I’ve been shopping here since it was Pinto Bob’s in the 1980s and I’ve been using them to keep my old cars running and in good shape. Now my son is going to start using them for his truck. They sell all kinds of parts and stereo systems, and reconditioned batteries.
Staff are always very helpful and nice here. To any first timers... cars arent propped up usually. You have to ask them to move the ride you wanna pull from. No pulling tires out back either. If you need any suspension parts, bring a jack. Wear muck boots, like any boneyard out there..
A bit messy and a lot of vehicles are on the ground without wheels, so getting to things underneath is a challenge let's say. Otherwise a good variety of vehicles and good prices.
It was okay it took me a little bit to find the what I was looking for but it was kind of fun.It's been a long time since i've been in an auto.Yard like that, thank you, and maybe I'll see you again.Soon
The yard is a mess!!!! They said they had the parts that I needed and after I arrived and SEARCHED far and wide, they DID NOT have one vehicle that was even close to mine orwhat I needed! They wasted my time and fuel with the miss information they gave on the phone!!!
Cats is a great supply source for parts for my 11 year old Equinox. Cars are pretty well organized for an auto salvage yard ! I appreciate how they run the place and make it fairly easy to find what you need. 5 Stars !
Came here for a caliper and I locked my keys in the at as soon as I arrived lol yes I was frustrated but George and Andy helped me get them out just to help me, no charge. Even if they did charge I could tell they genuinely cared about helping. Real solid people here. Great customer service as well.
George at the front counter was pure awesome. Answered all my questions in a straight forward kind manner, sold me some drinks after being in the god awful sun for 6 hours, and even helped me carry my valve covers I pulled to my car. Honestly this experience just got this establishment a new long term customer. I'm gonna see about buying a transmission for my project car here soon. Speaking of which, I do wish a price list for parts was listed on the website! I can't seem to find one
I've bought auto parts from Cat since the Mid 80's and usually can find exactly what I came for. It can be a little bit difficult to retrieve what you need because the autos do sit on the ground and the yard can get a little bit messy when bad weather hits.
A lot of popular bigger parts are in storage areas and ready to go with no problem. That includes engines and transmissions. I think depending on what you need you can probably get one of her employees to pull your part too. Very helpful friendly staff willing to lend a hand with your needs.
I would definitely recommend you go see Cat for your automotive needs.

They look up the price for each part and ask retail prices. Was charged almost $200 for side mirror that I PULLED since its “heated and foldable”. Can be found on ebay for $130 shipped to my door. Save your time and money and go to ebay or different junkyard
I have needed a few different parts for my truck and of all the places around the Lansing area the people at Cats are by far, the absolute most friendliest and helpful people. They are so amazing and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, they will try to help you find it. As a female teaching myself to work on my own truck over the past few years and not knowing a whole lot about mechanics and even less about bodywork, Cats has been super helpful and patient with me. If I had the Option to give them 10 stars I would. Thank you especially Aneita, she Goes above and beyond for customer service and she has really made me feel super comfortable out there and I appreciate her so much
Called ahead, asked about the part I needed. Was assured it was available. I asked if it was in good condition (very specifically asking about cracks, deep scratches, rust, etc). They assured me it was in “really good condition.”
Drove an hour and forty minutes just to get there and have them bring to the counter a cracked fender with rust on the backside of it. Obviously seeking used parts we’re not expecting perfection but that was ridiculous. The counter employee said “I’m sorry” and “we can discount it for you.”
What? Who is going to buy that? So I spent $45 in gas to drive almost three and a half hours and they refused to compensate my gas even when I called them the morning I was going to pick it up and asked for the second time about its condition to make sure the drive was going to be worth it.
DO NOT! DO NOT! do business with these people EVER!!!

I usually always go to cats to get parts if I need em. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about where everything is at. I usually don’t go anywhere else for you pull and save sometimes I have them take it off for me if it’s hard to get to or not the right tools they got my back. Prices are affordable and if I need to bring it back I can if it’s wrong or broke they will get me a replacement. They help me if I am having a hard time carrying stuff I’ll pay and they put it in my car for me. Definitely the place to go when you need parts
Anita is very helpful, I always come here and order parts. Today I went to order some parts for my car and she told me she’ll look to see if she can find them for a cheaper price. Couple hours went passed and she called me and gave me a price that was $80 cheaper. That’s something she didn’t have to do but I really appreciate it. Thanks Anita!!
Great people here. Only place in town willing to pull a used cylinder head for me. Jarrod's customer service was awesome! Felt like family! Highly recommend!

Absolutely love cats the owner is very nice and the staff are just as amazing . From my personal experience all of the staff I have encountered go above and beyond with customer service BTW sanitation for lobby and restroom was a A++ Last time I went there for parts the yard Techs were more than accommodating in assisting with part lookup and interchangeable compatibility definitely a 10/10 can't wait for my next visit.
