On Friday 17 OCT 2025 I locked my ignition key on the console of my car in the Walmart parking lot. After I created a request for service through my insurance carrier, the driver from Kiefer Automotive called my cell to locate my car. The driver was outstanding as he carefully inserted the wedge(s) to gain access to the lock switch on the driver's side door. After creating the needed "gap" he activated the door lock and opened the car....less than five minutes on site. Unfortunately another shopper got impatient as the service truck was partially blocking the space. The driver was courteous as he explained that his truck was performing a service as the emergency lights were flashing. At that point the blocked driver verbally abused the KIEFER employee, which just delayed the end of the service call.
Driver deserves an award. for patience....a true professional.
I was stranded on the side of the road on Grand River this morning. Chad from Keifer Towing came out to change my tire and jump my battery for me. He was very kind and considerate. I’m truly grateful because they got out to help me very quickly. This company is A1 when it comes to customer service!!! I recommend them to anyone who needs service.
My experience with this towing company was fantastic! They were kind and answered all of my questions. They had a truck out to get my car within 45 minutes, got my car to the dealership, and handled check-in at the dealership for me. They were reliable and helpful during a very stressful time!
Less than 30 minutes Ray showed up and jump started my car.
Informed me the of the problem and he even came to my rescue when 5 minutes later I turn my car off. Courteous, professional service that I will use again if needed.

If your gut tells you to go some place else, do it. I wish I had. They are good at milking insurance companies. Not good at towing cars. They bent the tie rods on my car using J-hooks to tow it. Our reputable mechanic is sure this was the cause but can’t prove it so I hope others who have had bad experiences with this company let people know so a pattern can be established. Good luck if you got screwed into dealing with them by the Brighton Police Department like we did.

Worst place to bring your vehicle for repair. The owner is the biggest con artist I have ever meet. He towed my car and refused to take it where I asked him to and he took it back to his shop and talked me into using him for $16000 repairs. DONT USE HIM. He had my vehicle for 6 weeks and has excuses everytime I called. He put used parts on my brand new car. He didn't put a hose on all the way and my car is over heating. My car is at a different body shop so they can fix his poor service. I picked my car up today and it has to go to a different shop for his mistakes. AGAIN DONT USE THIS MAN

I would highly recommend kiefer to anyone looking for a body shop. I had a unfortunate incident with my ram 3500 fender and hood. They fixed it in had it back to me in less then 72 hours. It looks flawless . And for a very affordable price. Customer service was great. They are a rarity in the collision industry.

This place is phenomenal! I had hit a curb and had two flat tires. When I called, the customer service was so wonderful. He could tell I was distraught and was at my car in 15 mins even though he he quoted 30. He actually had to wait for me. When I arrived, Karl was very friendly and made me feel calmer immediately. He was also very patient when my first card was declined and even gave me advice on what the extent of the damage was. The best part was the cost! This company was at least $50 cheaper than the company the insurance company suggested, which, as a single mom, makes a huge difference. I will be using this company from now on and will be refering this company to everyone I know. They definitely made the stressful situation easier!!

Not only did he take great care with the vehicle, he helped me unpack the vehicle which included my husband’s fishing equipment.
Being a fisherman, he said he understood the importance of being careful and we will never forget that. Such a thoughtful and kind person.

My 2007 Mustang spun out and got dug into some snow right off the freeway. Ray (my tow-tuck driver) showed up not even 15 minutes after I requested assistance. He was super professional and got my car unstuck in a matter of minutes. Best towing service I’ve ever had hands down. Thank you so much.
