Customer service from the yard guys absolutely suck super rude even when they bring there own trucks in they don’t funnel the traffic correctly and I’ll make you sit there for over a half hour to diddle daddle . Prices for the scrap are gross iv been taking thousand of pounds here come to find out I’m being extremely shorted it was just local super small yard I won’t be back .. one of the crew tried blocking me into the shred area and then proceeded to laugh about it and sit there and just talk to .. I drive a work truck so I just backed into the scrap and peeled off extremely unprofessional . I highly recommend anyone to go somewhere else if you want quick quality customer service with better pricing if you have a trailer and take it here have fun I won’t take my trailers here and risk popping tires .
I have gone to this yard for several years and keep going back because of the service being too notch and I always get better prices than everywhere else pays. The workers have even given tips on how to get the most for my scrap! I will always recommend Admiral Metals for sure!

Been there a couple times and was in and out. Fair on prices. Just feel it's bull on waiting 3 days to be paid out for copper/brass. I understand waiting for catalytic converters, but not copper or brass!
Obvious situations like someone stealing stuff to scrap, one would think it would be obvious signs! Not everyone is a thief!!!!
However it's the stupid law and not Admiral metals doing nor fault.
Otherwise nice useful place to scrap. Nice friendly employees and helpful.Wish they had weekend hours Saturday and Sunday when people have more time to take their scrap there.
I bring my scrap copper wire from my job sites here. They have the best prices around, and the guys that work here are awesome. I never have to wait. The minute I pull into their lot, someone is driving a hi-lo over to help me. The parking and unloading area is big, so there's no backups, and it's not really that muddy on rainy days. If you're looking for a place to take scrap, this is it!!!!!
Very good service, dropped off catalytic converters just to recycle. An employee chased after me out the door to tell me they were worth something. Honest and good staff recommend 100%

I don’t know what I would do without these guys. I am so glad that I picked this up as a side gig and also to help me get paid for cleaning! Everytime I come here it’s fast and the layout is great! The workers here are very nice and helpful to there. It’s a very fair place to get paid if you do what they say. Experience is a plus in this line of work. Everybody wins here! Tysm guys and gals! ;)
I have to say that I was not happy with the experience I received at this scrapyard. I would never leave a negative review unless I felt it was justified. The reason it is a two star review is because one of the managers came out and explained their policy to me which I think is completely wrong. I completely understand that the spreads on scrapping wire for them are very tight. However, my money is my money, and their money is their money. I took in quite a bit of copper wire, which takes a couple days to process, and I am fine with that. I also scrapped a considerable amount of aluminum wire. I was given $15.72 for the aluminum. I’m not going to go back-and-forth about how much the aluminum wire is worth. The person processing it told me you will get $15.72 back for the wire. I agreed and went to the ATM machine to take out the $15.72. The ATM machine gave me $15 and I was wondering where my $.72 is. I do not care about the $.72 to be quite frank but that is not their money. After I had already went to the ATM machine, they said that it states on the receipt that they do not give out change. That is fine as long as you tell your processor to tell the customer that that will be the case. A manager came out to explain to me that he would not be giving me change so I asked for my material back. He stated that they had already begun processing the material and would not be willing to give me the wire back.
If you know me, you know that I am not cheap. I do not care about the $.72. I do not think it is right for any company to take what is not theirs. This company does this all day long on every job. I wish them the best of luck with their business, but I will not be taking my business here again.
The worst place ever. From the second I pulled in the gate I could tell there was going to be an issue. Got totally ripped off most importantly- and when I questioned it- I was made to feel like an idiot.. well- he tried at least. It’s because I’m a female- this place is completely awful- Rude as ever, and mostly liars. They took the valuable stuff I had and set it aside- they stole- right from their own company- I wasn’t sure if the protocol so again when he told me what I had to do- it was condescending as if he was better… but because I already felt so uncomfortable I just left without getting any of the money they didn’t scam me out of. People are the worst. At least now I know never to come back- but you shouldn’t either.

We have been very happy with this business since we started visiting in 2020. Staff is friendly, respectful, and helpful. Also, they have plenty of competent staff, so the facility runs efficiently. Easy to access location and well-organized operations. Best prices around!
This yard was just recommended to me, glad I went. Very helpful staff, great prices for steal and copper. Had a literal ton of compressors, they brought a bin out with a fork lift. Last place just pointed at a the carts, you guys know the ones. I’ll be back for sure. Thanks guys

Out of all the scrap yards I have been to, Admiral Metals is by far the most convenient. Even though I have moved farther away, I still come here for the great customer service and ease of process. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have never had a piece of metal give me a flat tire here either as the workers tend to keep the driving lanes clear of debris. They always give the best price for scrap and they have Saturday hours. They go out of their way to keep customers happy. Thank you Admiral!!!!
Just went back to Admiral Metals because my local scrap yard closed. Its been almost 10 years since I was at admiral and my experience back then was not as good as last week. First the place is 100% cleaner than it was years ago. I remember the parking lot being a mine field of parts that destroy any military tire. Second was the staff. Very nice and willing to talk and help. Again the worn out staff they had years ago seemed on the edge of postal if you know what I mean. In any case could not be happier with this visit and I am impressed with how far they have come. Thanks to all the staff at Admiral, keep up the good work.
These guys are fantastic. Great to see a family owned business doing things right. Scrap yards can be tough places to get honest answers, but my experience today at admiral metals proves some places think differently. This place has obviously grown a lot since I last was here (about 8 years ago) and it is easy to see why. Brandon at the weigh-in scale was knowledgeable, friendly, honest, and did a great job explaining things as he weighed and processed my metal. The pricing was fantastic, much better than I expected, and I think that is because they do a lot of processing work in house. (I watched some guys tear down my scrap before I left.) they didn’t charge me extra for this, they paid me a great price. Also, I brought in a small sample of an exotic alloy, which they happily analyzed with an XRF analyzer for free. I’ve been to a lot of scrap yards, and they all do some version of what I described here, but this place does it 10x as good. 6 stars out of 5.
I've been coming here for years. It seems like every time I'm here, the process has been improved just a little bit. Their pay out is on par with most places. Sometimes it's a little less, but for the ease of service, I don't mind losing a couple bucks.
Admiral metals is by far the best scrapyard I have ever had the pleasure doing buisness with! They are always friendly and recognize regulars. Their prices are always fair and worth taking my scrap too. I would give them more than 5 stars if possible!
I never write reviews. I really felt like I should this time.... Everyone there is kind, happy, and easy to talk to. From the owner, to the guy directing me, to the guy helping me unload, and the guy processing the scrap inside.... They are happy and polite. Seriously going to be the only place I deal with. Keep up the good work. Just being polite and understanding goes a long way.
Very cool people. Helpful and down to earth. I brought back lead and the one kid got me 5¢ more per pound. I walked out with almost $400. I tipped the two best workers(in my opinion) $20 a piece. Do yourself a favor and take all of you're scrap here
Normally, we are in and out and are always treated fairly. Today, unfortunately, we had an encounter with one of the employees who began throwing a fit that we were not parked in the proper place. It would be one thing if we were asked nicely to move, or if we were parked in a spot that had a no parking sign. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but I can easily take my business elsewhere if that's how you'd like to treat clients that come in on a regular basis.
Today was my first visit to Admiral Metals today and I was 100% glad I chose them. I have dealt with other area recycling companies in the past and I usually have to deal with crabby employees that don't care about helping you because they don't want to work there. The employees at Admiral were very nice, accommodating, helpful and honestly pleasant to deal with. I will be doing all my recycling at Admiral from now on. Give your employees a pat on the back because they deserve it!
