Had one of my cars impounded from a customer of mine that rented my car customer that had gotten arrested and the impound took the car with all his belonging when I went to get the car the impound lot stole a phone that was in the car and told me that it was not in there . But when my customer checked find my iPhone it clearly shows the phone at the impound lot
I understand that no one likes paying to get there car back after it’s been towed but this guy just made it 100 times more complicated and was horribly disrespectful he cussed me out because when he asked me to leave 10 minutes before his break I told him I’m not leaving because it’s not the time you guys aid you take your break he made me wait a whole hour and he even came back 15 minutes late but just because it’s state owned they can treat people any way they want I guess
John was very polite and professional. It’s never fun to get a car totaled and towed but he took care of my boyfriend and answered all his questions that he had. He let us take our time cleaning out his Jeep also.
The owner is a legal car thief. DONT make the mistake of getting impounded in Sterling Heights, you will never be able to get you car back again. How do I know? I’ve had the unfortunate experience of dealing with “john” twice. He should change his name to hitler of the impound yard. And john(owner) if your reading this I hope you get back the karma you deserve
Impounded my car at the same time that their office was closed. I had to wait over a week until I could get my vehicle back, and they proceeded to tell me that, on top of compounded interest from daily charges, I had to pay an extra 100$ to get my car towed, by them, outside of the gate of the impound lot. They won’t allow AAA to tow your vehicle from the lot OR the vicinity of the lot, that’s how they make you pay them to tow your vehicle.
Owner is most definitely an a****le. He didn't tell me that they were gonna charge me $200 a day to get my car out of there. 3 weeks later he says I owe $1100. I called a tow truck to come get it. They can't come in there. So he wants to charge me $100 to tow it to the entrance. Plus he wanted me to pay in cash. Like I have that much on me. So now I gotta wait another day so he can charge me another $200. Gahhhh
I'm not one to easily give out compliments, but I have to say that my recent experience at the impound lot was surprisingly positive. I worked with John, and he was both respectful and kind.
As a guy who values toughness and respect, I appreciated the nod that John gave me when we interacted. It was clear that he was treating me with the same level of respect that I was giving him. And even though he didn't have to go out of his way to be kind, he did so anyway, which I admired.
In a situation where tempers can flare and people can be on edge, John's kindness and professionalism stood out. It made a difference in how I felt about the whole experience.
I don't know how anyone would have a need for an impound lot or how anyone even looks to use an impound lot, but if you ever need one, I would highly recommend this one above all. And if you're lucky enough to work with John, you'll see what I mean about his exceptional customer service.

Was in a accident and my truck was towed there. The driver was compassionate and understanding of what just happened to me. Mind you I was roughed up pretty badly. Still dizzy with serious headaches today. I had to go get my belongings and the guy at the counter was very helpful. For a towing/wrecker service I am very impressed. Great quality customer service. Very helpful to me when my son was in a car accident and the car was towed there! I had never had to go there before and the worker was very nice explaining things to me! If you have to go there just make sure you have your license, insurance, registration and any paperwork the police officer gave you! Hours were good also Monday- Friday 9am-6pm closed for lunch 12-1pm Saturday 9am- 1pm Sunday closed
Car got impounded there me and the manager had a misunderstanding and I was very upset. But he was very professional and I appreciate the business and personal manner he conducted himself with. Never fun to have your car impounded but I’m glad it was here.
Absolutely horrible. My car was towed here by mistake by firestone (my mechanic shop). I had hit something while driving on the freeway and my oil pan exploded and it ended up blowing my engine.. The issue with the wrongful tow was eventually fixed but the man who worked at this impound was rude and didnt want to let the tow truck driver into his lot to be able to access my car. He wanted me to drive my own car out of his lot. I told him the engine was blown and that would not be possible and he admitted to the fact that he had already drove my car and that he knows it still drives so i can just drive it out. He damaged my engine and its counterparts even more than they already were and was very unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile towards me.

My brother had his impounded 9/26/2021 and when he picked the next day he was missing his change jar he had,3 packs of cigs, and his fire proof safe . why did he have a safe lol he was in the middle of moving out of his gf house when it got impounded.
Yeah so not only are they rude and cold they are THIEVES ..and of course when called they say oh we don't have on record a safe being in there Well DUH cuz y'all took the MFER.
Car was impounded, owners of the lot were super understanding. Car was there for 3 days and i was only charged 257$ plus towing fees but the towing company has its own fees which is understandable. They easily let me get belongings out of my car and my house keys from the keychain. Thanks ! Quick tip, have your vehicle title ready.
A detailed account of my experience:
The most horrible place. My sister was rear ended and the police had her car impounded to this place. I tried to pay for the fees but they wouldn’t let me because the owner’s OWN PERSONAL “policy” - the owner is the only one who can pay for the vehicle. A disgusting ploy to make sure that the person who got into the accident be forced to either pay immediately or pick up their car at a later time to rack up more fees as it is a 200 per day charge. The most absurd thing I have EVER heard. If they are getting paid in full for the charges, why would it matter if it is being paid off of mine or her card? What if she did not have the funds? Or a credit card for that matter? Also, they won’t allow our insurance company to send a tow truck to pick up her car and I am assuming this is so that you are forced to use their own towing company, which is just accruing more fees. Mind you, these are again all fees that the owner has to pay with his/her credit card due to this “policy.” If you can avoid it, please DO NOT come here as this company does not deserve the business of those who have just recently been in an accident - my opinion is that it is just a ploy to get as much money as possible from those already having to deal with their car issues.
I had a very positive experience retrieving items ftom my wrecked vehicle. The lot manager was very courteous and friendly both on the phone and in person. I was in and out in 5 minutes.
Terrible experience. Front desk gentlemen was externally rude and denied me to grab my home keys off my keychains. Unprofessional & rude. No respect with the way he spoke with me. I’d recommend new staff if possible! Terrible.
I have to say this place is very unprofessional and has no business being a company. Staff & Managment very confrontational from the very start of the call. I was inquiring about any of my belongs being at the location where the vehicle was impounded. Very nasty attitude from some guy who tried to beat around my questions as if he had something to hide. Crooks to say the least.
Horrible experience. They towed my car from an accident a half a mile away and charged me 220$ just for that or they said they'll give me 150$ if they can keep it.
