No one wants to call a tow truck but if you gotta call, this is the place and Eric is the guy. He took tons of extra time and care with an extra special car and I appreciate him so very much. Not only was he super knowledgeable and a perfectionist, he kept us laughing the whole time. Thank you, Eric!!!!!

We’ve used Byers wrecker service in Lapeer a couple of times in the past 2 yrs . My daughter just used Byers wrecker service in Clarkston and every time we have called for service they are prompt , friendly, and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough good things about them and their employees . Customer service is fast and friendly . Thank you Byers .

Came and got my wife's car took to beckwwiths shop in Lapeer. The driver was a pleasure to talk to and very professional about his job. Thanks for the great service.

I hope your towing company treats people vehicles better than the Holly/davisburg location did. They cause more damage to my vehicle than the accident itself did. Which shouldn't even have been the damage that happened if the guy wasn't speeding

My brakes went out on me and needed a tow to the shop. They got their in about a half hour or so, i was about five miles from them. Everything went smoothly, they dropped off at the shop asked and it was $45 for hook up plus $4 per mile. About four miles from shop. Charged $60 even. Positive experience for me.

Very kindly picked up our car off the side of the hwy when we had a flat driving from Canada! Dropped us off at the tire center close by. Even asked if our young son wanted to help let the car down! And then if he wanted a job ? Thanks for lessening the stress guys, and making our kids smile through the process. Priced reasonably also.

Towing & accident clean up was great and done in a timely manner. Unfortunately, customer service from Haley Higgins in the front office at the Lapeer location was absolutely awful. Very argumentative & rude throughout our whole encounter there. I will never recommend Byers to anyone due to her extreme unprofessionalism.

Would not recommend to my worst enemy. I went into a ditch die poor weather conditions on my way home from work. Guy had no clue how to secure my car to the bed. Couldn't find the control arms... Then I go not even 24 hours later to get my vehicle (mind you they are now calling it 2 days storage. Accident at 7pm the night before to now 2:30pm the following day) using my insurance and the prices change from 265 to a whole different fee when they find out my insurance is paying. Then it magically became something not in his "wheelhouse" and my insurance agent had to get a hold of other people just so u can get my car back from these weasels. This place is trashy and full of greedy shady business. Then my insurance said they will come get my car and bring it to me and that was still a problem. If I could give no stars I would! So dissatisfied and disgusted.

Very happy with response time when my car broke down. A few days later they moved my car again and I didn't even have to be present. Staff is considerate, punctual, and professional. Pricing is clear, provided up front and fair.

Locked out of my car for 4 hours with it running because my insurance company couldn't find anybody to come unlock my car. I call these guys and they had someone to me in 30 minutes... I'm glad I had a full tank of gas.. these guys will get all my business if I need it in the area. Don't even care about cost now ..

After AAA and my membership failed because they didn't send the proper equipment I took it upon myself to contact Byers wrecker service. They got there when they said they would be there. Had everything needed to get my car towed away to the shop. I'm very happy with them. I may not even renew my AAA membership.

I trust Byers with my Tesla. They've had to tow it twice now. They know all the ins and outs of the tesla. They're also very careful with your car which I appreciate. They don't rush and they do it right. I would trust them with any vehicle I have.

Driver was so helpful and knew what was wrong with my car. He showed me what unlocked the gear shift and he was just an exceptional employee. I will highly recommend your business to anyone.

We had a blow out on our travel trailer on a freeway under construction. I looked on my phone for the nearest towing service. It came up with Byers. A friendly voice answered. She sent help out immediately. He changed our tire and put on our spare quickly and efficiently. Thank you!

The two gentlemen that I dealt with were very kind and helpful. The wrecker came quicker than I anticipated and was able to get my vehicle out of the snowbank I was stuck in very quickly. Would definitely recommend this company to friends and family!

Was dispatched at 1230ish eta was 90 minutes never showed called my ins again at 430 after over an hour called ins again Byers cancelled run. My ins company dispatched another company. Will not use them again. very unprofessional

Feb 17, 2021 I called for a tow on a Malibu for a foster kid living with us due to coolant everywhere. It needs to go to Shays in flint. I told them they can come Feb 18,2021 to pick up. They said they be here at ten am. Okay. 10:45 I call because no one called no one showed. We are running behind okay. That’s fine I just need to know when your coming. I also have my friend who showed up literally 12 mins after the tow Driver left. To do what PLOW. They told me at 10:45 it be 11:00-11:30 they should up 11:45. Okay got my boots to go outside to talk to them. I first off have to pay them. I expected the driver to call me on his way like usual.which they did not. I cannot tell you how many tows they have done for my 2013 Suburban in the last four years. It is enough when we call they know us. They know our house and my SUV though. Anyways my driveway is not plowed yet. I expected the driver to call me let me know he was here. When their driver would of called me I would say okay I’ll drive the car to the end of my driveway to the road for you to load. Instead they left. I have no clue what’s happened with their business but they lost ours today. Try communicating with the people paying you. I was able to get my 1998 dually, two wheel drive, rear wheel, 3500 8FT bed empty, up and down my not plowed driveway yesterday. Men say women can’t drive. Right the tow company cannot even communicate clearly can’t drive. He didn’t event try he literally backed his truck into our driveway and left.

We used Byers twice this week to tow our truck that broke down on the side of the road. The first experience was GREAT, therefore we called again. I was really shocked & bummed at the lack of professionalism that they charged an extra $20 on a snowy day. Our first time using them- $65 base hookup charge, $24 to tow 5.5 miles. Five days later- $85 base hookup charge, $4 to tow half mile.

Byers is an excellent tow service. I have used them a few times over the years. Most recently I needed to a tow from Oxford to Lapeer and they arrived within 20 minutes! They have excellent customer service.

Have never been a fan of this company or how they treat people and i live on McDowell Rd in Lapeer which is a dirt road. It has just been graded and on my way home from the store one of these tow truck drivers passed me doing 60+ MPH and spit rocks all over my car. Great way to represent a company.

Unfortunately I called for a tire change. After the driver shows up, we realize my car has an option for a spare, not one in my car. Gave key to driver and they are coming back with a flatbed and taking my car to my recommended repair shop in the morning. So happy all went smoothly. Thank you for helping me.

Driver is awesome! Company is awful! You are stealing from your customers by charging any rate you want depending on Shelby's mood plus charging AAA. This will be reported to AAA as well. Never will use your service again

was on the night of a big storm, was told they might be a few hours which was fine my son was safe and at home his car was in ditch close to home. They ended up being there pulling him out and getting him home safely within 30mins. Thanks Byers.

I was in a car accident early morning yesterday (Sunday) Byers towed my car to their lot. I couldn't come get it even if I wanted to because they were closed. I was going to be charged $290.00 dollars to get my car out and to pay for the tow. Also was charged per day, even when they were closed and it went in when they were closed. It was in for a little over 24 hours and they were closed for 20 of them. Really rubbing salt in a wound and kicking you when you're down.

Very fast arriva on a Saturday morning before 5:00an,, excellent care pulling my car from an ditch, driver/operator was great! Very good experience, will be back if I ever need them again!

Nice guy and he did good job had a good since of humor. A Little pricey to just tow me out of a parking lot ditch. But what other choice did I have. I'm sure he doesn't set the price so I can't hold it against him. All and all he took good care of me. Thank you.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. My sister was involved in an accident yesterday morning on I-69 and M-24 in Lapeer. The police had asked where she would like the vehicle towed and they had requested it to be towed into Oxford - 9 miles south of where the accident took place. Byers was "very busy" and just towed it to their lot (less than 4 miles away). Just to have her vehicle towed was $142, the vehicle was on its wheels by the way. Then they wanted an additional $20 for the vehicle to sit on their lot. Seeing as my sister is 18 and does not have much money in the first place she needed to save every penny possible. So, my sister found a scrap yard that would buy her vehicle and pick it up from Byers that same day to avoid additional fees. Byers would not release the vehicle unless my sister was physically present when they came to pick up her vehicle. Luckily she was released from the hospital in time to make it over to Byers before they closed at 5 pm. Then she gets to Byers and so does the gentleman who is picking up her vehicle to take to the scrap yard. Well, Byers did not have a current insurance certificate on file for the gentlemen who was towing the vehicle way (The gentlemen owned his own reputable towing company in town by the way, he was not just some random person). So my sister had to wait at Byer's while the gentlemen drove all the way back to his facility to send them over an insurance certificate. Byer's made every step as difficult as they possibly could, most likely they were hoping she would just sign the vehicle over to them so they could scrap it and get the money. That would be the only reason I can think of that they were so difficult. They were not even friendly, They were rude and short. I have no idea how they stay in business if this is how they treat people. Also, I am not one to write reviews on businesses for horrible service. I actually have never written a bad review EVER!
