Took my car in because the exhaust was getting louder than it should. I very pleasantly surprised when it just needed a couple of flanges! I was prepared to have to have the whole thing replaced, which would have been very expensive.
After I picked up the car, I noticed that a couple of dashboard lights were now on. So I called and made arrangements to drop it back off. Kenny called the next morning, and told me that he knew exactly what happened. He forgot to plug the O2 sensor back in, so he came out to my house, and fixed here! This another reason why this is the only shop that I will go to! Many thanks!!
I have taken my vehicles to Northstar for many years. They are very efficient and get my vehicles repaired quickly. Northstar makes sure to list action items that can be addressed over time vs. immediate needs. I always appreciate the care and service the Northstar Team puts into taking care of my vehicles.

I’ve’ been loyal to Northstar and the Keillor’s for many, many years. They not only have taken excellent care of my vehicles, but have, on so many different occasions, gone that extra mile. For example: > Took my car for a short drive to “listen to a weird noise.” The short drive ended by driving in my driveway. Jon asks, “You won’t be needing your car right away will you?” “I’ll bring her back when we’re done.” (Translation: This is bad. We cannot let you drive this another mile until it’’s repaired!); > Concerned that my battery hadn’t charged long enough before I needed to be at an appointment, I was told to “Take my truck. Swing by here on your way back - your car will have a fully charged battery by then.”
I’ve always known that they cared about my safety and well-being (along with my mom’s when she was still alive) while behind the wheel of my vehicles, every bit as much as they cared about my vehicles. This is a group of straight-shooting, honest, and excellent mechanics. Definitely the good guys.

Had a coolant issue, and a heating/AC issue in a 2007 Ford Ranger. Doug and the crew were able to take care of everything. I appreciate them letting me know all the costs and communicating with me every step of the way.
I was experiencing transmission issues. They got my vehicle into their shop in 3 days vs 2 weeks anywhere else I checked. The issue was fixed and even completed earlier than they told me and was less than what was quoted. They answered any questions. I live 30 miles away but I will use them again for service. Very impressed with this business.
My family and I were up on vacation and needed brake service. I selected Northstar based on excellent reviews and was not disappointed! They got me in and got the job done sooner than promised and below their cost estimate! It is so nice to know that some shops retain integrity. 10/10 would use this auto shop again. They had me in and out while on vacation at Bear Lake and got my entire engine computer fixed in 2 days. They called in favors with Chrysler. The whole shop went above and beyond to get me fairly priced and back on the road with my family.
I had been looking for a place to service my vehicles for sometime with no success. Tried Northstar and was extremely happy. From my newer vehicle to my plow truck awesome service and they truly care about their customers. I will be taking all my vehicles plus family friends vehicles to Northstar.

Northstar Automotive is the best! Kenny is knowledgeable and professional and they keep our 22 year old mini-van running like a top. Everyone in the place is friendly and helpful and their prices are quite reasonable.
I was there for an oil change and a couple other minor things last week and they even took a chair outside for me so I could wait out in the fresh air and sun. We won’t go anywhere else!

The crew at Northstar are great. I booked this appointment online. When I got to the garage everything was confirmed. They ran me home and picked me up when my car was ready. The best part of this routine maintenance was the diagnosis of a new sound and offering solutions.
My transmission went out on the way home from work. It was 10 after five, but they still answered the phone after hours. This happened on a Thursday night. They had a new transmission in and ready for me to pick up by Tuesday. They did an awesome job!
