Tow truck driver recommended Banner Auto Service instead of the dealership since it was a weekend and claimed the gate would be closed. I needed a new battery and was charged $600.

What was a very scary situation have a flat tire on a boat trailer on a major freeway at night could have been a nightmare. It turned out to be a very safe and put my family at ease. I contacted Boat US and explained the situation we were in. They said they would contact a Towing Company in the area and get back with me. Emails & Text Messages were exchange. Within 15 minutes were were contacted and Official Towing would be within 45 minutes. When the driver arrived he explained what he was going to do and asked me to pull forward and center my SUV and trailer on the shoulder of the expressway. Car and semi trucks speed by at 70+mph. The driver disconnected the trailer from my SUV and asked me to pull forward. He positioned wrecker and wenched the boat and trailer onto the tilt bed and secured the load. We merged onto the expressway and proceeded to my house. Upon arrival the driver proceeded to back into my driveway and unload the boat & trailer. It was an amazing experience to see how the driver operated. Mike was a true professional. He went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and nothing was damaged she he unloaded. I want to compliment Mike as an outstanding employee and truly a remarkable individual.
I can’t thank Aaron enough for the incredible service I received. Not only did he arrive quickly, but he went above and beyond to help! He handled everything with professionalism, patience, and kindness, even helping me with the situation most wouldn’t have. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about their customers, and this driver absolutely does. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable, compassionate tow service.

UPDATE: company still has not reached out to my emails or called to follow up on this incident which I think is very telling. I know you are seeing this review because you are very responsive to the positive ones. Not offering any sort of resolution or even an acknowledgment of the behavior of your staff is concerning. Time has passed, but I have not forgotten what happened. You have my email and you have two phone contacts... feel free to reach out at any time.
I unfortunately did not have a positive experience with this company. My car was being towed (okay, it was parked in a private lot), but after I paid 250 for the drop fee, the driver got upset with my partner and threatened to impound the car. I already had a receipt in my hand. The driver placed the money on my car's windshield and said I did not pay. The driver then attempted to rip the receipt out of my hand saying that I did not pay. After a lot of back and forth, I was finally able to drive away, but when I asked for a new receipt since mine was ripped in multiple pieces, I was told no. I understand towing out of a private lot, but I paid the drop fee and then was told I did not. To have a receipt ripped out of my hand felt really bad. The driver did also show his firearm at the beginning of the interaction which felt uncomfortable.
The driver also hit my partner several times in the chest and threatened to hit them with the towing hook. I do not think that violence is ever a solution to frustration, and it does not seem professional to me at all to act in that way when you are representing a company.
Brian #196 towed my car out of the high water from the torrential rains this past Monday- July 28th (Lakeland St and Jefferson, St.Clair Shores). He was very kind and polite. Brian reassured me the car would be towed the following day to my dealership - which was across town. He even offered to pick up the key fob from my house. Brian’s son towed the car to the dealership.
I would recommend this towing company especially Brian if you need the service.
I have needed towing services twice in the past 24 hours. I consider the referral to Official Towing to be one of the greatest gifts I could’ve received at the time.

Several people have tried to reach out to this business about their driver threatening and physically confronting someone on Vernor. They’ve said nothing. No accountability, no investigation, no response. That tells you everything you need to know about their values.
Chris is an outstanding tow truck operator. Chris got the job done quickly but safely. I would highly recommend official towing and their friendly knowledge staff.
Had the best experience with official tow. Only took them 45 mins to get to me. I was stuck on the side of 94. The driver was so nice and helpful. Helped me get out of my car and into the truck safely & talked to me all the way to discount tire, because I was nervous. I felt really safe and I was grateful for how seamless and easy this made an annoying situation. As a woman it’s really nice to feel safe when needing someone to drive you. I would recommend using you guys to anyone I know! Thank you.
This company is part of the constant predatory towing happening on Vernor Hwy. I saw their driver get aggressive with someone even after the situation looked resolved. He tried to re-hook the car and started grabbing at the driver. It was hostile and unnecessary.
Terrible business. Extremely rude dispatch, extremely rude and unprofessional drivers. I suspect some if not most of their positive reviews are fake. Do NOT call this place for help and if they try to tow you be careful, they actively and violently threaten folks.
Avoid this company at all costs. Worst towing experience I've ever had. Dispatch gave me a completely wrong estimate for arrival time and then kept delaying with excuse after excuse. When the driver finally showed up, he was rude and dismissive, acting like he was doing me a favor just showing up at all.
They clearly have zero communication skills between dispatch and drivers. I tried to explain my situation and got nothing but attitude. The final bill was full of hidden charges they never mentioned on the phone, and they refused to release my car until I paid every cent.
Customer service is terrible. When I called back to complain, they literally hung up on me. It's shocking they have any positive reviews at all. Do yourself a favor and call anyone else. This place is a scam and the staff clearly don't care about helping anyone.
This company practices predatory towing, a problem on its own…but they also employ people who extort and assault civilians. I don’t know the last name but the driver “Chris” accepted payment to drop a tow then proceeded with to try to continue the tow anyway despite being paid to cease the tow. He then assaulted the the driver in a parking lot in Detroit on Sunday July 6th and additionally threatened him with a firearm he was carrying. According the several businesses near the incident he’s threatened multiple other civilians with a firearm. This is absolutely insane and unhinged behavior. The company is not responding to the situation currently but needs to.
Onw of their towed truck drivers on vernors highway is constantly practicing predatory towing! But even after I paid him 250$ he demanded to let me go he tried to extort me and my partner! He snatched the receipt from my partners hand to make it look like we did not pay! When I confronted him about this he flashed his gun and said “I’m lucky I did not get shot” only after bystanders started recording he panicked and left. When I contacted the company they said they were going to reach out to me to get the ripped apart receipt and the footage which I have but they never did. I am attaching a photo of the plate number of the towed truck driver. Be on the lookout if you are in this zone. This dude is unhinged

Quick response (15min) Rick the operator is awesome. I have a classic car that I took out for the first time and got almost an instant flat on the expressway and then found out that my spare tire was also out of air. He took great pains at taking care of my car while securing it to the flatbed as well as unloading it. He drives very nice and is very patient and he's a super friendly person. May God bless him. This guy is a keeper for sure.
I hit a pot hole and blew out a tire and rim. I called three different companies to have my car towed. Official was by far the coolest and best price. They even went out of their way to pick up my keys to make it easy. Great experience, and highly recommend using Official towing.
Phone operator was extremely nice, helpful and professional. Driver was great, extremely fast to arrive, careful and personable. Took great care of my car and got it where it needed to go. Will definitely be using Official for any future towing needs.
Everything was taken care of for me. He came right to the car all he needed was my keys and technician already knew what needed to be done. It was perfect considering I was stressing over what was wrong with my vehicle it was nice not to have to add additional worry or decision making.
