If I can give 0 stars I would. They sold me a already used product, I didn’t know and kept it with me until it was time to use to fix the part I needed, it turned out that the product was used and painted to be new and stuff missing from it and I couldn’t use it. As you can see in the photo. When I go to return it they turned me down even though it wasn’t my fault. I will not be coming here anymore and will tell my friends and also my customers the same!!

This place is impossible to deal with. It’s as if the parts you call and order disappear into thin air and not a single sales rep is able to help you find your part. Third time this has happened and will definitely be the last. It seems like i need to drive an hour and a half to the actual store to figure out what the issue is. I do not recommend this place to anyone and they need to be shut down based on these reviews!
FIRE ISMAEL IMMEDIATELY. Worst sales person ive ever seen. Ordered a quarter panel cut and this guy sends the wrong cut and never ever answers the phone when we call them. Ive been holding up customers because this car has been waiting on the cut on the frame machine. Very unprofessional!!
If you're shopping with them online be very cautious. I ordered a side view mirror with matching paint codes in their provided description alongside photos. Did not receive what I ordered. They sent me what they wanted. If it wasn't available then cancel my order. How hard is that? Now I have to go through eBays return process. It was supposed to be a DARK CHERRY. I received silver.

Fenix auto parts, purchased this company and all its assets- but will not help several customers having engines or transmission's warranty issues. Talked to someone today who said all American and Imports problems are not his problems- so all you out there with 3 year part and labor warranties on remans purchased from me are told to kick rocks if your part goes bad. They refuse to help 4 of my current customers and former customers who used to do business with American and Import before the buy out.
Take your business elsewhere and remember I am still in the industry and I am located in Fraser now and would love to earn and retain your business.
Not very competent in the billing department. I was charged twice for a core for the same part. The second time I was receiving a replacement, because the first one was damaged. And they still charged me a core. Additionally, with that one I had to call a half a dozen times and send a number of emails to receive the refund for the Core. I should’ve never been charged in the first place. Who has time to Chase refunds on charges that are not even valid? They could definitely improve.
Ordered a fender and they damaged it so they just substituted it for one of a different color and one that was rusty. Then they tried to blame us saying it was our fault for not calling and confirming that they actually had the correct part before showing up. Terrible customer service and performance would not recommend to anyone.
Recently needed a door for my van, Tyler took the time to check my VIN to make sure the paint code was right, had it sent over from one of their other locations, and called me when it arrived. The guys at S+R let me take it outside and verify it matched. Everyone was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thanks American/ Phoenix auto parts. I'll definitely shop here again.
Bought a rear end paid top dollar because was told it was in excellent condition out of state clean. Even paid to have it delivered. Received it looking like it was tossed from the forklift bent up backing plates brakes busted up even sent them pictures. Looked fresh from a Michigan winter plow truck. Called back and only asked for shipping back at minimum because the picture they sent us it was undamaged when we bought it. 3 calls in told every time let me talk with our shipping department never even got a call back.
I bought a transmission for my truck the staff was extremely helpful in making sure I got exactly the right one for my vehicle.. upon arrival the front office was very pro in making sure they found my order quickly. Even took the time to help me load up the part.. thank you for your wonderful experience and will recommend you anyone anytime!

Living in Grand Rapids, I found the rims for my 2012 Jeep at American & Import AP. Personable, knowledgeable and friendly, Steve was awesome , by sending close up pictures to make sure they were what I wanted. To save time and energy, he referred me to a local tire shop to have the rims swapped out. I can't say enough about Steve, and the team at American & Import Auto Parts. My experience was worth every mile driven.
Great customer service. I recently purchased a part forgeting to confirm color on my vehicle. I installed the part to final discover my mistake. Call American Import to explain my issue. They didn't have a replacement but provide a 90 day return policy. I expected to get a restock charge but it was waived. I was happy to hear my mistake was overlooked. Team proved prompt and accurate assistance. I will call them next time. Thanks American Import.
I worked with Steve Owens to get a transmission for my vehicle. I showed up in person, but with the restrictions they were pretty strict. He still helped me out. Got photos uploaded of the part. He made sure to explain the warranty, core charge, pallet charge, and mention a delivery charge if I wanted the part delivered. It did take a bit of time. He was upfront and told me the delivery was short staffed and it might take a few days. I'm very patient so it didn't bother me all that much. Got delivered to my shop and the part appeared good. Part was installed and it works. Hopefully I wont have to use the warranty, but I paid extra for the reassurance. Satisfied, might come back if I need an engine lol.
Polite and professional sales reps but, unfortunate bad experience when parts arrived from their affiliates. Ordered 2 front lower rearward control arms, 1 was incorrect, and the correct one was terribly misrepresented to be a Grade A part and it wasn't, the bushings were cracked terribly worn and shrinking. My issue is I paid for these parts prior to receiving them. American & Import parts may want to quality check parts they order from their out of town affiliates before requiring payment. KUDOS to rep tho, he did refund my money.
They are terrible....I ordered an tailgate and paid in full upfront plus the delivery ( even they advertised free delivery). The parts were supposed to arrive on Monday and now it's almost Friday and no parts ( they assured me the parts will deliver on Monday). Every time I call they sell me just lies, like the parts will be delivered any minute because they are on the road. Most of the parts they advertise are coming from a different company, them being just the middle man. Like I said, terrible experience ! Do yourself a favor and order from a different place to save...some stress.
Excellent service. Recommended 3 different shops in area for foreign engine replacement in '17 Nissan. Engine had 7k miles and checked out VIN on carfax. They even dropped off engine and picked up core at no charge. Car runs as new. Best price around too. Very happy camper here.
A very sad and depressing place to go to. I waited three days for a part because it was the same color. After getting there to pick it up they make you wait in the car 30 minutes after bringing the part out it looks like someone spray-painted the part to try to match the same color. He got mad and upset because I did not want the hood. Even though I bought another part from them and they overcharged me by five dollars did not notice until I got home. Parts prices where no different then online just wanted to support our local businesses. This is exactly why some people don’t support local businesses. because of people like this. Definitely not recommended
My family and I have purchased multiple parts from American and Import over the years. I can honestly say that every part that I have bought has been in great working order. Chris always works with me to make sure I get the right part and at a fair price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I bought a transfer case for a customer from American and Import auto parts back in September, and brought them the core. A few days later, The transfer case leaked 2 quarts of oil. We had to take the truck back and repair it. I called them up and requested that we have a check for all the labor and oil, etc. Kern and I agreed on a price and I was told we were going to get the check sent to us. A month later, no check. I call Kern and explain we haven't received it yet, he seems worried and says they are going to cancel the check they sent out and send us another one. Couple weeks later, still no check. So I call again and he told me that he would have a driver personally deliver it to me, that was weeks ago and still haven't received anything! I am very dissatisfied. Today is 11/18/19 and I left kern another voicemail. Hoping we get our labor and parts money for a part we had to spend time fixing.
I asked for a quote on Monday for a part online and over the phone. It was $50. I posted the photo as a proof. When I arrived 3 days later (Friday) they changed the price to $75 and they said they will not respect their own quote. I wouldn’t recommend the company that plays games with their customers like that.

Both of the parts (broken or in good condition) were priced $50. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED PICTURE AS A PROOF. Also when I was inside the store I was told that the price was changed yesterday (Thursday 6/28/18) since you didn’t want to sell the good part at the price of the broken. Therefore your explanation doesn’t comply with the truth.
You can do with your price what you want that is your business. But you should have respect the quote that was given to the customer (both online or over the phone).
I still do not recommend this place.
Didn't have what I needed in stock but got it faster than online and in the time promised for a competitive price. A little confused where to get when I got there but figured it out. Hint go into the small building that kind of looks like a house first, pay there and the pick up your part at the big door of the bigger building. I like that this is still a traditional salvage yard that has the parts off and ready for you and if they don't have it they can get it. The u pick yards have their place but I am willing to pay for the parts already removed. I will definitely be getting parts from here again.
Great business! Even better service. Ordered a transmission for a Pt cruiser. It had less miles than more expensive ones from other yards and a lower price. Talk about service this company delivers your part and will return to pick up your core so you don't have to worry about getting your car dirty. The prices and service are so good I would check with this company first before I deal with someone else and you should too.
