Everything was simple and smooth. Needed a radio for my Acadia; David made it easy and got the part shipped from another location out here. Called me when it was ready and was in and out in less than 5 minutes.
I was warned about calling this place people answering the phones are unintelligible and immediately place you on hold once you say hello. Overall company is pretty decent but people answering the phones are less than adequate and they are the front end representatives of the company. How to avoid this place try cats in the Lansing area or even U Pull and save
They truly have the best customer service. I had a scary accident on the highway and they were understanding of my situation and willing to work with me so I could get my issue fixed! 10/10. I will never forget your kindness and empathy. Buy your auto parts from here!! They care about their customers. Thank you!
Friendly staff and quick service . I spoke to someone on the phone who was able to find the part I needed quickly, priced it correctly and had it ready for pick up. I would shop here again.
David was super helpful finding parts need after my son hit a deer. He had the parts sent down from the Harrison location to lansing. Couple days later he called and said he had then in. When I went to pick them up... everyone in the office along with the guys in warehouse area were very nice, courteous and helpful as well. Thank you!
I've been trying to return a part they sold me that doesn't fit my car for ages now. 5 phone calls and every time they tell me to pound sand and they'll call me back. I want my money and it looks like its not gonna happen
Picked up a used transmission for an old Mazda from these guys. They had the best price hands down I could find anywhere even Ebay. Called them to make sure they had the part in stock, they quickly told me yes and send me a link to pay for it right then. Went a couple days later to pick it up and they had it sitting by the bay door ready to go! You never really know what to expect when buying used parts and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the transmission looked! They had clipped all the connecters properly so no wiring will be necessary to install it. I will be buying any and all of my used parts from these guys in the future!
Jasen is an absolute lazy person. Talked to him over the phone and asked for what’s the paint code and he said “it’s too much work and I don’t get paid for that search” disrespectful person.
Was a bit confusing when my husband was talking to an employee via text about a transmission for my vehicle and was told it would be available for pick up at Height's but later in their text conversation the ending text he got said the name of another parts place up near big rapids. So the day came to go get the part and we drove 3 hrs to the location by big rapids only to get there and discover it was at Height's and we waisted hours of driving so we turned around and headed to the other place. Barely made it to Height's before closing and by the time we got home, we had been on the road for 7 hrs.
Picked a very nice radio bezel with electronic dual climate controls....great looking piece and even better pricing. They are located in Lansing MI and easy to find, The staff was great and was able to fit in my walk-in order regardless of the constant ringing of the phone....the purchase was worth the drive.
Not very helpful at all. Asked for a simple part, was told first that they don't log the part I needed so they had no idea they had one. Later someone contacted me and told me they had the part I needed bur I had to buy way more parts that I didn't need to get the part I needed. Then wanted to charge me more than a brand new part would cost and be installed. I'd also have to throw away parts I don't need. Would not recommend this junkyard.
Absolutely wonderful experience! I had the pleasure of speaking with Janette. With her wonderful southern twang, she not only spoke with me about their salvaging pricing and policies, but we also spoke at length for the pure fun of it! She is truly an amazing human being. I am very happy with my experience. If a company can keep such a personable, caring, and funny person around, you know they are doing something right.
Horrible experience, got a part wrong 3 times and refused to help me out and gave me my money back . And he didn't want to look at my truck to fix the problem ! If someone is paying you money for parts then you should help out !
Ocasionally you may get the wrong part however they will issue refunds only if you bring back the part no matter if you drive 500 mi or more. Another oprion is to spend your money to ship the part back to them.
Called the other day to inquire about a radio for my vehicle. This specific part has been anything but easy to find so I figured it couldn’t hurt. The guys here ordered the part from another location and had it overnighted to this location. The part was there before 12am the next day. Put the part in and everything is good as new. Great people and great service. Would definitely recommend!
Would not recommend coming here. Got a transmission from them that was "rebuilt" and so far it just been problem after problem. At first it was one thing so after playing phone tag with them, they warranted the part that needed to be replaced. Now that that's replaced its throwing even more codes. So now im without my truck even longer because they wanna keep playing phone tag.
I ordered a bumper assembly with Crome grille and a headlight (3-4 days to get it). I got just the bumper no grille and the head light. The head light was the wrong side (my fault) and they would exchange it. They told me they will get me the grill after a lot of arguing. When the light came in it was for a different vehicle and the grille mounts was broken. They get parts through cook auto parts and they don’t know what they are doing. Save your money and time and find another parts place.
9 times outta 10 they are able to help me out with whatever it is that I'm in need of. It's just a bonus when ya happen to be located close by. I'll continue to frequent this place cuz the folks that work there are friendly and helpful.
Great place for parts new and used. Also great prices for reconditioned batteries w/ warranty. They have great prices and availability. They will go the extra mile to get what you need. Good people. Great business.
I called this morning (9 am) and asked if they take wrecked cars AND if they will handle any towing fees, I was told they would take care of it and pay me a small amount of money for my car. When I called again this afternoon, I spoke to the same person and he denied ever saying they would take care of the fees. He got an attitude with me when I assured him that is exactly what he said. It’s extremely aggravating to deal with a lying business person. Definitely don’t recommend this place.
So I ordered a part on Wednesday and went to pick it up on Thursday and then they told me I had to pay for it first and that it would be ready on Friday so here it is Friday and my parts still not here set up to make two trips to the north side now on Monday I'll have to make a third one
Jason was extremely helpful and the customer service was stellar! I had an issue with my headlight and bought one from Heights-finds out it was the fuse. I called the following day and inquired about their return policy and he was so kind about the situation. Definitely a trust-worthy and reliable Auto Parts facility in Lansing, MI. This was my 2nd time there and the staff continue to up and beyond their way-not just for the customers but the company.
They had the part we needed posted on the car-part app. Headed down to pick it up and was informed it wasn't even pulled off the car yet and that they wouldn't pull it until the following day. DONT PUT UP A PART IF YOU DONT ACTUALLY HAVE THAT PART OR YOU'RE UNWILLING TO GET IT. Glad we called on our way so we didn't loose a whole tank of gas.
I came to Heights Auto back in 2011 in an emergency. I needed a new wheel and tire for my old beater car and had no money.
Heights was there for me when I needed them. The people that work there are very honest, helpful, and understanding. Five stars.
I ordered a part and was told they will have it the next day, and it took a week. The radiator that I wanted had no cap, drain plug, or clips to mount the top in place an spent 80 bucks. Now I have to take time off work again to take it back and go elsewhere to find another one. THANKS HEIGHTS AUTO FARTS!!!
