Traveling through town when the brake sensor went off on my Mercedes. I called Friendly Auto Service and spoke with Jeremy. He was very pleasant and professional said that they could get my vehicle in right away. They were very diligent with diagnosing the problem, telling me how much the parts would be and the labor. They got everything repaired in a timely manner and I was on way. Im very pleased with the service and workmanship. I would recommend them to anyone who lives in the area or is just passing through. I called for a quote on replacing my car’s front brakes pads (I would supply the rotors and brake pads). I was told labor would be $240. I asked how long would it take in labor, and was told 4-5 hours. I made an appointment for September 22, 2025 at 8 am.
I arrived and was told by the manager. He told me the mechanic does not arrive until 9 am. I told him he should have told me before making the appointment. Finally I saw the mechanic take my car in at 9:10 am. I decided to take a walk. I then missed their phone call at 9:53 am. A voicemail was left saying my car was ready.
I went and paid $240 and took my car. I called the day after and asked why was I charged $240 for labor when it took less than an hour. I was told it was a flat rate. I asked why wasn’t I told it was a flat rate when I called for a quote. I got an apology and I advised the employee to make sure he is clear next time someone asks for a quote.
I remain skeptical about the flat rate. I will go back but will make sure I ask questions and get a quote in writing.
I'll give a noStars getting the price of the phone and buy my own parts.And soon I got there for my appointment.He charged me $30 dollars for some brake cleaner.
I would definitely recommend them they are very helpful treat you very kindly and they are very knowledgeable Jeremy is very helpful he went over and beyond to help me saved me from spending a lot on my repair
I personally have not went here for my own car repair yet. But have sent numerous family members to get their cars repaired (after a friend referral) this place has done top notch work to my relatives cars. I would highly recommend this place for your mechanical work if you need it done for an affordable price
Worst shop and most dishonest shop I have ever been to. One of the mechanics never came back to work after I confronted him about my caliper bolt being loosened on my Cadillac. Bryant the manager purchased a firebird at very low cost from me after seeing it for sale and offered to put a v8 engine in because I already had a v-8 chastityput on which lifted the vehicle an inch in the front and an inch and a half in the back and cost me 3500 with documentation at KEYS AUTO ON GRATOT so that one day I would put the v8 305 in! + trans. I had the car about 14 yrs. never wanted to sell but he offered to do what I could only dream atm.

terrible work that put my life and others lives at risk on the road due to lack of knowledgeable mechanics. My jeep shook worse after the passenger side wheel baring and ball joint where replaced.

I took my vehicle in to get a broken wheel stud replaced. My vehicle is problematic in design and they were very nice in trying to make it fit before having me go out and buy additional parts. They were also fair in pricing for the additional work that they had to do.
We were traveling from Michigan to Florida when our check engine light went on in Florence, KY late at night. We rented a car from the nearby airport and left our car at Friendly 1 in hopes that they’d be able to look at it while we made our way down to Florida. They fixed our car while we were in Florida and kept in contact with us. I don’t know what we would’ve done had we not broke down in that area! Thanks Ivan!
Took my car in after an accident. The entire staff was amazing through a difficult situation and the prices are very reasonable. My family has found its new auto shop!
Not a happy customer at all. Very disappointed, I picked my car up in a worse condition. I brought my vehicle in for service which was for new brakes to be installed on the front (calipers, pads, rotors) and rear (drums, shoes, hardware). After dropping my vehicle off, I was called by the shop and they told me to pickup wheel cylinders, but when I arrived with them I realized they thought I was the owner of the WRONG car and my vehicle did not need them, I was returned the cylinders after the work was completed. When I picked the vehicle up after new parts were installed it was clear to me that the brakes weren’t installed well, my brakes were rubbing and the pedal was soft. I called and returned my vehicle again so they could fix what they should’ve already corrected. To my surprise when I picked my up vehicle today the shoes weren’t rubbing, but there was a new problem: the front end is now shaking violently when I brake. I called and I was told that the “rotors could have came warped, or it’s the ball-joint/control arms” which is unlikely and that “we will warranty the rotors when you bring it in for the control arms to be worked on”. What the evidence leads me to believe is that your techs damaged my rotors during installation the first time it was completed incorrectly and now you’re trying to get more work out of me to fix the damage you caused. I advise that the company owner reach out to me. Called the shop 9/3/24 after the owners response and Nick the owner was not available. They don’t know when he will be in and they do not have a number for him.
Went in to have an o2 sensor replaced ( near the catalytic converter) he said "it would be a few minutes" I ask how long it might take and was told a couple or hour, and I gave them the ok and the part. Just before they closed I called and asked about the car and was told it wouldn't be ready til the next day, no phone call...when I picked it up and dared to complain I was given the typical smoke up the a s s excuses.
Bryant is amazing always helpful, honest fast and fair. Usually whenever I have a mechanical issue these guys are fair and quick. Thank you it’s difficult to find great mechanics
So unprofessional, I’m calling the BBB. First my 2021 ram was towed up there.. 24 hours later they didn’t even know it was there! After talking to Bryan or whatever his name is, he gave me a quote, after my truck got there he tacked on so much money.. then today I find out they put a bad part on my car.. not only does he want me to pay 150.00 to inspect the car again (24 hrs later) but he also advised I would have to pay for labor. This is a hole in the wall repair shop that preys on women, and the urban community.. go to a reputable repair that when they give you a price, it won’t change once you get to the register and they have your car for ransom .. YOUVE BEEN WARNED
The management style has changed. My son needed work, his truck sat in the lot for a week before they got to it. Totally unsatisfactory. But I will say I love the fact that this place won't upcharge the parts that they install. I have had many successes with them. But time to get my vehicles back to me is the big issue.
Took my car in to get brake pads installed, the pads and brakes feel great. My complaint comes when I picked up my car the key fob was broken. They told me the battery died. Changing the battery did not help as the fob looked like it has been run over or squeezed hard. As it turns out they called last week to see about a good review from me. I told the guy Chris i think he was,, my story and it sounded like he was going to make it right. Well that was a week ago...so...
They only have to lie to me once... I'll never go back there. Makes me wonder if they cut corners in their repairs.
I highly recommend this auto shop to anyone!! I've been searching for a good place to take my personal cars without getting cheated and overpriced, but the manager Bill at this shop is well versed in what he does and treats everyone with respect. The mechanics under the manager have nothing but great things to say, and they do their job well! VERY EFFICIENT PLACE. I'm about to see if I can bring all of my business vehicles to get serviced next. Great place for anyone and any vehicle, they can do it all!!
Use to be a good place up until now. They were always pretty fair, honest and reasonable. New African American guy has taken over the counter and has a bad attitude. Poorly ran. Never calls with updates and they never complete work on time. I wouldn't trust them with more than minor routine stuff like brakes and rotors or similar basic jobs
Shysters! Last time they charged us $300 for diagnostics they didn't do! And before that didn't fix the head gasket which is now leaking again. Nick the owner only knows how to RIP his customers off which is why their business is hurting. Don't waste your time or money.
So it took them a 3rd time of back and forwards to the shop in 2 1/2 weeks time for them to finally fix my cars engine light coming on and off while driving. Jim at the service desk did the best he could in passing on the issue about my car engine light. The 3rd time returning to the Chrysler service shop. I had to request to speak to a supervisor or management of the service department. I spoke with Tim and he explained everything to me and other things he would do to fix the problem he also offered me a loner car for free until they fixed my car. It took 3 visits to fix my car but I thank Jim and Tim and the shuttle drivers for getting me back and forward to the shop. Tim also put more gas in the car at more then half and car was cleaned in the inside. So the problem ended up being a camshaft sensor gone bad. Hopefully the problem is completely fixed now. MY BABY IS HOME
I would have given them a 5 had the problem been fixed the 1st visit.
"Make sure they have your warranty written" seems they do not give written warranty's on their work, so beware before you select them, their work seems to be ok at best. Communication between mechanics and front desk is terrible. I simply didn't see a desire to have me satisfied as a customer when my car was brought back from a part that I bought through them that needed to be replaced. Bottom line I had to pay them again to have my car repaired after they repaired it less than two months ago... Once they get you to pay, I felt like I was just a number and not a customer anymore!
This was my first time at this place and i will be back! They are extremely reasonable and does good, fast and reliable work! I was scared because I am a woman and you know the rumors about women being overcharged, well not here! Chris was amazing and everyone that works there live up to the name of the company. Take your cars here, i promose that you won't be disappointed!

Staffs are honest and they did a great with affordable rate. Definitely will come back and do all my car repairs here. They replaced my outer tie rod, rear brakes-calipers-rotors, and headlight unit (whole thing). Other places charge about $1400 and this place cut my expense in half.
Nice guys clean shop. They keep it real and too the point and no scamming none. They are good guy's thank you for all your hard work and working thru the pandemic so people can get back n forth n keep the jobs they have too keep their roofs over their heads n food on the table all for the greater good. Took my car to replace the front brakes and rotors, I ended up having to replace the front calipers as well, i bought all the parts, the labor was 183$ out the door. He took care of me within 3 hours of dropping off the car and showed me all of the extremely bad parts. Honest and quick guys i recommend them. Thanks Will, they legit!!
I have been going to this shop for over 20 years. I starting when it was on the opposite side of the building. Nick is the owner and I can say that he is such a cool dude. Chris now runs the shop and Omg, he is the coolest, sweetest, and most truthful mechanic I've ever met. He's a guy who will let you know what is and what isn't and won't try to sell you on fixing what's not broken. If you want an honest mechanic, check this place out.
Wow. I am so impressed. Chris treated me with respect, understanding, handled everything wrong with my car, and gave me an incredible price... I have found my new shop. As a woman, my stomach always gets tied in a knot when I need a car repair... I walked in, I was immediately put at ease, and treated with kindness and a very very fair attitude. They were very helpful, and had a great turnaround time.
I have trusted them with my vehicle as well as my husbands for the past 17 years. They are the best mechanics in Metro Detroit. They have always been 100% honest and they stand true to their name.
