As a woman most places try to get there bang for the buck. They advise me have a cheaper way to get what I needed the next day I still needed some help I called them and they gave me some advice over the phone very respectful people very respectful business I will tell all my friends and family to use this salvage yard
I love miechiels auto salvage! Pat and Jake are so nice to work with! I bought a whole truck from Corey and I absolutely love it!! I got a great price too! If you need any parts for your vehicles miechiels is the place to go!
One of the best u-pull salvage yards ive been to! They keep the yard clean and organized!!. I also think they have great prices on used parts! The staff was very friendly and helped me find what I was looking for. I bought a used engine from Miechiels and they pulled the engine for me with no extra charge!!! I will definitely be using Miechiels again in the future!!
Won’t be supporting this place anymore. Been taking scrap back here since I was a little kid, never had any issues and always liked the place until last time. We took a full trailer of metal back totaling a measly 70 dollars. The check was mistakenly misplaced so we went back to see if they could void it and write a new check, the lady (Lori) says that there will be a $35 stop payment charge meaning the new check would be written for less than 40 dollars. We decided to keep looking for the check in hopes that we could still get the full amount if found. Lori calls us back the next day stating that she placed the stop payment on the check and I can drive up there to get the remaining 38 dollars… not even worth our trip to town. Let alone the time spent to load the trailer, unload the trailer, etc. Scrap isn’t worth crap anymore , especially if you take it to Miechiel’s. They must need that money more than we do.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Spent the day pulling parts off of cars and once I got to the counter, they wanted to know which parts came off of what cars. First of all, red flag for a U-pull yard because it doesn’t matter, a mirror is a mirror, a seat is a seat, and hood is a hood and etc. Prices should be the same for every car. Then, they compared pricing of the parts that I pulled to other yards (not U-pull yards, but like those listed on car-part that already have the parts pulled and ready to go on the shelf) and wanted to charge the same value. For all I know, they may have been checking eBay prices. For example, any headlight you pull at a u-pull yard is around $30. Here, it’ll cost you around $135. Don’t believe me? Check out the price list on US Auto Supply Sterling Heights, U-Pull Pontiac or even Ryan’s Pick-a-Part in Detroit. Then the guy at the counter wanted to give me an attitude when I questioned the pricing and says he doesn’t want to give me pricing on the rest of the parts that I pulled “because I will not like the pricing.” He said well what kind of pricing are you looking to get? I said U-Pull pricing. $30 for a head light: He then replied back “well this isn’t a U-Pull yard, well it is, but it isn’t for pricing”. I literally laughed and walked out. This place is an absolute joke. If you are looking for U-pull yard pricing, this is not the place. For the prices they charge, they should be on the shelf, tagged, cleaned, and ready to go. To top it off, they don’t even have wheelbarrows to carry all of the parts you pulled back up to the office. I will never go back and will not recommend this place to people that I know. I suggest everyone to go to US Auto Supply of Sterling Heights, U-Pull Pontiac, or Ryan’s Pick-a-Part in Detroit before considering Miechiels. Again, check out their posted prices as they are quite reputable unlike the scammers at Miechiels.
Awesome salvage yard if you have a car and need a part Miechiel’s most likely has it Wide selection. Very Organized. Even after a good rain the grounds are not muddy. As far as the Employees. They are Very Knowledgeable. And Helpful. Delt with Pat he’s Great. The cost of parts is Very Reasonable. Thank you Miechiels
Jake was very good at communicating, he kept me updated on everything, and had patience. I ended up not doing business with this company because a part I was watching sold, but in the future I’ll be back.
No inventory on web site, no prices? sounds like new parts off E-bay would be cheaper. My new part will have at least a minimum 1 year warranty not like this place just 30 days.
First time at Miechiels. It had a pretty good selection of vehicles. I found what I needed and the price was very reasonable. They also quoted me for other parts I might get later, and they were reasonable too. I will go back.
Go to regals it's right next door it's cheaper and the guys at the front desk don't try and rip you off like Michaels... They literally go on eBay really quick and see what it's going for...then charge you that price.guys a regals wing it and it's always cheaper
I like to go here a lot of times women get treated kind of strange in these places these guys are great. I’ve never been uncomfortable there. They let me go back and find exactly what I’m looking for.
Go to pull an over flow tank… got the tank and couldn’t believe the price they wanted. Absolutely crazy!! Figure it would be like 10 bucks. Not the price of a brand new one! Idk how they get their prices but a complete rip off and a waist of my time!!
Jake is excellent to work with. Needed a bunch of parts for my son's Suburban and got everything I needed for a fraction of what Fox Auto wanted. Easy to deal with and extremely helpful I highly recommend these people.
No one was helpful, the people who loaded my part complained when I asked them to load it different so I wouldn't scuff up my tailgate, the man in the building was rude, and made me wait for 4 people to buy their parts and ask questions before he would radio the workers to load the part. Jake was the only helpful person there, super nice, straight to the point, and even offered to give a tire for the part to sit on, which the workers in the back complained about as well.
Needed a couple of odd size hard to find Ford rims they helped out and had them. Great people to work with. Even let me see if I could get them both on my bike before I paid. I was going to have to buy one if both did not fit.
I drove all the way out there based on a price he gave me on the phone when I got out there he pulled up the price from Rock Auto and gave me that price. I had done business with Jake many times before but will never do business with that fat guy behind the counter. I bought mirrors, tail gates, seats, tires, wheel rims, and several other things this year but will never buy anything if that guy is behind the counter. He does not know how to treat local repeat customers. If the fat guy is there go somewhere else or like he said, "Go buy it new from Rock Auto or the Internet they have better prices." The part they had was USED and Not OEM
Best place around to get salvage parts for an older BMW. Fair prices. Knowledgable staff. Wear your boots, though because you will be climbing over and around all sorts of junk cars. Overstocked and messy, but treasures abound for those willing to dig in. Not many vintage cars, though. If you are looking for cars older than 25 years, they are scarce.
