This isn't the place to go if you want good customer service. George and his wife rate somewhere between hostile and more hostile. But he is a junkyard owner and personifies what you'd imagine of a junkyard owner (think Stephen King's movie Stand By Me) and his prices are fairly reasonable. Plus he has the only vehicle like mine within 75 miles. Don't go there to get complimented or to make friends though.
I have known George for 20+ years I have bought several parts over the years and always a great experience I have ran in to him at public places and always willing to chat
I got the part I needed. George called me the next day after I called. The price was fair. I see people complaining about him but he seemed like a typical auto salvage yard owner to me. Liked doing business with him.
Its a junkyard. There is no white glove service, but there are parts here for a fair price. George and Denise are full of information, just will not shmooze you.
Great parts and great prices. Needed a radiator for my truck and george had it. Even offered hoses for free i feel like he needs to advertise more. Really surprised with how clean alot of his older vehciles are! If your doing a restoration project and need body parts this is the place
Very blunt but helpful, George and his wife’s no BS approach to business is a very nice change. Great prices and good people I would recommend them for any older car part you’d need
These people are great! I called ahead about some parts I needed, they were pulling an engine at the time and said they would call back, 15min later I get the call, they had the parts. George gave me great directions over the phone to find the place. When I arrived they showed me where to find the vehicle to pull from. Pulled the parts, paid cash, got more then a fair price on the parts. Highly recommend. Lots of comments here about bad customer service, yes there was no "bye" at the end of the call but this is a junkyard not the Ritz-Carlton.
No issues. I went to George's for a spare wheel and tire for my trailer, told him exactly what I needed, he located a wheel, confirmed the size, and even mounted the tire we picked out. You just gotta remember, this is a parts yard, not a Macy's.
George is a character. Not the friendliest Ol boy but you can take it to the bank if he sells you something it's going to be a good part and or engine/trans
Just got off the phone with them and wasn't thrilled about the ladies professionalism at all. Very short with me and overall seemed like she had better things to do was her attitude. She just hung up without saying back after telling her thank you. Would not recommend George's to anyone unless you enjoy dealing with a rude employee.
First off, George is adorable. They stayed open late for me and gave me advice on what to do for a badly worn tire. Although they weren't able to help me out, they were more than accommodating, friendly and gave me very helpful advice. Highly recommend.
No customer service skills here it is true George is a sob and his wife is just like him. Other than that they always have the parts I need at a fair price. I don't let George get to me I just fire back the insults and he seems to like that.
Ok so this guy hasn't left his property in years i suspect ! There are trees growing out of and animals living in most of the cars on his property, and the prices were nutz! You gotta sign in with a signature? And he told my 69 year old dad "YOU STAY HERE" he seems to have have an anger towards internet users it seems too. SO save your time , but at least we did find out where they filmed the movie Deliverance !
