2/18/25 - Jack (owner) of Rockwood Towing was very pleasant to work with. He answered the phone quickly, gave me the fee, and was there to help within 15 min. During the process he kept me informed which was extra nice especially since the deep snow, freezing temperature and strong wind made his job quite tricky. He was a really pleasant business owner to work with. I definitely recommend Rockwood Towing. Thank you again for your help!!
Absolutely fantastic people! Took great care of my vehicle after they towed it and helped me out of a sticky situation after the blizzard. Will definitely be the first people I call if I ever end up in the same situation in that area!
Got into an accident at night they came to the highway and towed my car within the hour and were super helpful coordinating with my insurance and facilitating me to get my stuff. The tow was the least stressful part of my accident.
Thanksgiving Evening 2024. After a great day with the family our elderly uncle drove his car into the ditch out front of our home. Not knowing who to call for help we contacted the Monroe County Sheriff who connected us with Rockwood Towing. We were told they were enroute and they arrived within 20 minutes. The diver was very courteous and put us at ease immediately. He was obviously experienced and quickly retrieved the vehicle from the ditch. We were extremely pleased. Would highly recommend their services!
Had a accident on 1/23/23 first company bailed on me (j&l towing) without notice. Then this company was dispatched, Anthony showed up with little wait time and came to my rescue! his problem solving skills were A++ couldn't be anymore grateful for this company and the driver!! Thanks again!!
I’ve never had to use a tow company before. After I was in a major car accident they were extremely helpful in not only giving me information on where and how to get to my car so I could clean it out but they also asked how I was after the car accident! Once I got there to clean my car out the guy was super helpful and friendly, he got my trunk open for me when it was stuck shut due to the electrical box being damaged in the accident and I couldn’t figure out how to get it open. I hope I never have to use a tow company again but if I do rockwood towing would definitely be one I would call! :) Thanks guys!
My van went into the ditch. I gave them a call at 9pm. I think his name was Mike. Very nice and fast response He looked over my van, looked for the best way to pull it with out damaging it. He was great to work with.
Anthony towed my truck the other night and was able to get my truck to me in a matter of 24 hours and some change. Gave me a nice rate and took care of me. Thanks guys! I appreciate it from an out of town boilermaker
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! The service at Rockwood towing is just a complete mess. They are short tempered and prone to yell at you for using their services. Jack specifically doesn't seem to be able to comprehend anything besides basic questions leading him to become very rude and unprofessional. For this I would not recommend working with this company! He is a short man with a shorter temper!
Excellent service! The driver was very polite and on time. They took great care of my vehicle. The driver called me when he was on his way with an ETA and then called me when he dropped the vehicle off at the service center and made sure my keys where dropped off at the service desk.
UPDATE: tried calling again to give them a second chance after they told me no the first time because they didnt like the area i wanted my car towed to. so this time i called in hopes to get my car towed from my job to my home now this time its to close for them to tow. ALOT of better towing places out there. try adolphs towing they have NEVER told me no or had an attitude on the phone!!!
& in reply to this comment below. there was never a honest conversation or talk about availability. I called to get my car towed to my mechanic & when i told him the city his attitude change & said " sorry cant tow, we dont go to those kind of areas" as if hes to good. dont believe me call yourself!! extremely unprofessional. i hung up mid conversation because all he said was " nope, sorry cant help you, we dont go there" and this time he said " your to close, sorry cant help you" and just continued to repeat himself as if he didnt care what i had to say. i would give no star if i could. i dont see the point of having a towing company if all your going to do is say no or put limits on everything. i can understand a place being to far but to close is ridiculous. completely useless!
Rockwood towing is the best to get the job done they are very professional. The owner Jack helped me out immediately I only wish more business were run this well.
My daughter got into a situation and Rockwood Towing saved her. The driver arrived in minutes, devised a plan, and executed it without any further damage. I highly recommend them!
Thanks for your help! Had the unfortunate experience of getting stuck on ice in a trailer yard I tried to get my self out and had to call for help. They responded quickly and had me rolling in a few minutes. They stayed to make sure I did not get stuck again. Thanks for you excellent service!
Anthony at Rockwood towing is literally the best! Made it to us nice and fast and managed to get us out of the water with no damage to the vehicle! We will 100% recommend these guys in the future.
Good workers, they were fast acting, only downside is the owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. Maybe he should work on his people skills. Kinda pricy and only takes cash. I hope I never have to use them again. And if I get in another accident. I will make sure I call a tow company Instead of letting the police
I have called Rockwood 3 times now to bail me out of a jam. Three things: Professional knowledgeable and fair. You can trust this company to do what they're supposed to without any extra BS. If you're in trouble and you need a tow give them a call, you'll be happy you did.
Very friendly . Worked with me to make sure I got my car back .. I have been towed by star towing in Monroe 2 times ... WAY nicer and better prices ... Go to Rockwood towing !!!
Was out of town and needed help getting out of Michigan snow! Anthony was a huge help. He got there quickly, took charge and stayed until I was back on the main road. Could not be more professional or courteous. Highly recommend these guys!

During the accident my wallet and cash were tossed all over the crash site as I was carted off in the ambulance. Everything was collected and packaged safely in the car pocket until I picked it up.
Was stranded with three kids at 930 at night and the guy was quick to get here and had us unlocked in less then 10 minutes! Great guy with great service!
I have recently gotten into a wreck , where I was incoherent at the time to answer any questions , when I got out of the hospital , my boyfriend contacted the Monroe County Sheriff department to find out where my car was , they directed us to call Rockwood Towing, Inc. , he then contacted Rockwood to ask when we could be able to get my car , etc. and the woman on the phone was automatically rude , asking if he was the owner , and why I couldn't talk , I JUST GOT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL AND JUST HAD A BAD ACCIDENT 4 hours PRIOR TO THIS CALL . He then handed the phone off to me for me to answer just a few questions so we could get the information we needed to get my vehicle , she started yelling at me asking "why I wouldn't call in for my vehicle if I'm the owner " , she said many other inappropriate phrases that shouldn't be said by an employee in her line of work , to a customer that had just gotten out of the hospital. Where is the sincerity ?! I ended up having to get off the phone bc she had me in tears and I could no longer talk bc of my condition . I called the following day to get the information I needed and a man answered then phone , I told him which vehicle was mine and asked what the prices were , 520$ !!!! They towed my car a total of 12 miles? He told me it was a set rate , I took a picture of the board with the prices on it inside of their building and there was NO PRICES POSTED. He then went to ask me " if you called in yesterday , then why are you calling again today " , another thing , when my car was in the process of being wenched , he pulled my car in PARK , My transmission is completely junk now , I've asked in person and over the phone what the name of the tow truck driver is and they told me "None of your business " or " look online " , today , while me, my boyfriend , and his father were struggling to push my vehicle onto a trailer , the man stood ,leaning up against a wrecked vehicle , watching us the entire time . After a hour drive to Rockwood and 2 hours of struggling to get my vehicle onto the trailer , I asked to use one of their restrooms and the man told me "Nope" ! I DO NOT recommend this horrible towing company and business to anyone , I DO NOT think the Monroe County Shierffs department should renew their contract with Rockwood Towing , inc.
Worst customer service I've ever endured , rude , insincere , heartless " people" if that's what you can even call them . I GAVE THEM ONE STAR BECAUSE 0 STARS IS NOT AN OPTION .
