Customer service skills are terrible. Quoting repairs based off their own book times rather using what most shops use (alldata) to quote a repair. Shady business with automotive repair. Edit to respond to your reply. No one stated any attempt to perform the repair was already attempted. Nice try on the cover up though. Simply asked if you install customer supplied parts. Your answer was no, no problem there. To assume a repair was already attempted out the gate is assine.

Short version: great place, 2 for 2. Highly recommend. Long version: I've only needed a mechanic twice in the year i've lived in Michigan, once when I first moved here and had a blown high pressure power steering fluid line and once last week when the truck sat dead in my driveway with a dead alternator and battery. Both times they were able to get me in pretty quick. With this last job they got me in earlier than the appointment had I had scheduled and the work was done a day early! Both times, they did the job well, I've had no issues with the quality of work and prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's odd, every time I mention this place to people I meet in the area they caution against going here. Don't believe that hype, the folks at Twin Cities have been great to deal with and have done solid work. Definitely worth checking out if you need work done.

I’ve been waiting for an hour and a half just to have my car towed from Whitehall to the Dodge dealership. The dispatcher was also somewhat rude about the inconvenience of my vehicle potentially not going into neutral.

I have used Twin Cities for at least 30-40 years. They kept me on the road while working over 28 years in Muskegon. Always they have kept the repairs at an affordable level and always stood behind their work. Great and kind people.

Cheryl was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and kind from start to finish. She frequently checked in with updates. The mechanics went above and beyond and found my engine coolant leak, which the dealership had missed 3 weeks previously in an even more expensive repair (that didn't fix the problem.) When I picked up my car, they had the broken part to show me what and where it was broken. I would highly recommend Twin City!

Wow. I am just dumbfounded. I have referred friends and family to this auto shop for YEARS! I will never refer them again. Cheryl, is snarky and sarcastic to customers. My sister got her car back, turned it on and *engine light*. They stated that it was that way when they got it..? First of all no. It wasn’t “like that” and secondly, is this not an auto repair shop? Wouldn’t you inform the customer that it’s throwing a code? Granted it was taken in for a wheel bearing but at the same time they diagnosed it? Anyway, Cheryl comes out with the computer and plugs it in to see what the code is. My sister asks okay so what’s the code? Cheryl in the most sarcastic and arrogant tone blurts out a number code instead of being forthcoming as she’s concerned about her car. As anyone would be. Like she’s going to know what that means? It tells you in the computer they have what kind of code it is. Back story she’s from Maryland and has to drive it back 9 hours in a couple days. It was ridiculous. If you use this shop they do great work. Customer service however, falls WAY below the mark. Ask for anyone but Cheryl, we live in Whitehall and this is convenient but it quickly becomes an inconvenience when you’re dealing with someone who is incapable of being a decent human being and LAUGHS AT PAYING CUSTOMERS as they walk out the door! (She spent $950 yesterday) no small change for anyone. Down right rude and it’s a damn shame. I understand people having a bad day but this kind of behavior has no place in customer service.

This morning after my blow out and getting it towed to my work & getting a new tire.. I tried to put the tire on myself but with my E break not holding it too well & on a slite small hill it kept giving out. so my insurance called twin cities, & they came to my Aid, and put it on for me while I worked. I am so grateful for them.. thank you very much..

They always do a great job with my cars. They never try to repair more than what is needed. Fair and up front. Highly recommend!

I had a vehicle serviced at the Colby St location - everything was well communicated with the diagnosis, work was completed on time. No surprise costs other than what was discussed. Would recommend for vehicle service

Big thanks to Terry, Rob and the rest of the crew at Twin Cities Parts and Service in Whitehall. We needed urgent repairs twice in the last two months to the same busy family vehicle and Twin Cities managed to look at and repair it the same day both times. Excellent work and fair prices. Thanks again.

Professional and down to earth feel from the employees. Help me quickly before Christmas and I am so greatful. Found and fixed two issues and I didn't even know what the original problem part was exactly. I just knew it needed a hose. I walked out with the hose I knew was a problem and a new water pump. My truck was gone for almost 2 days only. I so thankful for you guys. Thanks guys and I hope business doesn't stop for you. Blessings and love

One of the few places left to get great service and a great fair price. They're not cheap but quality never is. They're not overpriced either....just right. Communication skills get an A+. So happy these ladies and gentlemen are available .

I can usually get my vehicle in to get looked at within a couple of days. They are thorough with inspection and fixing the problem! They call with pricing before doing the work! They have been able to get parts for my vehicles that other auto part stores could not!

I’ve had three separate incidents which in response I looked to Twin cities for a resolution. The first after fixing my car and being paid they admitted fault when I got into an accident. My wheels were not put back on correctly. Thankfully due to lack of traffic and convenient pull of no one was hurt, and to their credit they fixed free of charge. The second they fabricated a story which required a $1,200 fix, told me I could have time to save amount or dispose of car if I elected to get a new one. In which they got impatient even with constant communication and resulted in another mechanic fixing my car for $250. Yes, $1,000 dollars less than what they had quoted me. However not before they got their cut for tow, looking and lot fee. The third was a simple tow because I didn’t trust them to work on my vehicle. In which I stopped by with full amount in hand to pay, but asked if I could stop in when I got paid in one week to pay the simple $65 fee. Suggested possibly like half now, half in seven days because they have my number, address and access to my car. I apologized for inconvenience, I was called a fraud. Told them to just take the full amount and I would sacrifice my families food for the week if that’s what it meant. That I was stressed out working 68 hours a week and wasn’t just trying to get over on them. Then another team member came up and said you don’t go to a restaurant eat and then refuse to pay. I simply stated every other mechanic I know and have interacted with understand that choosing of your own will to go to a restaurant for sustenance, and your automobile breaking down whenever chance may have it, are not the same situation. I simply was asking to pay in a week which almost all other necessity type businesses such as electric, mortgage, gas, water, and contractors seem to understand. Knowing full well it was in their right to say no. Which is why I arrived one hour after initial call with funds in hand. Then was asked to leave, because it was made clear in all three of these instances all they care about is their money. Not your well-being, not the reputation of good work or good business, and certainly not your opinion as a regular paying customer. They want to take your money regardless of the quality of their work, regardless if you spending that amount is necessary, and regardless to their reputation or quality of life of the citizens of this small town which they too call “home”.

We recently got a flat tire on our way down from a camping trip and didn't know what to do! The staff here were so kind to us and repaired our tire in just a matter of minutes, turning getting the flat from ruining our day into just a minor inconvenience! Thank you Twin Cities!

My vehicle needed multiple repairs. I received a detailed estimate that itemized the expenses for parts and labor. The final cost was below the original estimate. Thankful for the great service.

We're rude when I brought car in. Paid them $50 to look at my car and try to tell me what's wrong, only for him to tell me "I didn't thoroughly look at the car, considering its not one of my cars."Seriously?! Yeah thanks for the 100% effort. Will never take any car there ever again

I have been a customer for about 27 years. This business is comprised of some kind, honorable individuals. They seek to fulfill their customers' vehicle service needs efficiently and in a cost effective manner. They have not always told me what what I wanted to hear, but rather I needed to hear when prudent. Their success and reliability is a function of their integrity, honesty, and respectfulness in which they have demonstrated for decades. Do not hesitate to take your business here; they will serve your family and vehicles well.
