I would give less stars if I could. I called these people after hitting a curb and messed up my suspension. I left my car thinking it wouldn't be long. (Big mistake) I called them 1.5 hours later and they claimed it was the next car after the car they were towing next. They never called and so when I woke up around 9:30 am I gave them a call and nothing. I call them 2 hours later and they said oh you never said it was in the road the police had it towed so now thats more money out my pocket. I would reccomend everyone to stay away from this company!
I had called another company that was blowing me off for over an hour. I called Swift, who said it would be roughly an hour and then were there in 45 minutes! They called quickly and were highly communicative with me. I will use them again.
Great job with my vehicle guys. I’ve called around trying to get some service but all the towing companies are backed up today apparently. I’ll definitely use swift towing in the future if I’m in a pinch
I recently found myself stuck in some mud and in need of a tow. Swift Towing came to my rescue quickly and efficiently. Keyler, the technician who assisted me, was fantastic. This was a dissapointing first time towing experience.
I drive an older vehicle that occasionally overheats at inconvenient times. On Sunday, I broke down a mile from my apartment and searched for the nearest towing company which led me to Swift Towing. I called, explained my situation, and was told that a truck would be by to rescue me shortly. I waited 40 minutes with no truck in sight when the address provided on their website was three miles from our location. I called back to get an ETA on when the truck would be arriving and was placed on hold for several minutes. They then proceeded to tell me that a truck would be arriving in the next 20-25 minutes, leading me to believe a truck was never on its way in the first place. When the truck arrived, there wasn't enough room in the cab for both me and my sister, so we had to ride in my vehicle on the back of the flatbed. My sister and I never felt unsafe because it was such a short distance, and we arrived at our destination with no issues. After we were dropped off, the very nice gentleman told us that "it would be on Swift Towing today". Because of this, I did not receive a receipt and hearing that it would be covered was a relief as we had been waiting for over an hour and I later learned after checking my account that I would've been charged $150 for the tow. I then checked my bank account today and saw that my card WAS actually charged the amount, so I immediately called to see what was going on. On the phone I was told that they don't know why the gentleman who towed me would say that, and basically I was going to be charged regardless. The reason for this was because the flatbed came from Grand Valley Towing in Grandville. This was not something that was communicated to me over the phone, nor were any prices for the service. I feel the biggest disappointment in all of this was the miscommunication between Swift Towing, Grand Valley Towing, and me. In the future, please be more transparent with your customers regarding wait time, pricing, and if the services will be provided by a different company.
My car had a error code pop up at Cars and Coffee Grand Rapids and after checking with a few different towing places I decided to go with Swift. They were fast, experienced with exotic car low clearance and fairly priced.
On the one day I have to travel into downtown Grand Rapids for work my Land Rover decided to have suspension problems and I called to get a tow and it went smoother than I expected it to. Thanks for the help.
Got stranded on 28th street in the left hand turn lane to I-96 bright and early in the morning! Fun times! Sergio came to my rescue and drove me and my car to a shop close to home and then also was nice enough to drive me home! Nice guy to talk to and great service!
Picked up the car, driver was personable, efficient, great communication. Dropped of the car and gave the keys to the repair shop. Other than the fact my car broke down it was a great experience.
I was given a price over the phone and an estimate of 45 minutes before they could get to me. They then called 30 minutes later and told me they sent the flatbed they had scheduled for me out on another call. I was then given a higher price for a different towing option. This was after I was given a price and had been waiting. I called Heritage instead, got a better price, and they were there in 15 minutes.
VERY PROMPT AND COURTEOUS SERVICE ! Estimate was as quoted, arrival time to tow the car was as promised, driver followed up with text to confirm that the car was dropped off at its destination, a very POSITIVE EXPERIENCE for otherwise a FRUSTRATING OCCURRENCE when our cars break down. I would highly recommend this establishment and would not hesitate to use them again !!!
These guys are amazing!!! I broke down in Grand Rapids and needed a tow to Battle Creek. They moved some guys around to help and had a driver to help in less than an hour. Nice trucks!!! The driver was great. I would deffinetly recommend using this company. And way cheaper than Merls
My car slid off the road in the snow and I ended up in a ditch nose up. Looked for some towing companies in Grand Rapids and they were the fastest. The driver was very helpful and got my car back on all four wheels smoothly.
They pulled my car out of the ditch and made it look surprisingly simple, after we had already tried with a pickup truck. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a tow in Grand Rapids.
It took 5mins from start to finish to pull my car out of a snow bank and I was literally charged based off the make and model of my car! $180!!! Highway robbery is a understatement! The guy CONTINUOUSLY told me I’m driving a Porsche so 180 should be nothing to pay! Steer clear of these crooks! Merl towing showed up right after and would have done it for $67! Your driver was unprofessional, rude, and as un-chivalrous as they get. I had my seven yr old son in the car and he insisted I stand outside in the freezing cold while I got it “figured out”. And yes merel’s towing very well showed up while I was driving off from the post office and I stopped and talked to him he was disturbed by the fact your driver would charge such a outrageous price. I’m convinced any good review you have on here is Fake! Steer clear of this company is my best advice!
Outstanding performance, the dispatch team is very easy to communicate with and the overall service was perfect. They made it very easy for me (someone who has never needed a tow before). They were very professional and extremely friendly! I would've never guessed that they also change tires and do fuel delivery along with many other services. The driver was very informative.

Our Honda Civic recently broke down approx. 25 miles from our home. The transmission was shot and we did not want to replace it. I needed an affordable towing service to get the vehicle back to our house and was worried that it was going to cost me more than the car was worth. I called Swift to get a quote and was more than pleased with the rate they offered. They were friendly and helpful on the phone, plus they were able to pick up and deliver the car based upon our schedule. Will definitely be calling them again!

My car alternator died in rush hour traffic in Grand Rapids! Luckily these guys were able to get to me quickly to tow my car to the dealership. Such a crappy thing to happen but Swift Towing made it less stressful.
My car broke down last week and I had to call a tow truck, it turns out that my ball joint had broken and my tire fell off. After calling a few different tow companies I ended up going with swift towing because they had the best response time. They told me it would be 30 minutes and they ended up being there within 20 minutes.
