This owner exemplifies the worst qualities, showcasing poor communication skills and an unprofessional demeanor. His behavior was consistently rude, condescending, militant, abrasive, and unkind. It is baffling that he remains in business.
After my daughter's car was towed to this location due to a serious accident, the owner proved to be extremely challenging to work with. We arrived just before noon, intending to have another tow company transport her vehicle to a different shop, but the owner demanded a one-hour wait, citing his lunch break. Moreover, he prohibited another tow company from entering his property, opting to tow my daughter's car to the street while exhibiting extreme rudeness.
Called and was onsite in 15 minutes, loaded truck onto bed and drove to location quick and efficient. First time having a tow needed and always dreaded it, this ended up being no hassle and easy. Great job!

Very friendly and fast. I had a flat tire today and called my insurance roadside Assistance, They told me my wait was going to be 93 minutes. I didn’t feel safe on the side of the expressway So I googled the nearest tow shop near me and called this company. They came to my rescue Within 15 minutes. Even though they couldn’t help me with my spare because I didn’t have a real spare( basically a blow up tire) They towed me to the nearest tire place where everything worked out fine in the end.

I wish I would’ve gotten the name of the man who helped me but he was so lovely. They were 30 minutes late but when I called asking if they were still coming, the man on the phone apologized many times and told me they just got busy and are sending someone out. It took only 10 minutes maybe after that. All he did was give me a jump and some knowledge too.
Called for a tow due to my truck experiencing some sort of acceleration issue. Originally I was quoted $349 to tow 32 miles. I called back and stated I found a mechanic shop close by that was 15 miles away. The driver "Joe" told me it would $320 instead. He also told me I needed to pay upfront because he has trouble in the past towing to Detroit.
I dont appreciate being overcharged nor being profiled! As a business owner myself I couldn't believe what he stated. Potential customers are already having a difficult time and calling this company will only increase it. I highly would not recommend!!!!
You guys have some of the most unsafe, reckless drivers, EVERY.SINGLE.MORNING I watch the same guy FLY down vandyke going well over 70mph weaving in and out of traffic than has the audacity to flip people off in a company vehicle. Truly crazy I have it all on film aswell
One star only because you can't give zero Stars. This family owned piece of crap company that doesn't tell people that they don't take AAA ahead of time. Then they come out to your house and refuse to leave until you pay them $45 for coming out there. Sure glad I'm not part of your family I'm sure you screw them over too. Don't tell an 18-year-old girl and an 80 year old man ahead of time you don't take triple A and then refuse to leave their home before getting payment from them. Courteous I think not.
The service I received yesterday was outstanding. From the time I called to the estimated time of arrival (which was exact and not long), I received exceptional service. Dave was top-notch! Extremely professional and the kindest, most personable individual I've encountered in a while. I truly appreciate your assistance!! Would highly recommend this company.
My car wouldn't start and I called 3 other towing services, none of them answered their phone. Then I called Utica Van Dyke Towing. They answered the phone and got a tow truck to my location within 30 minutes. Joel L, the tow driver was fantastic. He got my vehicle loaded up and to my mechanic, he had to push my car out of the carport to get it on the truck. I knew I was in competent hands with Joel. I felt very safe riding with him in the truck. He was professional and kind. I would absolutely recommend Utica Van Dyke Towing Service! My truck broke down on m53 I called them they said 125 to hook up and $9 a mile I only needed it to go 4 miles so tow truck got here and said cash or card I told him I didn't feel comfortable giving him my card number to write down but I could go get cash he went and talked to someone in his truck and they told him to leave. I called back when I got cash and he said he couldn't help me to call someone else....RUDE AND DONT RECOMMEND
They were quick and on time. Driver was polite and took extra care getting my car on the flatbed. It was a 28 mile ride, and the car arrived at its destination without any issues. I would definitely use them again. Thanks!
Very efficient. Had a flat on the way to a reunion. They came within 20 minutes and service was excellent!! Jason was very nice and so was the driver that came with the air truck. I called the first company I saw and I don't regret it. Very efficient!!
If I could give rate them with 0 stars, I most definitely would. The driver was polite and understanding, however, office staff was unbelievable (in a negative way). Straight up discrimination. He treated me as if I was uneducated idiot. I came in to obtain information on how to get my car out of there only to be slammed with incomplete bits and pieces of information because I didn't want to use their services anymore. The guy literally thought I was an idiot. Having insurance license for more than 20 years I know exactly what liability, worker's comp and additional insured mean. I felt as me speaking with an accent and being a woman gave him grounds to treat me with lack of respect. As soon as I came up with proper documentation that I was told to obtain, something else was added to the list. I understand procedure/policies but the I formation was nit provided fir me to make a firm and educated decision. Instead, I wasted 6 hours working with this towing company oy to fet nowhere. Horrible customer service.

I called Utica Van Dyke Towing and was back on the road in less than 15 minutes. Kevin unlocked my car and was very friendly. They were upfront about the out of pocket cost which was $89.
I locked myself out of my car and didn’t realize it until after my morning run on the trail. The man I talked to on the phone and the guy that came out to help were both very nice. From the time I called to the time I was able to get into my car and leave only took 20 minutes. Will definitely come back to these guys if I need any of their services.
If I could give 0 stars I would! This place needs to be shut down. I called for a tow through my insurance company only to learn that they could not come on the property. Even after being told if they have liability insurance they could. They made the tow driver wait on the side of the road for someone to pull my car out for him to put it on the truck. My driver was through AAA which the company that was dispatched for me asking if they had tow liability they said yes. Even after the driver showing said paperwork they still would not let him on the property. They want you basically to use their tow so they can over charge you. How is it that it would cost $231 dollars to take a car 9miles. Also not to mention the fees to get the car. I was even charged a leakage fee of $25. Never showed where te leakage was. Are you serious it’s a junk yard it’s leakage all over the ground. This place is horrible and the man that’s there running the show has no teeth and spitting everywhere when he talks. This place should be shut down IMMEDIATELY!!! The worst ever!!!

Amazing! Such a great experience using this company. Was heading to my daughters dance competition and I got a flat tire on M59. Receptionist who took call was very professional, friendly, and calming (as she could tell I was stressed). Tow truck came in about 20 minutes. Service tech/employee was friendly and informative. He quickly changed my tire and had my daughter on our way to her dance competition. Thank you so much for the great service! Heroes of the day!
Do not believe anything that you read on the website or what your told by the workers here at Utica Van Dyke Towing Service. I called on 3 seperate occasions and talked to 3 different workers who all gave me 3 different times that the business was open. The 3rd person I talked to was a woman that worked in the office that told me that the hours were 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m. for Saturday(not posted anywhere on the website) and also did not tell me that they store all of there vechiles at a seperate location. Now Saturday being the only time I was actually able to come to pick up my vechile due to my work scheudle both me and my brother attempted to retrieve my car.
I initially wasn't able to retrieve my car that inital Saturday as the 2 roadside assistance calls I made to AAA were cancelled and the owner didn't want to wait until noon for AAA to arrive. I had to come back the following Saturday to which the only person there was the owner who was trying to tell me he is closing at 10:30a.m. because he stayed out late at the casino the night prior. I convinced the owner to stay and called AAA again, but after I talked to the tow truck company that was supposed to pick up my car and told them where my car was located they refused to come and hungup on me.
I got back on the phone with AAA and they told me that that my vechile would need to be outside the gate for the tow truck company to come pick it up. I discussed this with the owner who told me he would charge me $120 to move 2 vechiles that was blocking my car to bring it outside the gate in top of initial tow as well as there $30 a day storage fee. Shortly after AAA cancelled the 4th roadside assistance request and since the owner was going to close at 10:30a.m. to avoid having my vechile there a 3rd week I paid to have my car towed from Utica Van Dyke Towing to my parents house in St. Clair. Shores.
Though before the owner gave me a quote for the Towing service he was VERY INTERESTED in where I worked as I had on dress clothes. I paid him in cash as apperantly there credit card machine has been broken for months which nobody told me prior and information again wasn't provided on the website. The owner quickly changed his tune of wanting to leave early once he saw the cash in my hands. Come to find out afterwards by the owner that there has never been 1 successful roadside assitance request to pick up any vechile from there lot, but yet AAA is still listed on the Utica Van Dyke Towing Service website that they do. The owner knowing all of this watched me struggle with AAA 2 Saturday's in row for hours without bothering to tell me.
Eventually the tow truck driver from Utica Van Dyke Towing Service arrived and my car was towed to my parents house and I had to argue with the tow truck driver who wanted to leave my car in the street instead of in my parents clear driveway. I don't understand why people contract with this company. When I initially went to go inspect my car the first Saturday all of my doors were open when they were all locked prior when they came to pick it up. Now I know why the police officer asked me to take out anything of value from my car before the tow truck company arrived.
This was an all around terrible experience that could have went a lot smoother if I was provided accurate information and the owner didn't rip me off with his outlandish prices that was not only based on how desperate I was, but my dress attire along with my current occupation as well.
Came out of work at 6 am to a completely flat tire. Called several 24 hr towing companies in a panic, but no one answered. With 5% battery life left on my phone, I finally called Utica Van Dyke towing. They said someone will be there in 20 minutes. They arrived as promised. Found me in our massive parking lot with little help from me. Changed my tire quickly and checked to make sure it was properly inflated. (It wasn't. They had to add some air.) The driver was very courteous and efficient and quickly got me on my way. I would definitely use their service again.
Very fast and friendly service and I mean fast service we were broke down on m59 and mound road with a flat tire and we call this company in which the tow driver chris h was there within 10 min and we were hooked up and off to belle tire! I highly recommend them and this driver chris h deserves a raise bravo

I locked my car key in the trunk of my P71, which had the cab locked, as well. My car has a feature where you can not pop the trunk without the key in the ignition.
I called Utica Van Dyke Towing Services with 1% battery on my phone. The woman who answered the phone was calm and understanding of the circumstances. Within 60 seconds, she took my vehicle information, quoted me for the service, and said that she had sent someone named Dave to come help me, that he would be there within 10 minutes.
Dave arrived within 3 minutes and helped me break into my car - first the cab and then the trunk! My car has ballistic panelling enclosing the trunk, by the way, so breaking into the trunk takes some critical thinking!) The work was quick and inefficient, and at an astoundingly reasonable price!
(Absolutely no damage was done to my car in the process.)

Great company, very professional. The driver arrived very quickly and was extremely helpful. He diagnosed my battery issue in seconds and got my vehicle started, and gave me great advice on my battery maintenance. When I made the call to have the towing service come out I spoke to the owner, Dino. He was extremely professional and understanding of my situation. He said they would have a truck there in 15 minutes, but it only took 5! This is the best experience I've ever had with a towing company, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs towing service.
