My car battery decided to die at the mall on 11/24/25.. Got a jump and pulled in right after they had closed. The manager who said had to be there because everyone called in saw me pull up and asked if I needed help. I said yes thank!! My battery is junk now and I have my family with me.. He brought me right in even min after the closing time.. looked up my battery and not only did they have the exact Duracell car battery I have been looking for it was cheaper than way lesser than car batteries at almost all auto shops. And it was top of the line with 800 cca!!!! He asked if I needed help I said yeah because I had no tools.. he brought out the battery and switched them within minutes... eager at that! The whole process went so fast and smooth it was unreal. Best customer service I have received in forever. Because of that situation and pricing and that Manager who I think was the district manager I am now a loyal customer. Plus they got every type of battery you can think of and top of the line stuff for amazing prices. Trust me quality matters. I highly recommend .. batteries plus saved my ass

Purchased an car battery and small batteries. Was surprised with the different options and costumer service that I was welcomed with. Will continue to be a costumer for them in the future. Highly recommended if you need batteries or answers to your questions.

I came in here because I needed to key fob batteries replaced. The gentleman that helped me was friendly! He took the key fobs and had the batteries replaced in no time at all!

Kentwood, Michigan store needs to improve their commercial account process. Very poor. 2 days later, he’ll call you back after several attempts in the previous days. Then you have to walk him through his emails and tell him, the date and time you sent the purchase order. “Oh, there it is” REALLY!

I’m giving three stars despite five-star service because of repeated issues with aftermarket iPhone batteries. The staff and service at Batteries Plus are excellent. I've had two non-Apple batteries fail: one swelled and was replaced for free, and a second one failed so badly it popped the phone open, which happened while I was out of town. The phone seemed unsafe to fly with, so unfortunately, I cannot return it to the store. I recommend Batteries Plus for their service but not for iPhone battery replacements; for that, I'd go to Apple. Update - dropping to 2 stars. I emailed customercare and got a reply back "Which Batteries Plus store location is the review posted for? Not every Batteries Plus is Apple certified as some locations are individually owned and operated". I replied with the store's address. That was two weeks ago. No reply back.

Be careful with this store. I don't trust it anymore. Took my watch here to have a battery replaced and they messed up the watch. It was working fine until the battery gave out, but the day after it was replaced I noticed it wasn't working properly. I took it back in and they supposedly sent it to a shop they partner with to get it checked out and when it came back they said all it needed was to be cleaned and they don't do that. I didn't believe the watch needed a cleaning since it was still newer so my husband took my watch to a local jewelry store that is owned by a family we know and they said it was damaged while the battery was being replaced. Thankfully it was fixable. The whole process from start to finish with this store was not a good experience, they couldn't even find my watch at one point when I called to check on its status after it had been sent in (because it had been more than a couple of weeks). I also saw another customer really upset because he had been waiting there for an hour to have his car battery replaced. The manager didn't seem too concerned, in fact, another employee had to go out and try and help this man. Not a good experience.

Edit: I went in and exchanged the batteries. Sounds like it was an honest mistake. Apparently I have a whole year warranty on batteries I buy there, and they exchanged the bad ones with no trouble. My original review is below for context. I am upping eating to 4 stars because this is the best physical store you can get batteries in GR, but minus one star due to the hassle of having been initially been given duds. ---- I bought 4 SLA batteries online, ship-to-store... 2 of the 4 batteries I received are probably from their core returns, measuring 8.52v instead of 12v, having no terminal covers or bags like the other two, and a random piece of scotch tape on one. Not even gonna bother going here ever again. What a waste of time.

We have lifetime warranty batteries in our watches (work in healthcare, etc.), key fobs and garage door openers. Our Batteries Plus family are so helpful and nice when we come in and replace the batteries for free! Not to mention they do it so quickly. :)

I went in upset because of a faulty battery for our summer toy. But I walked out with a smile and a great experience. Marshall took care of our battery issue and ended up saving me money on a few other items I purchased while I was at there store. I was so happy with the service. I invited there whole staff working today. To come to our Store Grand Rapids Botanicals Kratom and our team will personally give them some great complementary product and great customer service.

Absolutely pathetic; both this location and Alpine. Called Saturday the 15th and spoke to some woman to check about a battery and was told it was on a pallet and needed to filled and charged but I could pick it up the next day Sunday the 16th. Called back today the 16th to the 28th street location to confirm its ready and yet I'm told it's not on the shelf yet and it would be ready the next day yet again by this guy as well as they typically require the purchase first filling them and charging them with any priority so basically they can just stock them at their leisure. I wasn't told anything about having to purchase upfront the previous when I just could have then. Both representatives apparently show no initiative or care for the consumer to sell a product to them effectively and efficiently as is their job or to work out anything due to their own error and speed up the process. I told them I'll go somewhere else; I don't even care about spending a little more to go to a direct motorcycle dealer now because at least they have their shit together. Oh look they sent a typical auto reply as seen below; happens to be the same one I got after I reviewed the other location not answering their phone calls for 30 minutes. Way to show that you don't care about the customer even further..

Cannot say enough good things about my customer service experience. Michigan was on day 4 of record cold temperatures and snowy weather when my car battery died. I need to drive to Chicago that day so I arrived first thing in the morning. No technicians had arrived yet because of the weather. The store owner stepped in to help me by changing my battery in the crazy weather while wearing dress pants and dress shoes (clearly not what he was planning on doing for the day with his technicians stuck in weather) so I could get home to Chicago. I was so grateful for the service I received - would recommend this store to anyone!

Great customer service. Was greeted upon arrival, I indicated that I needed a new battery in my FOB. Employee entered my info in their system for tracking. Replaced the battery and checked out. Quick in and out.

Customer service seems to be a thing of the past, that’s why this experience with Asia was so refreshing and positive. I left three watches because they didn’t work, I told them to take them and use them for practice on working with watches. Asia called and said she had fixed all three, unbelievable!!!!!! Not only did she fix them she called to give them back. I that is really incredible today, I would give her and Batteries Plus 20 stars if I could. I will never go anywhere else and I will recommend her and the store to everyone even if they don’t ask. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I went to have my phone repaired for cracked glass covered under insurance. These guys were very nice, worked/communicated well with each other, and with the customers. Phone was ready in just over an hour. Great hard to find lightbulb selection too. Definitely recommend.

I've shattered my phone screen three times, and I always take it to Batteries Plus to get it fixed. While I've always had a good experience with the employees, and been impressed at the speed they're able to make repairs, every time I've gone, there has been a lasting issue to my phone that has arisen after repairs. After my first visit, my phone's 0.5x camera no longer worked and whenever I opened the camera, it always zoomed in to 2x. The second time I went, a different employee stripped one of the screws for the screen and was unable to fix it. I had to use pliers to get it out. And, while I'm not fully blaming Batteries Plus for this, last week, about a day after they fixed my phone at a new location for me, the WiFi and Bluetooth were unable to connect, even after resetting the network settings. Again, I have always had a good experience with the employees, and they have been very speedy when it comes to replacing the screen, but I'd HIGHLY suggest taking my recommendation with a grain of salt. One issue may pile up after another, and it will cost you a lot of cash. If an issue arrises after getting it fixed by them, and if you break your phone a second time, I would not recommend using this company. But, perhaps, you'll be luckier than I was.

I would give it more stars if I could. I was from out of town and stopped here for a car fob battery and on my way out, my keys fell down a water hole outside. I went back in the store and told the store manager and he immediately put a plan into place and helped me! He went above and beyond! I am so grateful for him and everyone at this store. Best customer service ever! Thank you so much!!

Great experience overall in ordering what I wanted online and had it shipped to the store on 28th Street. It only took a couple of days. The guys there are friendly and helpful. They made sure my order was complete and correct. I'll definitely go to them again when I need something.

Had an insurance claim to fix an iPhone screen (through Asurion), was told to be there before Nov 2 for the claim. Drove 20+ miles to get there with kids and they told me they didn’t have the screen ordered yet. Scheduled an appointment for two days later and dropped the phone off. They called back saying they couldn’t fix it the same day, mind you we drove from another city with our kids to get this done, very unprofessional place. Would not recommend them for any phone fix claims! I won’t forget to mention we were five minutes late to the appointment, which we called and they said that would be no problem at all. They should I have told us they couldn’t do the claim at all and we could have turned back. Two trips = almost two hours waisted time and gas

Very pleased with my experience. Stopped in on a Monday to ask questions about a battery I wanted to by to replace my RV battery. The associate was very knowledgeable and helpful. I left without buying cause I like to do some research first. I stopped back that Friday and the same associate remembered me and what battery I was interested in. I bought the battery he recommended and I was pleased with their overall customer service

One of the best customer experiences I have had in Grand Rapids. Their customer service was awesome, as soon as I came into their store they were friendly and eager to help. The guys at the store tested my battery right away to ensure I was doing the correct thing to repair my vehicle. Without asking they swapped my car battery themselves, and there was no charge for it. Extremely informative, friendly, personable, and I will definitely go back. Highly recommend.
