These people are truly amazing and go above and beyond what a normal auto garage would! If there were an option for more stars, they'd get those, too. I'll absolutely be referring friends here after the way they took care of me! Honest, kind, helpful, hardworking people from the moment you walk in the door.
I honestly heard so so much bad stuff about this place and I never would’ve thought about it because the people there are nice but I’ve had to return three times for the same issue because they can’t do the job right. It’s honestly embarrassing. They even tried to charge me extra for work they didn’t do correctly the first time. Save yourself the time in the hassle and go To place in Marquette

We're from NY. While on a family vacation my husband hit a deer. At 4:30 pm Doug's wife told us to come right in, and if we couldn't make it all the way she'd send out a wrecker. Doug helped us bend the fender pull out the radiator and zip tie pieces together. He repositioned the light and replaced the bulbs so we could safely drive. We cut our vacation short and drove over 16 hours 2 days later to make it safely home to NY. Thank you SO SO much. We never would've made it home without you. ❤️❤️
Nice set up. People are knowledgeable about the things in their museum and they use the building for fund raising and truly into the community. You should check it out.

Took my vehicle there 3 times. Out of the 3 times they fixed my exhaust, fuel level indicator, and a power steering leak. They failed to fix my filler neck issue both times it was brought in. They also flushed my heater core and replaced a thermostat.
My truck is still overheating and still doesn’t take gas. They were very nice people and easy to work with. But each time I was there I was charged for things that were supposed to be repaired.
The owner of the shop is the rudest person I have ever met and the most reactive person. I would not give him the time of day to work on any of my vehicles!
Dr Doug’s is the only place I will ever bring my vehicles! They are the most honest and upfront shop. They tell you exactly what you need, they always do a great and quick job with the repairs and it always feels good leaving and knowing your family is safe in a mechanically sound vehicle.

I've never been to a more friendly and professional garage than Dr. Doug's! The customer service is fantastic, the pricing is fair, the service is fast, and they communicate with you every step of the way to make sure you approve of any repairs they make. I'm so glad we have a place like them nearby because I never want to go anywhere else!
They are fantastic to work with. Our vehicle became undriveable suddenly after being told by another mechanic that nothing was wrong with the bearings 2 weeks previous. Dr. Dougs crew got us in that day to diagnose the problem and then ready for the road the very next day. It was, in fact, 2 bearings and brakes. After a test run they diagnosed that we also needed a ujoint in the back. (We were told by the previous mechanic that it was the entire rear diff) . They went ahead and fixed it right up. Reasonable prices, quality work, quality parts, quick turnaround time & friendly staff. You can’t ask for more .

Dr. Doug's Auto performed a tune-up an oil change and fixed a very complicated wiring harness on my vehicle. I also wanted new brakes, new compressor and a new battery. They called me and told me that my brakes, compressor and battery were all in really good shape and didn't need to be replaced. These guys could have completely taken advantage of me but ended up doing the complete opposite. My car is running better than it ever has. Honest, reliable, and very reasonably priced, you would be hard pressed to find a better mechanic. It feels really nice to know that good honest companies still do exist.

Dr Doug and company do very thorough work. They care for your ride as their own, get it done in a timely manner, and have good fair rates. They wont let you down highly recommended!
Always a great place to take your vehicle! He's definitely a guy who you can trust, he won't rip you off! His prices aren't to bad either compared to others in the area. I highly recommend this business if you are in need of vehicle repair!

Great service, infact they worked late to get my daughter's truck up an running. They handed over the keys with smiles on their faces and a great running truck. Awesome service, honest and helpful. I had a suspicion my old trucks vacuum pump might not be working and they found at least one bad hose connection that solved the problem. Only charged me $20. Really appreciate their honesty.
I'm the secretary at Dr Doug's. I went through the computer and have not yet come across a costumer named Lionel Trains. I'm so sorry to see the bad review. The Dr Doug's crew puts in long hours, takes a lot of pride in their work, and does their best to take care of their customers. Sounds like Lionel Trains thought he was being billed upon his time sitting at the garage and didn't quite understand how the billing works. When calling for an estimate I can't clock Doug on his time working ..It's based on a labor guide that most garages use. The labor guide is used as reference for calls on quotes as well as when work is done for billing. So for example if your labor for your brakes was 2 hrs, and flushing your heater core was an hr and replacing a thermostat was an 1.5 hrs...That's not "labor stacking" that's 3 different jobs entirely getting done to your vehicle. So, Mr Trains, if u are a real person, and if affordability was an issue for u, please give me a call Monday morning and I will issue u a refund.
Think of this shop as more of a last resort. I've had acceptable work done, but have also had very poor, inattentive work done. Hourly rate is on par with other independent garages, but this shop practices dishonest labor stacking techniques when billing. As I said, use as a last resort, but even then use caution.
I had my brakes done in April. I was so pleased with the results. They are wonderful to work with and accommodating to my schedule. GREAT customer service! Car repairs are tough to take sometimes but when necessary I'll be back!! Sorry this review is so late.
