brought in a load of nice heavy metal, was told on the phone the price was $180 gross ton, AFTER I was unloaded the old man decided he would only pay $150 gross ton. This is the second time I got screwed by them, shame on me for letting it happen 2x!! I would give my scrap to another yard before I sell the crooked ol man anything.
Yeah do not go here. The people here are incredibly rude. My partner is looking for a rim and Interlochen was the closest place and they closed soon. He called these guys and ask if they had it and explained his situation and said he would pay right now if they had it to avoid going to Interlochen. Theady said oh my gosh yeah, call back in like 3 minures and we will look for you. He waited about 5 minutes, and when he called back they said they were still looking. No problem.
He called back in about 5 minutes and they guy answered and got really angry and said " you have to give us more than a couple of minutes before you call dude" and when my partner told him that the lady told him to call back in 3 minutes, the guy hung up on him. Giving him the benefit of the doubt my partner called back saying he thought they were disconnected and they guy then again responded yelling at him and said " you have to give us more than a few minutes why are you calling "
So my partner asked if it would be easier for them to call him instead ans was met with nothing bit silence and when asked again he said they needed more time than a few minutes. My partner gave up and went to Interlochen. But long story short, keep the hot head off the phone.
People are very rude around there and terribly slow they made me wait 35 min for someone to help me with a headlight and when I bought it it didn’t even work and they tried to tell me I didn’t buy it there and that they sold me the headlight not the bulbs when I bout 80$ bulbs to put in them and they still didn’t work and there wires we all cut up and they charged me 57$ for a headlight snd I took it back and told them it didn’t work they gave me 25$ and took all of my headlights I brought in this place rips people off and are lazy and slow

Everyone there is normally very kind however the ornery old guy in there truly needs to be taught how to talk to people the way he not only talkes to men but woman as well is truly pathetic. Dude needs to loose the attitude as I know he is quite rude with most of his customers. This reputation is representation why only a small crowd does barely any business.
Their scales are off by at least 60 lbs I just left the docs I weigh 230 lb when I got off the scales it showed my weight to be 300 lbs I brought it to Sam attention and he told me there's nothing wrong with the scales my load with me in the truck was 15,400 me off the the load 15,100 so I will not be going back

The scrap yard is just fine, I'm sure they'll have what you need, it's the people though. With the exception of the woman at the front and the gentleman who goes and pulls the parts out of cars, everyone that works here is extremely rude. Don't go here. Go to Gene's instead
Needed a used tire in a difficult to find size. Nobody in a 100 mile radius had one, but these guys took my info and called me as soon as one became available - less than 72 hours later! Good way to practice business if looking for repeat customers!
