A great place to take your old electronics and scrap metal. They pay by the pound. We take stuff often. They give a fair price and keep metal out of the landfills. I highly recommend them.
I don't go there often, but the dozen times I have gone over the past 3 years I am just done with this place. The lady that works the front is slow, always in a bad mood, and is always difficult. I think she hates her job. Anyway, there are not too many around BUT, go elsewhere. The one in Whitmore lake is not far away and they are just so much more professional. They get you in quick even if there is a long line.
Not so far on price ..... gave me under scrap price for aluminum rims all clean no lead wheel weights or valves..... don't waste your time with this place...
Scale is on the left side of the driveway when you pull in, in front of the office window. Stay left, wait for the green arrow next to your weight above the office window, then back your truck/trailer in on the left, after the scale when there's room.
I hope this helps someone else. I wasn't sure what to do on my first trip there.

I don’t scrap that much at all. I had about 50 pounds of copper. The guy told me there was a to day wait on payment on copper some law he came up with. So went somewhere else didn’t even question it paid me right away sounds like a scam to me!!!!’ Beware of this place is all I can say!!!!

So I went to this scrap yard a couple weeks ago. I'll preface with this, I have frequented many scrap yards in my life and used to take scrap back, from the automotive shop I worked at a few years ago monthly almost. This place WAS RUSHED. And if you want to actually see what price they'll give you for stuff, too bad! once they weight the first lot, the quickly throw it into a receptacle, as I think to myself "what if I don't like your prices". Secondly. After the first weigh of items. They removed the box to tare with and weighed my next lot, without re-zeroing(taring) the scale. The other guy even asked if he was going to tare again. The guy working the scale nodded, barely. I figured i was good. I finally just looked at the itemized list. And there is a tare penalty on my second item. Cost me 10 dollars. I don't want any retribution, nor do I think I will even receive an email. Just wanted people to know they need to watch them as they weighout your items and add boxes to hold stuff on the scale. And I had i not been in a rush that day, I would have surely spoken up after checking their work.
"If it's metal, we'll buy it", they say. We found that to be true and their prices seemed fair, but I'm no expert.
It was my 1zt time there, and I had a small, mixed load of homeowner-type stuff. Very helpful, friendly staff
Quick easy way to recycle and get a few bucks for old junk. I took old car parts, mower deck, grill and a few batteries from a scooter. Don't put stuff like this in landfills!
Fair prices and excellent customer service. Update: I came in with 44 pounds of heavy duty copper wire there must have been a small amount of light wire with it because that's what I got, ripped off, they didn't bother to ask me. They were closing and don't give you a print out until they've already taken the wire away. I won't make that mistake again. I'll be asking to see what I'm getting before I leave the scale. Might put stars back if they bother to make it right when I come back.
A great place to get rid of old electronics, this is a very legitimate place that gives you a good deal and follows all applicable laws and is the best way to dispose of electronics, take all your electronics scrap here!
Recently received a flyer in the mail from them, and was curious how it all worked. I called to find out prices because I have a lot of siding and extruded from side jobs and the such. I’ve been holding onto it for many years due to prices being down. After calling them I called around and found that they were paying 10 to 20 cents more a pound for all kinds of aluminum compared to places such as regals. When asked they said it was due to them having an industrial bailer so the could ship in bulk. They were very kind and walked me all the way through where to go and how it all works. Plus there scales are certified from the state so I can get my trailer weights for shipping equipment. Overall a very pleasurable experience and will return for years to come.
Just found out about this place when they sent out flyers. I did some calling around before I went in to shop around on prices. They are paying the best around right now for the scrap steel. The place is a little dirty but compared to other scrap yards where I couldn’t even drive through this place is immaculate. They are extremely helpful for new people as well and walked me through the process. They are paying a lot better for copper now then almost any other scrap yard that I called. Overall a very pleasant experience and I’ll definitely be back.
Sloppy yard and workers and they ripp you off. Gave 20 to 26 cents on aluminum sheet and Michaels in howell was giving 32 cents should of did my homework and when confronted about the price difference said sorry we pay what we pay .
One of the best scrap yards around! they pay top dollar for scrap and precious metals and have a very friendly staff. If you're into upcycling like i am this place is the best for searching for material, tons of stuff to look through and they sell back material at a reasonable price
I loved this place the give very fair scrap prices and they've never cheated me yet. This place is much better than regals and michaels. Never had any problems with them
I watched an older man walk in there with 2 computers. The guy from JD beavers told the guy that he should take apart them and bring the back to make the most money you can. He even showed him how to do it and what to look for. Honest helpful people here that usually pay the most for scrap metal around.
I have only been there a couple of times. They are the most helpful of any scrap yard I have ever been to. They are out of my way but when my computer scrap pile gets big enough I venture out their way. The people are friendly and will help you sort your computer scrap if you are unsure as how to separate it.
