Not a good store for customer service. Employees don't know what anything is in the hardware, this store is also an ace, you need to know what your looking for without help. Then to top it off if you get the wrong thing and need to return it an hour later you better have your receipt because they will do nothing for you. They wouldn't return a $0.59 fitting while you are buying a $9.99 fitting. Go to a real ACE or go to the one in Almont that her ex-husband owns it's much better
I love your store and frequent on my way home from work. I did want to let you know that i have purchased my 4th carton of eggs recently that is not a full carton. Usually one but this time 2 eggs missing. Shame on me i still dont check but I think someone is stealing your eggs. I do not think this is the business fault. I do think you may need to keep an eye out for it though.
Called this place to order some chicken for a party. Called roughly 2 months in advance. Was told by the woman there that I just needed to call ahead a few days and that ordering with 2 months to go was too far out. Just called them with 2 weeks to spare and was told they could not help me and I should've called earlier. Would be cool if they actually knew what they were talking about.
Had to write a review specific to the bakery! My daughter's birthday party is tomorrow (1/5) & I had planned to go get a cake from Costco. Not wanting to make the drive, I decided to grab a cake from the fridge at Vinckiers & if my daughter liked it, I'd order one here instead. We ALL enjoyed it so I went back on Thursday to place the order. I told them she technically wanted Disney princesses as a "theme" but anything pink and super girly would also make her happy. They delivered tenfold! She's obsessed with roses (her middle name, named after her great grandma Rose) so she absolutely loved seeing it. They also threw in a free mini doll cake for her and even included the dress for the doll after we removed it from the cake. We're so happy with the half sheet cake and couldn't get over how sweet it was that they gave her something special. She was beaming!
Not a good store like it used to be.
In recent months younger employees have been hired and they're not doing their jobs and being rude whilst customers are still there. Shouting across the store talking about how they want to go home to their manager, wearing headphones, and not doing their job of making sure all groceries are given to their customers. Pretty much in their own world and talking to one another instead of tending to customers right in front of them. It's very unprofessional and unfortunate.
Excellent and helpful staff! Place is super clean and fully stocked! Great prices too, and don't get me started on their hot food. I drive there just for it!
Wonderfull store. Very kind staff please be aware that it’s not a huge chain like Kroger so the prices may be higher on some items. The bakery is awesome. They make some wonderful cakes things you would expect at a cake shop. Just over all a nice small toe grocery store one can go to when they forgot to buy an ingredient need a few things or just need to shop for the week . Nice place for a small town grocery store.
Edit They again are not a chain like Kroger so they do not get the product for the same price as the chains ( I think it should be the same for all grocery stores but no they pay different prices for the same products not fair) In order to make a profit they have to make money they have to charge more just like Krogers prices have gone up so have this stores please understand why and I think someone needs to make it fair for all grocery stores. Seems almost like they don’t want small family owned grocery stores anymore
Honestly, outside of prices, this is the absolute best grocery store! The staff is awesome, and I love heading here. Customer service seems to be dying at most everywhere but at the Armada location, I always feel like they know me personally (and most don't). You aren't going to find a better GM either as Tiffany is phenomenal at her job!
I was at the deli getting fried chicken last night (10-6-2023) shortly before 6:00pm and a very sweet young employee lady was helping me select my pieces. Well, right in the middle of her helping me, a very rude and aged employee shoved right in front of the nice young lady and turned the counter lights off and we were barely able to see. I was flabbergasted to say the least. The deli may close at six, but when a customer is being assisted, there is absolutely no excuse to rudely turn the lights off. This is the very reason I only shop at Vinckier Armada occasionally. Also, there is a constant turnover of employees which speaks volumes of “management”.
I just wanted to share what a wonderful staff work at this particular location. Not only are they always helpful and super friendly, but yesterday I dropped my debit card while shopping. When we all realized what happened at the register, they handled it so fast I didn't even have time to panic! Honestly, they also have the best quality meat at the best price, and I am particular about beef especially. The Deli is also great! They make my hubby's lunches every week! Lol! But really, the party subs are so fresh that I cut one up on Sunday, put it in zip locks and on Friday it's still fresh and tasty.
Nice little mom and pop type store. I go there a few times a month. I get a whole ribeye. Way cheaper than individual steaks. Their hot pot pies are amazing
Ran to the store last night to get eggs. These are not even organic!! Price gouging!!!! Drove 25min to go to kroger and paid $4.25 for 18eggs. Their prices are always extremely high and produce is horrible. I’ll keep going to kroger.
Lisa in the bakery- phenomenal! The cupcakes I ordered for my daughter's baby shower were perfect. From presentation to taste they were great. Will be ordering again when needed
Pretty much the epitome of small-town convenience. Most groceries are standard prices for comparable stores, IF those stores never had sales. The meat section and deli have a great selection for a decent price. Anything else is marked up twice what you'd pay anywhere else. $6.99 for a standard bottle of coffee creamer is outrageous. However, it's the only option near Armada, so convenience usually wins...though closing at 8pm including the weekends is certainly not convenient (short staffed or not).
Though it has the charm of a small town grocery store and also includes a hardware section and a deli, Vinckier's is overpriced and underwhelming with its customer satisfaction. I have been shopping there for a year and a half now and have been there recently twice in a time span of 2 weeks. Both times I was turned away by their staff while attempting to return bottles and cans that were purchased from Vinckiers in the first place. On top of the staff's lack of helpfulness and enthusiasm, their deli is usually out of their more popular sides like potatoes salad, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese and main dishes like their fried chicken more often than it should. I used to shop there out of the convenience of it being located less than a mile down the road, but after several months of being disappointed continuousely, I would seriously rather drive 20+ minutes away for better prices, selection and customer satisfaction. I could never recommend this groceries store to anyone in good conscience based on my own experience as a customer myself.
I prefer the Almont store! Almont is clean, well stocked, friendly with great produce. Well worth the 15 minute drive.
The Armada location has been disappointing the past 18 months. So many expired items, bad produce, over priced odd products and the place needs a good cleaning.
Word is, they don't value their employees, only paying minimum wage, when others in town are starting pay well over min wage. I've seen Tiffany belittle employees in front of customers, I was embarrassed for that employee. Guess that's why they are always hiring! Lines have been long and they won't open more lanes. Most of the managers don't seem to help out when they are busy.
I don't know what happened, but something needs to be addressed sooner rather than later! I used to love shopping here, but i just can't anymore. I won't be back.
Country grocery store and hardware store combined. Great selection of bakery goods and meat Dept. Friendly store associates... very clean. Prices quite a bit higher than your grocery food chains which is why I gave it four stars.
Always a convenient and friendly place to shop. Produce is not usually great but ok. Meat is usually fantastic and well priced. Really good rotisserie chicken. I prefer the flavor over Kroger or Meijer. Most products are a bit more expensive than I prefer to pay.
Best grocery store in Macomb County! The employees are very friendly & helpful. If there are items you want but aren't offered in the store, they will try to order them for you. Always clean & well stocked. Keep an eye out for the guitar playing cashier! He is the best!
I have never in my life seen a grocery store/hardware store "all in one" until stopping here. Although it seemed odd, my quick stop was actually very nice. They had just about anything/everything you could think of (and more). The store was very clean and the staff was very nice. 5 stars!
Nice little shop. Was visiting family and found this place down the road. Had everything we needed and at a good price. Staff was very friendly and helpful to make sure we knew where the products were. The store was very well laid out and not cluttered like you see a lot of big chain stores. When we're back up in Michigan we will for sure stop here again for our shopping needs.
Couldn't say enough nice things, clean store and helpful service people. What I find most interesting is that small grocery stores tend to be over priced compared to places like Meijer, it doesn't seem to be a problem here in fact many times I get a better price at your store! Also your deli section kicks serious butt at chicken!
Small town grocery store/hardware store. They have a full deli, beer, liquor and hardware. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The store is well stocked and clean. They occasionally have a buy 2 get 3 free sale that is a great deal. Their meat quality and prices are very good as well.
Small town grocery store, nice staff. Little higher prices than let's say Kroger. Not too surprising given its size and location.
It has fresh produce, alcohol, lottery, and frozen and prepared foods.
It has one other unique aspect as it is coupled with Ace Hardware built into it providing tools and parts a typical grocery store might lack.
